Hello everyone...

Can you please help me find the cheapest way to get 6 day park hopper tickets to Disney World? Travel will be in the fall...

Many thanks and blessings!
nicole

an authorized reseller like undercovertourist or mapleleaftickets is probably your best bet. if you are a AAA member, give that a shot.

but it's rare to find disney tickets that are discounted very heavily.

If you have school-aged kids and they are offering classes that correspond with your travel dates then get YES tickets. 6-day hoppers would be $192.55 each.

Your best bet is to subscribe to www.mousesavers.com and then use their link to buy from Undercover Tourist. They seem to have the best price.

If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in the TPA&S Forum, especially Post #20, you can get a lot more information. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature. The ticket sticky is your friend!

Thanks for the ideas! Yes, we have school-aged children, and we also homeschool. We'll be doing a class for the kids while there - so I know of the great price on those tix...what a HUGE savings for our family... I'm trying to help some friends get in the parks while we are down there (they do not have any children yet) - so am grateful for any help/tips people can send my way! :-) Thanks again!!!

Would your friends be willing to do a timeshare presentation? They can be pretty grueling and a waste of a vacation day unless you're really interested. But the payoff can be a pair of free theme park tickets for the couple that suffers through it. Just google the different offers for complaints before you sign up. There are a few that can be very difficult, while some others are pretty laid back.

I don't know what kind of discount Undercovertourist offers, but I'm typically finding that discounts (such as Tickets@Work and other places) to be only about 2% (+/-).

Given that the typical set of tickets for a family should be about $1,500.00, I find the $30 difference between discounted tickets and just waiting and getting the tickets when I check-in at my resort to be cheap insurance against loosing tickets or having something come up at the last minute that causes you to cancel your plans.

1500 for a family of 6. Would cost about 1350 at UT.

1500 for a family of 6. Would cost about 1350 at UT.

Based on their publicly published prices, I found UT to be about a 4.8% to 7.3% discount.

Examples (taxes included):
5 day tickets for 3 children and 3 adults look like this:
Disney: $1,543.19
UT: $1,459.01 a savings of 5.45%

5 day tickets for 3 children and 3 adults with Hopper:
Disney: $1,894.64
UT: $1,803.71 a savings of 4.8%.

Note: The discount increases to 7.3% for a 6 day with hopper... because there is no 5-day with hopper (5 day ticket comes with a bonus 'free' day, so 5 and 6 day hopper tickets cost the same).

You can definitely save money by going through Undercover Tourist. Of course if you're the absent-minded forgetful type like myself, I agree that getting them at check-in might be the way to go. If you're staying off property, I would definitely go with Undercover Tourist and be extra careful. Having your tickets in hand when you get to the gate is oh so helpful!

For 7 day MYW tix the savings is 9%
