OK, Guys I am going to take a break from the Dis for awhile. I need to get off these boards some are just weirding me out, so I need to "step back" and figure out if I belong on the Dis

I need a favor though, once they decide what they want to do with the boards and were our thread is going to be, can someone PM me please?

Lets see. Leigh was about 2 1/2. She'll be 6 next month! Where oh where does the time fly?

Still haven't decided about the bottom to ruffle or not to ruffle that is the question???

Oh she is so stinking cute! (She looks just like my niece too.) I love that skirt; I say no ruffle.

I'm so glad I found the new thread. I was a little worried at first. I hope they get the old one back up because I have a little catching up to do.

Last year, before my trip, I was frequenting the huge thread for a while, then when we came back, life got in the way! I never thought it would be this long until I got back. I promised to post a picture of my first effort at that time. I never did it. I made seven days worth of outfits for my daughter and my niece.

Here it is. I look at it now and say "what was I thinking?"

I actually made a kind of a t-shirt dress from a tank top, cut out part of the design from the fabric and appliqued it onto the top, outlined with puffy glittery fabric paint.

Somewhere I have pictures of a few of the other things, but this was easiest to find as it was from photopass

OH. MY. GOSH!!!
Just got back from DL late last night, got on this morning and you were GONE! SOOOO happy to have found you again! YEESH! I think I'm completely addicted or something!!! duh...
Anyway! I have seen some amazing outfits and am preparing to CASE as we speak!!! WOW to ALL of you! Such talent..I am truly inspired!
DL was amazing, btw!!! I'll post some pics once I get them on my computer! Little DD's outfit was a HUGE success! Big DD's too...I need to start planning our next trip just for the outfits to make! Ah well, kids can wear Disney all the time, right? hehe!

This I'm sorry to say will be my last post for the evening. My Aunt called me to tell me that her granddaughter, Jenna's cousin who stayed over last weekend, has head lice. I checked DD's hair when she came home from school and found nits. Straight to the store for some shampoo and it's gonna be a long night making sure there are no eggs or bugs left over. is all I can say. This is my first time to deal with this as the mom. There isn't going to be any hot water left when I get done washing all the bedding.

Yep, just add an inch or so to the bottom of the bodice.



I am making myself a few ribbon tees like these...

Even made DH a polo...

This set I made for DD is no sew! I used Alenne's ok to wash it...

I LOVE the ribbon tops! SO cute! And, can I ask...still learning here...what is the Alenne's you're refering to? And how can I make something as cute as that without sewing? WOW! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I LOVED that movie. DH hasn't seen it all, just parts. He does at least get my references to it though.

Well, now that we've moved, maybe I can keep up! I'm gonna have to make a point to check-in daily or I'll be lost again!!! I have a bunch of stuff to post that I've been working on, but not had time to show. I'll do that later

I'm going to test-drive some machines tomorrow and I need advice:

I would like an embroidery/sewing machine (all-in-one) mostly for doing names and possibly some Disney stuff (does that limit me to a Brother brand?)

Also, how hard is it to get a rolled hemming foot and gather/ruffler for any machine? I mean are there some brands/models that you can't do that with?

Ok, here are some things I've done lately:

A nightgown for my dgd2. I'm going to send this to her for Vday.

Dd7 designed this dress (with my help, but she thinks it was all her idea ).

A sweatshirt for dd2 to wear to wdw in December. This is from the pillowcase

I have a Singer Futura 150. It is a sewing/embroidery combo. I only use it for embroidery, though. I LOVE my sewing machine too much not to use it. Brother is the only machine that has an arrangement with Disney to embroider their designs. However, there are many sources to find Disney designs that have been digitized by an individual and that individual is selling their designs. wizard: ) I have several Disney applique designs for my embroidrey machine.

I don't have much advice on the rolled hem and gathering feet since I use my sewing machine for my ruffler, and my serger for the rolled edge hem.
