Here is what I did yesterday. DD2 got invited to her first birthday party. I know, she's young, but she is good friends with this girl that is turning 4. Her friend is going to Disneyworld over Easter, so we thought we would make a custom for her birthday present. I did not have a lot of warning, so this is what I came up with using only stuff I already had at home. (Okay, I sorta cheated on the buttons, I had to cut them off a coat of mine because I have no time to get out and buy buttons before the party :scared1: ). I hope it fits. Ths girl is turning 4 but she is really big for her age. I got some quick measurments, but I'm still worried about the fit. I serged the ruffle instead of hemming but I think I really like it! I may sort of CASE this for DD2 (can you CASE yourself? :confused3), but I'm not sure if I have enough Minnie Dot left. :rolleyes1 sorry to be so chatty :rotfl: I'm just waiting for photobucket to upload my photos. My internet has been a nightmare lately.

And the little $5 Wal-Mart purse we bought to go with it. Lily has this purse too and loves it! I love anything under $5 :rotfl:

That is really cute, and love the purse ,

Ok, I got the nemo outfit done. Still have to finish Ariel.

way cute

Sorry I feel like I will never catch up. On the plus side, I finished almost all of my PTA work so I can go back to sewing again! This is what I did today. I sewed six sashes together and cut out the words from sitcky back felt and stuck them on. They are for the Father/Daughter dance Friday. I let Megan try one on if she promised not to fuss if she didn't win. She sighed and said, Anna Gabrielle will win for kindergarten. She is the most beautiful. Awwww!

Look at the dumb dog! He is in every shot!
how cute a Father/Daughter Dance and Megan definately should win she is adorable !! and i love the puppie in the shot .

Yeah! Photobucket is back up. Here are a few more... Thanks for all the nice comments on my children. I have said it before and will say it again, all of the kids posted on here are exceptionally cute and the mama's (and papa's) are so creative.

I didn't make the girl's dresses but I did make my son's. This was Liberty Tree Tavern.

Our baby had her first haircut at the Main Street barber. I didn't plan for her "First Haircut" ears to match her dress but look how perfectly they did!

My eldest got the glitter and gel at the barber shop.
what cute outfits.

Are you kidding? Megan is the prettiest! You tell her that the mama's on the Disboard think she should win. :)
I second that !!!!

Did anyone else get the big ad from Wal-Mart with all the Hannah Montana stuff in it? DD saw it and wants everything in it and has cut the Wal-Mart part off and put it on the wall of her room.:lmao: She is a total HM fan. I have been informed that this weekend we will be buying HM stuff and I need to make her the pink HM skirt. :rotfl2: She's too grown up for me.
My Dd did the same thing ! (hang up the ad)

I am once again sitting here with a fever ! i am so sick of being sick... where is spring ? i want it to be warm. :confused3

Yeah, yeah, me again! Photobucket is working at the moment, so here's the skirt I finished this morning. This is CarlaC's scaloppini skirt. I think it turned out really cute! Tessa is fresh from the shower.

This one's just 'cuz I thought it was cool (she jumped, she's not falling)!

I'm not sure what kind of shirt to put with it yet. But, I'm thinking of something with a Chip applique.

LOVE the fabric. And the bows are so professional looking. You did a great job! And good pic of the jump!

It's not as short as the 2nd picture makes it look. It rode up when she raised her arms.

Here is the Mulan dress I have been working on.

Mulan.jpg

This looks GREAT!!! I can't wait to see it on!

BALLE-Somehow lost you pics, but I love all of the outfits, but I really like the red, white and blue outfits! You have some CUTE kids!

Where do you find Lady Tremaine?

I got the Epcot fabric, but I can't decide what to do with it yet!! I keep hoping I'll get an idea that is brilliant!!

Hello! Lady Tremaine is outside near Tinks' shop, near the Castle. The stepsisters and Lady Tremaine, rotate with the Fairy Godmother throughout the day.

The Epcot fabric, I got at JoAnn's. I'm thinking of hitting another JoAnn's to see if they have the other style...I like that one best, but bought this one, just in case.

Ok these are the kinds of outfits my dd7 would totally wear. She will be 8 when we go and is "so over" the cutsie stuff but these would work perfectly!

I especially love the Red, White and Blue. How cute are those outfits!

For the pink halter on your older dd did you use a specific pattern? I would love to try to CAB this.
Okay, the pink and white dress is really a halter dress for a toddler that was from Walmart. My DD2 is wearing a 3T and my DD8 is wearing a 4T w/ black capris under it. I just embellished them with ribbon, pom pom trim, and an appliqued Mickey head. It was quite the popular thing to do last year when I did it. Now all these disboutique girls are like sewing experts... no more pimped out Walmart anymore! LOL!

Sorry, too tired to resize photos (but why should I, they look so great!)
Not Leslie, but I CASE'd this dress from an :wizard: seller. I used the bodice from McCall's 5036 and just attached a 3 tier twirl skirt. I looked for a long time to find a top that had a halter top with a rounded neckline.

Thank you! I'm sure you just saved me looking at patterns for a long time :rotfl:

Gorgeous, gorgeous! I want that pattern! When I show Luke those photos of Tessa he will be jumping off furniture too (which he never does :rotfl2: ). Seeing pictures of her makes him hyper :confused3

Here is the Mulan dress I have been working on.

Mulan.jpg

This is so cool! I can't wait to see it on Morgan! Do the Bitty Twins get Mulan dresses too? :rotfl:

BTW the Minnie dress was a hit at the party. I saw a couple of other mom's looking in it to find the tag to see where I bought it.

Heather this is absolutely gorgeous - My DD is a chip n dale nut :) She would love this. And your DD is so cute- I love how it looks like she is flying (she needs to be in a tink outfit next time as it is sooooo tinky ;) )

:rotfl2: Thanks! I'll keep it in mind though for a newbie like myself. I might be more successful at pimping out a Walmart outfit!

I think it looks fabulous! My dd7 said it looked like something Sharpay would wear to the parks!!! :lmao:

I attempted shirring fabric last night to try to get dd's peasant top to fit right. Well, I tried on scraps thank goodness because it never gathered up on its own enough. I'll play with it today, read more tips and try it out again.

I absolutely love this skirt. Looks really hard though! something to work up to! That chip and dale fabric is awesome! And I love the jump picture. I bet she does too. Yep she looks like she is built like Morgan.

Here is the Mulan dress I have been working on.

Beautiful! What kind of fabric is that? :thumbsup2

The sash looks great, and that Megan is just tooo cute! I disagree, I think Megan is the Most Beautiful!

Are you kidding? Megan is the prettiest! You tell her that the mama's on the Disboard think she should win. :)

Oh my goodness. My vote is for her. she's GORGEOUS! Love the sash too!

I don't know Anna, but I think your DD is the prettiest in her Kindergarten class and you can tell her I said so. princess:

Steph- your sash is great. I am sure any little girl would love to have one.

I think Megan should win not only because she has to be the cutest girl in kindergarten, but she has to be the sweetest little girl too. That was the sweetest thing she said about her friend. :goodvibes

How exciting about the father/daughter dance. I remember when Leanne went to her first father/daughter dance with Chad. Leanne was 5 and it was for her brownie troop. Chad gave her a corsage and she LOVED it. I have the cutest picture of Leanne crying and hugging him when he gave it to her. It was priceless.

If that Anna Gabrielle is prettier than Megan, she must be the prettiest girl in the universe! How sweet of Megan to say that! How long did it take you to cut those letters out? They look very intricate!

how cute a Father/Daughter Dance and Megan definately should win she is adorable !! and i love the puppie in the shot .

What a princess!! She is so sweet. Have fun megan!! :cutie:

You mommies are so sweet! I told Megan what you all said and she laughed and laughed. Then she was serious and asked what she needed to do to win. I told her I had no idea and she would just have to wait and see. Heather, it took me about 3 and a half hours to finish all six sashes (one for each grade). I was going to use my die cut machine, but the letters were too small. I don't know what possessed me to pick those curly letters but I thought they came out ok. My hand was aching when I was done!

Lacy, thanks for telling me about the corsage! I bet a lot of girls will have them so I'd better order one for my husband, he would have never thought of it!

Heather, the Chip and Dale skirt is great! I love the ribbons on it and Tessa looks like a monkey flying around: so cute!

Cindee, that Mulan dress is beautiful! I can't wait to see it on Morgan. What kind of fabric did you use? It looks fancier than just cotton.

Today is my day to volunteer in kindergarten so you guys don't be so chatty while I'm gone! I sure hope Megan's teacher doesn't want me to cut out a bunch of stuff today!

I have trouble deciding on making my dd9 outfits.....she is getting too old for some of the stuff I like to make. THis outfit is for our trip, and she decided she wanted more of a swing top and bermudas rather than a dress or skirt. I still have to make dd6 outfit. I don't know, I thought about making her a peasant top with purple sleeves and ruffle, and putting a ruffle on her pants. I probably will make dd9 mostly longer tops with either bermudas or tights. I might make her a skirt that is short to wear tights under.

Thanks to everyone's kind words on my outfit, you guys make me feel so good!:cloud9: It keeps me motivated to keep sewing, even though I am a beginner.:cool1:

I know what you mean. We just got the Limited Too catalogue and a lot of the tops look like that, but with sleeves. I showed DD8 and i think I have her convinced that we can make a lot of the tops instead of buying them. I have to start the HM top this weekend -I'm just nervous to cut the fabric because I know it's so hard to find if I make a mistake. I gues I just have to bite the bullet. I don't usually use a pattern, I just make it by eye - like I will with your top. I think I might use a silky light blue fabric for the straps and maybe for a sash around the mid point.

I bought some pants at walmart that fit perfectly for under a long top - they were only $5 and I got them in pink and brown. I do want to make some shorts for her, but they grow so fast!

Here is my youngest daughter's Minnie Dot outfit for Chef Mickeys.

sopheemouse004.jpg

sopheemouse006.jpg

I also found these purple shorts at WM. I decided to make a coordinating shirt. Older DD will have pink once the 6-7 shirts come in. They are for the diaper bag.

sopheemousepurple.jpg

I also finished the Fantasmic outfit. I am conflicted about the Mickey. Do you think I should add a red bow. I am going to do red, white and blue jewels and bows that can double for the 4th of July.
