Here is my take on the HM fabric

th_HPIM1358.jpg

I did a lettuce edge on the pants, but I am still debating on adding something else to the bottoms......... maybe some type of butterfly , IDK, what do you guys think?

Super cute!! I love the lettuce edge on the pants.

This is what I have been working on today. Both of these outfits are Frankenpatterns. They are from like four different patterns.

This is the first one.

This is a shirt and pants set. The pants are plain.

The printed fabric I used is a really pretty cordurouy.

Great outfits! I kept meaning to do something with corduroy this year and never did -- definitely next year.

do these fabrics match?

I got the pattern from www.fabrichound.com and the sewalong is here http://www.studiotantrum.com/instructions/LagunaENG.pdf. They have some really cute patterns but someone on this thread showed this one to me and I just fell in love with it! I think it was revrob, but whoever you were thanks!

I really want to do this but I am askeared!!!!!!!!!!!

I went and voted for Parker! She is soooo cute! I have a pic of my one year old asleep in the stroller with her head on the snack tray! It is sooo cute, but I can't find it! If I do I will post it!

Thanks for the vote!

All of you with amazing applique I applaud you! I just tried to do a Belle yesterday and darn it's hard!! I was using the apron with chip on it as a guide and mine doesn't look anything close to that. It must take a lot of practice.

Your girls are just too cute! I love all the outifts!
Lydia saw the picture of the stepsisters, and now she's thinking that she would like me to make her the Pink dress (which stepsister is that? Anastasia?) for when we eat at 1900 Park Faire! I think it's the pink and the red hair that got her!
DD wants the green dress for 1900 Park Faire in May. I'm gonna attempt it for her.

that is really cute and i love your frakenpattern

Love them all i would say yes ...

oh i am gonna have to go read it thank you..

Anybody on here NOT do the Disney Movie Rewards and want to give their codes away?

Does anyone know where to find Lilo & Stitch fabric? or even fabric like Lilo wears? Georgia would LOVE Lilo outfit, but I can't find hardly anything. and I am not to fond of the little tiny ones they have on ebay.

I purchased some from :wizard: but I know that Hancock's had some red hibiscuc fabric as well. My creation is in the photobucket link. I had a DISer from the creative DISigns board make a design for an iron on for the shirt for me. I'd post it again, but photobucket is still down.

Here are some photos from our Disney day, yesterday.

Where do you find Lady Tremaine?

I got the Epcot fabric, but I can't decide what to do with it yet!! I keep hoping I'll get an idea that is brilliant!!

WOW as of this second I am caught up with this thread!!! That is a part time job in itself!!! Tons of great creations too many to pinpoint just one.

I am sure this was probably said somewhere before, but where did you all get the Hannah Montana fabric? My DD would love it, well probably my DS too, but my DH would NOT love for me to dress him in HM!!! :rotfl2:

Here is what I did yesterday. DD2 got invited to her first birthday party. I know, she's young, but she is good friends with this girl that is turning 4. Her friend is going to Disneyworld over Easter, so we thought we would make a custom for her birthday present. I did not have a lot of warning, so this is what I came up with using only stuff I already had at home. (Okay, I sorta cheated on the buttons, I had to cut them off a coat of mine because I have no time to get out and buy buttons before the party :scared1: ). I hope it fits. Ths girl is turning 4 but she is really big for her age. I got some quick measurments, but I'm still worried about the fit. I serged the ruffle instead of hemming but I think I really like it! I may sort of CASE this for DD2 (can you CASE yourself? :confused3), but I'm not sure if I have enough Minnie Dot left. :rolleyes1 sorry to be so chatty :rotfl: I'm just waiting for photobucket to upload my photos. My internet has been a nightmare lately.

And the little $5 Wal-Mart purse we bought to go with it. Lily has this purse too and loves it! I love anything under $5 :rotfl:

Oh I forgot, I DID get the Minnie Head panels in the mail today for you winners.

Those bows are beautiful, and your dd is just sooooo cute!!

Beautiful customs and I am sure your kids will get lots of compliments!!! Where did you find the Mickey Mouse clubhouse fabric for the applique in the last picture?

I really like this!! Love the colors! Very creative to use the panel for the body...I was watching a similar panel on :wizard: and totally forgot about it.

That is just beautiful! I am trying to think if I should buy the pattern and attempt that skirt..I really like! Your kids are adorable!

This is GORGEOUS!!

Where did you find the giraffe print fabric, if you don't mind me asking? My Joann and Hancock have the zebra, tiger and cheetah/jaguar but I have not been able to find the giraffe print.

Happy CNY!!! Your dd is beautiful and love the silk. CNY is one of the holidays that I really missed ever since coming overseas...it is a big celebration for my family. As a little kid, we looked forward to CNY every year since we get "red packets" with money from the family and friends of the family!

Oh, another beautiful Tinkerbell outfit! Must not let my dd see them...she has this sudden obsession with Tink.

I make mine wedge shaped rather than rectangles. What I did was use the markings on my cardboard cutting board (the kind that's about $15 and folds out to about the size of a twin size mattress). It has a section with curved lines that make up a wedge of a circle. I decide the approximate size I want for the top of the wedge and start there to make the wedge the desired length. For these, the bottom width of the wedge is about three times that of the top. I like doing wedges because it allows for a lot more twirl at the bottom without having a lot of gathered fabric where it attaches to the bodice. I've created a few wedge "templates" to use so I use fabric as efficiently as possible. Here's an example of how they'd be layed out on a length of fabric. Of course, it doesn't work out as well with fabric that has an obvious direction to the print.

th_skirt_panel.jpg

I will have to make it this way next time instead of just rectangles.

These looks great!!

That is adorable! They have minnie mouse purse at Walmart? Are they in the children's department? I will have to head over there and pick one up for dd.

To anyone wondering about the Minnie purse (they also have Mickey), In my Wal-Mart they have them in the baby section by the hair accessories, socks, umbrellas, etc. and also they have them in the main handbag section of the store. They are $4.97 but I could never find anywhere that says that. I had to ask a sales associate. I'm thinking there would be a lot fewer of them left if the price was posted. My Wal-Mart has had them since December.
