They are so cute...and with no pattern! Wow!

Here is Jenna's Minnie Dot dress. I'm going to make her some yellow bloomers to go under the dress. I made her the little mouse ears too. One of the Mickey heads on the apron will have a red polka dot bow on it to make it Minnie Mouse.

Excuse the clothes in the back that is the clean laundry that needs to be put away.

It is so adorable! I need me some minnie dot fabric. Hoping my trip to Hancocks proves successful!

DD has a trip to a farm tomorrow. So of course she need something to wear. I showed her the fabric this afternoon and she said I wanted pink piggies! I had shown her fabric (pink piggies) on ebay about a month ago, and of course she remembered!!! I'll post a picture of her in it tomorrow. (This is the new round neck sundress from YCMT.)

That is great! She will be the best dressed kid at the farm!

I love the skirt with that shirt such a cute idea!

Hmm so anyone talking meet yet? I would love to meet people if they are gonna eb there the same time as us! And "OMG I just realized you will be there the same day as us lol. Where are you guys staying???

We are staying at the AKL. That could change if we get a better discount through work, but I doubt it. It will be our first time in a deluxe and we are all just so excited! We have never booked a vacation so far out...usually I book it about 150 days out, this is such a long wait!

I've been looking at that pattern. I think this pic just convinced me to buy it. Though, I might hold out until I see a pic of it being modeled. It looks like a really cute top/dress.

this is ADOREABLE. So, are you going to share how to make the ears or not :confused3

This is just too stinkin' cute!!! LOVE it! I love the pink cindy dress too. It is beautiful. I think that this might just be my fave minnie dot dress!!

DD did not want her picture taken this morning!! I'll try to get a better picture this afternoon. The top is a little fuller than the picture shows, DD's arms are holding it down. I llike how it looks with the tee. Tinka_belle, I think it would look cute with a peasant top.

Oh look at that sideways pout!!! Gotta love the drama! We have to love it here, or we'd go

Yeah!! I went to Hancock's this (well I guess yesterday) afternoon and finally got a bit of disney fabric!! This has all been on these boards before, but I was uber-excited to get some of my own.
Here's what I got:
DSC_0009.jpg

Between clearance and sales I got 3 yards of the "small world" fabric and a yard of each of the rest and didn't pay over $4 per yard!! Now I just need to decide what to do with it!!

I also went to JoAnns. I was really saddened by the selection of Disney fabric. They had very little and the only "good" one in my opinion was the blue Pooh toile. Oh well, I didn't need to spend any more money.

Okay, off to bed! I am going to post some of the things I have made in the recent past tomorrow!!

Jess
Good deals!! Our Hancock's has a pretty good selection of Disney Fabric and surprisingly enough so does our Wal-Mart.

Seeing the top on Emily I have to agree with you. It would look cute with a peasant top. I ended up making a Navy Blue Peasant shirt and a pair of Khaki Capris for Jenna to wear today. She always gets compliments when she gets out of the car in the morning.

This is how I made the Mouse ears. I took two black circles and sewed them together leaving a small opening. I then cut a circle of quilter's batting and stuffed it into the opening. I then smoothed out the batting so that it was flat in the "ear". This took some work. Then I machine stitched the opening closed, this next part you can't see in the pic, I then sewed around the entire "ear" in a spiral all the way into the center. (It looks cute in person.) Then I glued the "ear" to a ribbon covered Alligator clip. Make sure that it stands straight up. I then made two bows 1 red, 1 Minnie dot. Put hot glue in the front of the "ear" and glued the bows on (one on top of the other this will also help to keep the "ear" standing up), but be careful not to knock the "ear" backwards. Repeat all of these steps to create the second "ear" and clip them to your child's head. For the circle shape I used something that was on my sewing table at the time. It may have been a cup I don't remember.

Hi Everyone! Since I fell in love with the Stepsister outfits, I had to try my hand at them as well. The girls decided they wanted both the stepsisters on each shirt...sigh...
It took me quite a while, but here's one top so far. I will have the outfit finished tomorrow, but wanted to show you what it looks like so far.

Alexis also took a tumble down the drive way. She said. she had a roll over...:rotfl: she literally rolled like three times. Her face didn't look too bad at first, but now her eye is really swollen and her cheek looks really raw and red. But here is a picture right after it happened.
IrelandandLexieChristmas20072128.jpg

It doesn't look too bad in the picture, but it's much worse now...:scared1: poor dear...That's why I didn't get the outfit done...I actually had to take care of my kids...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Great job on the applique!

I am so wanting to get back to WDW. I think I am going through some major wishful thinking but I really am hoping to go the first week of December. What Dec dates are people going to be there?

I have a weird question:

Could you use a cricut or something similar to cut fabric for appliques? I do not scrapbook, but I was thinking I would be much more open to more intricate appliques if I didn't have to cut all the little pieces out myself.

Oh, and just to be rude: I updated my TR.

There's a pic of a dress by Castlecreations, so it's still on topic. :rolleyes1

I am thinking that someone on here used their Cricut to cut appliques. Maybe they will see this. I am also thinking that it was in Part 3, if you want to try and find it.

I think it depends on the fabric. I tried it and it snagged the fabric. Maybe the blade wasn't sharp enough. Thanks for the reminder to get a new blade and try again! It would be so perfect if it does work.

Good morning all.
I agree with some of the previous posters - Hancocks and Walmart, plus Hobby Lobby seem to have a pretty good selection of Disney fabric. There were a lot of Pooh items at Hancocks. I was just really surprised that JoAnns didn't have more. Although they did have a satiny (is that a word??) Miss Piggy fabric that, if she doesn't already know about it, Utahmama would love!!

I finally got some pictures together of the few items I have made for my baby girl who is due in July. I do apologize that only one of them is Disney. But now that I bought all that fabric, I'll get some more made!! These were all my first real attempt at sewing (other than hemming pants - I'm 5'0" and nothing fits!!) and following a pattern. I am currently just using a good old Kenmore with just a straight and zig zag stitch.

This one is for my brothers wedding, which I am in THREE weeks after my due date. Does anyone have any secrets to losing the baby weight in three weeks?

Here are some booties I made for a neighbor who's having a boy the same time as me:

And lastly - I know this isn't clothes, but it is crafty, I did it and it is Disneyish! This is the nursery:

Thanks for looking! (They seem really big, but I did resize them)

Great dresses for the little one but that nursery is GORGEOUS! I love the Mickey cloud.

froggy33 -- everything looks great! You did a great job and my machine is a Janome and I only use the straight and zig-zag stitch as well!

Your nursery is adorable! Do I spy Mickey laying down on that cloud?

Great job on the applique!

Can we see a closeup?
Sure you can!!!

This is the back of one of the ears.

And this is the front. Sorry that it is blurry. I left the pics big so you can see the spiral.

I wanted to know the same thing. I hope someone answers this soon.

froggy33- I love everything that you posted. That nursery is too cute.

Thanks! I'll have to try some of those!

Thanks all! The nursery did turn out lovely - although it was a ton of work! I still don't have any furniture yet! And yes there is a Mickey cloud!! He's not so hidden though!! He is modeled after the hidden Mickey in Splash Mountain at WDW. When my mom walked in to look at it she knew there was a mickey somewhere, so she immediately walks over to beneath the actual one and is like "is this it" and starts pointing to some swirls in the blue paint. Of course now I see a hidden Mickey there!!

We're actually doing a safari/jungle kind of theme, but there are Disney aspects. I got a stuffed safari Minnie and Mickey and a giraffe carving while in Disney over a year ago (I am an uber-planer) and then while in Disneyland last month we had her name painted out in princesses! So cool!

The nursery sounds like it will be lovely. You will have to post pics when you are finished.
