I guess I didn't get Mylie Cyrus tickets The site crashed when I clicked enter with my CC info and now it is back up (sort of) and telling me there are no available tickets. I even wrote down which seats they had assigned me so I am mad! I'll call and check with my cc company to see if by any chance they charged, but I'm sure it did not go through.

Awww, Jhammie It's ok. You can always sit on your front lawn with sparklers in each hand listening to a Hannah Montana CD...almost as good!

nope, no scalpers here. With 6 people in the fam, I could only go for the cheap seats. It'll have to be sparklers on the lawn. Unfortunately our neighbors that we always do fireworks with on the 4th are moving. The Utahmamans, the Spongies and the Sugarbees will have to come over and do sparklers and have a bbq!

I'm off to the "loincloth" restaurant with DH and the littles (the big kids are at a play with their cousins). I'll be thinking of you Wendy and Misty (and Jayedyn and Norah)

I am new here, and love making my DD clothes for Disney. We mostly have gone to DL, but can't wait for our WDW trip....here are some of my creations:

I really need to go read the tutorial on resizing quoted photos- but just had to say this is soooo absolutely adorable, I love the fabric. Bet she cant wait to wear it on vacation!

CambelScott-I about cried reading what that kid and her own MOM did to her-she sounds like a sweetheart! I second the idea of posting photos of other girls with this hairdo!

Crystal- how's your weather? Are the warnings til 6am? I'll be going to bed dreaming of Minnie dot fabric.....

Jham- so sorry you didnt get the tickets- what a raw deal!
-Utah- she can get more than sparklers! Dont you folks have the boxes of fireworks in your supermarkets? And maybe some speakers hooked up to that boombox!

Whew! I cant believe it took me most of the day to get those silly shorts done- . How does the elastic measurement go? If kid's waist is say 12" is it minus 1" so elastic is cut at 11"?

Thanks a million for the tip on using binding! There is a bit of bulk there, but I think it will be fine.
Tomorrow- I get to see my quilt in the quilt show and find out if I placed!!!

Planning- Called Disney Florist today and put together a suprise for DH and DD. For DD- sandpail and shovel with inflatible ball, Minnie sunglasses,coloring book and crayons and fig newtons. For DH (and me) D.Coke, chocolate,chips,sun block,cookies,etc in an insulated lunchbag.

Whale set~ I made a skirt and a pair of gauchos for this to change out.

101 Dalmations set
wrap style top with doggie button closure in back.matching blue shorts w/ric rac trim.back of top is a curtain panel i cut up. I appliqued the dog on the front of the white fabric to tie everything in.

This is sooo cute! Sorry she didn't like it! Thanks for the info on the frayed applique! I too like it straight, just making sure I could do it that way!

I've done both depending on what it was. I go all the way to the edge with heat n bond, then after sewing go back and pull it up, it frays a bit but not sloppily. I like it alot. I have done it where I stop the heat n bond in a bit too.

We were the only one's with the "Custom" made stuff.....mostly little girls in princess store bought dresses. So yes, she did get lots of attention.

When you go to DL you MUST go to CA and do the Ariel Pricess Celebration, either lunch or dinner. You get much better quality time with the Princesses. I do not know what they do at WDW, but at DL they have a Disney Princess Fantasy Faire, it is really neat, but to wait in the line for Pics with the princesses is nearly and hour! They have storytelling, crafts and such...it is worth it to go do those things, but do not stand in line for pics (everything is separate.

Don't laugh, but we did Ariel's grotto even though we didn't have any kiddos with us! It was fun!

The Princess Fantasy Faire looked awsome! That was a time during the trip when I was wishing that my girls were there! I'd love to get Drew there before she gets too much bigger. She'd love it. I'd probably send dh and Riley off to do big kid things and then Drew and I would have a Princess fest.

I would do it too! My DH actually took my daughter, while I took the boys on some rides, and then we met up. When I got their Snow white was just finishing up the Story Time, so I go to do the "Dance" with the Court and Princesses with my daughter. It was so cute! She loved it. Hey Guys. I just need to vent...I've had just a horrible stressful day. Nothing terrible happened just small things that built up. I think Violette is starting her terrible 2's early because she was just a little meanie today. She had little tantrums all day and when I picked her up to bring her in the room for a nap, she clawed my face really hard. I was so mad and upset that I just put her in the crib and shut the door and let her scream. She takes out all her agression on me and it's really upsetting. DH is deployed to Iraq right now and my sick (mentally,physically)mom lives with me. My house is a wreck! And when I say wreck, I mean it. I don't have any clean dishes, there are toys, paper, junk, and laundry everywhere. I just feel so overwhelmed and don't know where to start. It's just not one room, it's the whole house. I wish I could afford to have someone help me organize. My organizational skills are slim to none. DH is the neater one. I just love coming on this board. Everyone is so nice and helpful and it brightens my day to come here. So, I'm sorry I've blabbered out. Just had to let it out.

Oh soooooo true Jham!! I DEFINITELY would help organize your rooms- It would probably mean that Jhammer's would have to wait a bit for me to get to her craft room, but HEY.... if she's willing then who am I to stand in the way?!?!?!?

Listen- every now and again we have those kind of days- and then we have the good ones nad can really appreciate them. Tomorrow will be better- and if it's not, just remember that it will turn around. Take care.
