Hey Guys. I just need to vent...I've had just a horrible stressful day. Nothing terrible happened just small things that built up. I think Violette is starting her terrible 2's early because she was just a little meanie today. She had little tantrums all day and when I picked her up to bring her in the room for a nap, she clawed my face really hard. I was so mad and upset that I just put her in the crib and shut the door and let her scream. She takes out all her agression on me and it's really upsetting. DH is deployed to Iraq right now and my sick (mentally, physically)mom lives with me. My house is a wreck! And when I say wreck, I mean it. I don't have any clean dishes, there are toys, paper, junk, and laundry everywhere. I just feel so overwhelmed and don't know where to start. It's just not one room, it's the whole house. I wish I could afford to have someone help me organize. My organizational skills are slim to none. DH is the neater one. I just love coming on this board. Everyone is so nice and helpful and it brightens my day to come here. So, I'm sorry I've blabbered out. Just had to let it out.
I love it - you and grammie did a great job - I must say though sometimes patterns are confusing and several times I have done it my way instead of there way.Well I ended up at my grammies again today as the romper was more difficult then I had thought it would be, plus she has that really cool janome machine that sews the buttons on for youShe had a hard time with the instructions too so I 'm glad it wasn't just me! The part that was giving us fits was the front wear the buttons are the rest was pretty easy and straight forward. Although my grammy commented a few times "why does it say to do it that way, That's not the way I do it." So I'm glad I asked for help and since I was already there and made use of the serger and got some more done on the "other" projects that have been started on but not yet finished.
So here is sophia in her brand new seersucker romper:

Hi - I work in a children's hospital, and very closely with speech therapists. 2 1/2 year olds are famous for stuttering - its very developmental at this age because their world has just opened up and their vocabulary has grown tremendously - speaking is one of the finest of fine motor skills that we develop so the lips, tongue, jaw have trouble staying coordinated when the words come so quickly!!! Just be patient and encourage/allow her to take her time - I hear them say "use your turtle talk" with some of the older children who stutter - maybe that would work?????
My 5yo niece just had to get a 2nd set of tubes. She had them at 1 1/2 and they fell out about a year later - she went ear infection free until last summer - then she had a few. But, when I was spending a weekend with them in January ( our hubbies were away ) we started noticing things like she thought the phone didnt work when she held it up to her left year - and she thought my ipod earphone didnt work in the left ear - and she wouldnt always respond if you spoke quietly - and she said WHAT? constantly - so, after a hearing test by an audiologist confirmed hearing loss and a trip to the ENT we discovered that the fluid in her ears, all though not infected, was very viscous and the poor girl couldnt hear through all that gook!!!! So, a new set of tubes and the world is beautiful again!! She hears everything now and feels GREAT!!!!!!![]()
When I have done those I have used heat n' bond most of the time and you can zigzag or straight stich depending on how you want it to look. Whe I haven't used heat n' bond it was for smallish size pieces and straight stiched around it twice. Then I used a pin to pull up the threads and start the fray.I know some of you have done the frayed appliques. How do you stitch around the edges? Is it with a straight or zig zag stitch? I want to do one, but I don't want it to fall apart in the wash! Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA!
I Love ALL of them- But my favs are the cinderella denim overall fluffy dress and the minnie mouse tulle skirt/outfit. Thanks for telling us how you did the dots- very creative!!I am new here, and love making my DD clothes for Disney. We mostly have gone to DL, but can't wait for our WDW trip....here are some of my creations:

Oh no sorry you didn't get the ticketsI am sitting anxiously at my computer. Mylie Cyrus (not Hannah Montana?) is playing in a town near me on the 4th of July and tickets go on sale on-line in 30 mins. The cheap seats start at only $35 and it includes a great fireworks show! So I'm sure the website will crash and I will totally not get tixbut hey, I have to try right? I just really need a Diet Pepsi right now and I'm all out
and I don't even dare leave my computer to go to the store (but even if I did dare, I couldn't, Lily is sleeping). Wish me luck! I REALLY need it!

 We're here for ya!! It won't this way forever!! Just remember you have the horrible 4's to look forward to- you know when they sneak in the kitchen and start eating sugar first thing in the morning :rotfl2:
Then there is also the way they look when they are sleeping like little  And the I love mommie paintings and snuggle times and funny dances and prononciations (sp?) When the crankies are coming on- Just say to yourself "this to shall pass"

Give me a couple of days. A very different Pirate dress is next on my to do pile.Hey everyone!! Has there been any new Pirate & Princess or Epcot designs recently that I have missed? We have a very last minute trip planned in 2 weeks and I need to come up with something for my 8yo. Debating to have her wear the same thing or just wear what she wore in August.
This is so cute. I wish mine would still wear a romper. I love that pic with the cell phone. My Jenna is a cell phone freak too.
I do the same.

Anna, this is adorable!!!! I just love the picture of her on the phone. That is so sweet! Sawyer likes it too! He keeps point to the screen and saying "oooohhh"
This board is addicting..............
Once upon a time I was content occassionally making Halloween costumes for my dds. Then we planned this trip to DW and I thought about making them the princess dresses (Belle and Snow White). Then I saw the cute Mickely ears shirts and had to do those. Now I am making them another outfit for Disney. I got the top almost done for older dd yesterday, just have to do the hem and capri pants. Oh, it has buttons. I've never done buttons before![]()

(and I lost my instruction manual for my machine!)
.

I didn't have my heart set on getting them until I saw them in my cart and put all my info in and thought I had them.
nope, no scalpers here. With 6 people in the fam, I could only go for the cheap seats. It'll have to be sparklers on the lawn. Unfortunately our neighbors that we always do fireworks with on the 4th are moving. The Utahmamans, the Spongies and the Sugarbees will have to come over and do sparklers and have a bbq!
I'm off to the "loincloth" restaurant with DH and the littles (the big kids are at a play with their cousins). I'll be thinking of you Wendy and Misty (and Jayedyn and Norah)
