Hi Everybody..
Quick update on me...LOL
I went and took my NCLEX. I don't know what it stands for...only that it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. By question 14 I was ready to give up. I actually had the lady come over and assure me that I was taking the right test. I managed not to cry until I got to the elevator. I cried the whole way home. It was an absolute nightmare. I called friends who had recently taken it and they said it wasn't bad...I graduated top in my class, how could it have been easy for them...stinkers..anyway, after 2 days of worrying, I found out today that I PASSED!
I'm so happy. I actually cried, again, when I saw the screen and saw the word pass. I had to look at it twice before I really saw it.
Thanks for the kind words everyone! It's a huge relief to get that over with... Now let the sewing weekend, begin!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!! I knew you would pass! Isn't it a great feeling to have it over with, and to know that now you don't have to spend all of your time studying... YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!! I just got finished with school (BBA) a couple of weeks ago and nearly swooned when that weight was lifted off my shoulders! Congrats, congrats, congrats!!

Congratulations!!!

Does anyone have an easy pattern or tutorial for this bag? I need to "whip" it up this weekend as we are leaving on Wednesdy AM for our family grand gathering and just now decided I NEED this.

I don't have the pattern for that bag but I made my first bag a few weeks ago using the Debut purse pattern at YCMT and I after wht I learned from that, I could figure out how to make the one you posted. Although, I'm not sure how to do the inside pockets. Here are the 2 I've made with that pattern.

You would just make the bag itself the size you want, make the straps wider and attach them the way they are in the other picture with the button holes. Not sure about the side bottle pockets, but you could just play around with them.


You could also check Craftster. They have tons and tons of bag tutorials.

I was just going through my photobucket account and found these pictures of my kids from last Halloween. They made me giggle, so I thought I'd share.

I made Edie a 1920s flapper costume complete with feathered headband...

And Nate went as a construction worker, ooh baby! Look at that chest hair!

I couldn't imagine having to wait a couple of days to find out your results! When I took my securities licensing exam (WOW almost 12 years ago) I had to wait about 30 seconds for the computer to tabulate the score and post PASS or FAIL. It was the LONGEST 30 seconds of my life. Of course I had already been working for the company for 3 months and if I didn't pass the test I would be let go... no pressure at all

Congratulations!!! What great news! I felt the exact same way the day I went to take my Real Estate Exam. I had a good cry in the car on the way there and then again when "passed" showed up on the computer screen. I went home with the worst migraine that day all because I got myself so worked up. I'm so proud of you....way to go!
