Was the set called something in particular (just wondering if there is a better search than "Disney Princess Sheets"
TIA!
I don't remember what they were called. I know I bought them last fall on disneyshopping.com.
Thanks!!! I can't wait for Heather to see it!
When Lydia saw it she said, "Why is Aunt Heather smiling and you are not?"
Well, look at my HAIR!! Would YOU be smiiling with a hairdo like that???
OH MY GOSH!! I about died laughing when I saw your new siggy picture!!! I CAN NOT believe you are puttin' that out there for the world to see!!! That was probably the last time I ever looked good in a bathing suit!
Good Morning, I'm just finishing a cup of coffee while ooo-ing and ahhh-ing over everyones talent. This thread is my new habit.
I have cut out a "trial run" dress this morning. (25 dollar a yard fabric for a bridesmaid dress deserves a trrial run) I haven't sewn for myself in about a million years. It has also been about a million years since I was a size 10 and this sewing for a fat lady isn't fun. (I'm also not sure of a size for myself so I had to get a tape measure out. {{ouch}} I have lost 25 pounds in the past 4 months and I don't have a clue what size to start with until the tape measure was applied.
I picked up a pretty fabric on the dollar table at
Walmart. Wish me luck.
My youngest is not real tall... I just cut the bottoms off a bathing suit and I'm going to use a piece of the material to put on a tank top to make an outfit.
I'm so glad we're your new habit! Can't wait to see what you make!!
Thanks! She really does look a lot like Heather. I was always so proud of how pretty Heather was. (Still am!) I was always slightly geakier than her!
You are just the sweetest sister, EVER!

No one has ever had a better sister than you.
Heather, I forgot to quote it, but I love that jumper & the bear's dress. Is that pattern supposed to fit 18 in dolls? If so, I just had a great idea....
Yes, that's the 18 inch doll pattern. What is your great idea????
Hi Everybody..
Quick update on me...LOL
I went and took my NCLEX. I don't know what it stands for...only that it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. By question 14 I was ready to give up. I actually had the lady come over and assure me that I was taking the right test. I managed not to cry until I got to the elevator. I cried the whole way home. It was an absolute nightmare. I called friends who had recently taken it and they said it wasn't bad...I graduated top in my class, how could it have been easy for them...stinkers..anyway, after 2 days of worrying, I found out today that I PASSED!
I'm so happy. I actually cried, again, when I saw the screen and saw the word pass. I had to look at it twice before I really saw it.
Thanks for the kind words everyone! It's a huge relief to get that over with... Now let the sewing weekend, begin!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
heather - I love westies! my riley is a westie and he's at work with me today. (great job on the clothes too)
I like westies in general. But, Daphne has absolutely no manners!

She's constantly scratching at my legs as if I'm a door and she wants to go out! She gets a little nippy, too. I'm sure Riley is a sweetheart!
Tell her we're proud of her, too! She looks adorable in her new skirt!
How funny! Great costumes!!
and I'm sure you were charmed from the beginning since ELISA is a very important biochemical assay!
I used to ELISA on 96 well plates on a daily basis - LOL!

Okay, I feel REAAAAALLLY stupid now!
Even sadder it is snowing today so I don't know when she'll ever wear all the summery stuff I keep making!
Well, at least we know that Saylor is even cute when she's not smiling! Lily is radiant, also!! I love their little matching outfits, and the pile of clothes in the background! LOL!
It got up to 56 degrees here today!! People were driving with their windows rolled down and walking around in short sleeves. Woo-hoo!
I'm getting so frustrated!!! I've been trying to thread my stupid sewing machine for almost an hour and I'm obviously doing something wrong! I'm at the point where I need to pull the bobbin thread up through machine but it's not grabbing it! grrr....This is harder than it seems!
Okay, this might seem like a dumb question, but are you holding onto the top thread when you're trying to get the bobbin thread to come up?
If you are, I'm worried that the timing might be off. That's what was wrong with my machine once when the needle wouldn't catch the bobbin thread. It was going to cost me more to get it fixed than to just buy a new machine. I posted a video of it on
youtube so everyone could help me. Let me find the link for you so you can see if your machine is doing the same thing:

It's been a month since I went to our "local" Joann's. Last time I was there I was frustrated over the amount of flannel and lack of Disney fabric. I decided to go back and see what they stocked up on now that its spring.
Drum roll please..
I actually brought my camera and took a picture of all of it...
That is absolutely pathetic!! I just went to our Joann today and there was a whole row, about 10 feet long, 2 shelves, of Disney fabric! I guess we are very lucky!
I LOVE IT!! How cool that you made it with scraps, too! The pictures turned out adorable!
