You absolutely SHOULD! SHEESH!

K...love the headband...I can totally do that!
I'm pretty much finished w/the boutique outfits, so, if you want, I can make some of the underdresses...lemme know! I've pretty much got the whole peasant top down...

So, this is Saylor in her princess sheets...:lmao: just cracks me up...never in a million did I think I'd be dressing my child up in BEDSHEETS! I'm feeling kind of Gone With the Wind-ish....

Look at my cute baby! That is the smiliest girl ever! And I love that outfit! ;)

Okay, here is the white "underdress" I made Lily (and had to add a second ruffle to) :rolleyes1 She does have her white bloomers on underneath so it looks like even more ruffles going on

Oh wow, photobucket has new editing abilities :yay: way cool! Took me a while to figure out how to resize! It is being so much more cooperative and obedient now!

th_IMG_1073_edited-1.jpg

And here it is layered under a jumper. I finally fixed the buttons on this and made her headband so I like it much better now!

th_IMG_1080_edited-2.jpg

And Seth got a haircut so that was reason enough to post a photo of him (since I almost never make him anything to wear) And it gives me a chance to play with photobucket's new editing program :yay:

We had a great time and can't wait to go back!! Thanks for looking!
wow, now that is some cute boys there outfits are great

Hi! I'm back! Well, I had a much better time at Walmart with fabric then our "local" Joann's which had exactly 3 bolts of disney fabric. I saw the new Disney fabric...there was searsucker in Tink, Eyeore and Tiger. Sooo cute but I only had limited finances so I had to leave it behind. :sad2:

So here's is what I did get:
4 yds of Winnie and friends and 2 yds of coordinating stripes and a cool Daisy Kingdom pattern. I also got 2yds each of three searsucker spring fabric and another Daisy Kingdom pattern.

th_IMGP5075.jpg

th_IMGP5071.jpg

I have become a Daisy Kingdom nut....I really want their fabric but I bet its at least $8 or $9 a yard huh? It has such cute borders. Well I will try out these new patterns and give you all a review of them. Has anyone else used them yet?
My DD9 picked out some sheer silver star tulle and purple sparkle fabric with a neat texture/weight to it and a skirt pattern.

th_IMGP5074.jpg

Then I picked up some odds and ends....lining fabric, thread, bias tape and elastic. The grand total was $90. YIKES!! However it will become 4 dresses and a skirt. I looked in the stores and you couldnt get a Easter dress under $19. So hopefully I saved money???? In any case, I will post the finished outfits as soon as I am done.
great job at wal-mart .I love the Daisy Kingdom patterns just wish they had them for Jayedyn's size..

YOU GUYS! You HAVE to tell me the next time you go to HOBBY LOBBY! You are LITERALLY right in my backyard! HELLLLLEEEEWWWWW!!!!

You are SUCH a UTAH(mama)N!!!! :rotfl:

So, this is Saylor in her princess sheets...:lmao: just cracks me up...never in a million did I think I'd be dressing my child up in BEDSHEETS! I'm feeling kind of Gone With the Wind-ish....

th_DSC03090-1.jpg
now that is too cute . Is she wearing the lil' pants underneath too . Cutie patootie

I have this pattern to make dd4 a Cinderella dress. I'm going to do a trial run of it for her best friend's birthday present sometime within the next month. I just love the pattern. I've heard it's a lot of work though, probably because of all the gathering.

I think it will be beautiful no matter what fabric you pick out.
Actually the pattern is fairly simple if you just read it and not over think it i only had one problem but after i figured out what to do it was a piece of cake . And yes the gathering does take most of your time and Patience but overall i would make it again...

Jayeden looks gorgeous!!! I just love that dress!

Did your dear sweet MIL take that picture?? :rotfl2:

Wow, you are one multi talented lady!!! That is really scary about the infections. I will be turning into a hick hillbilly tomorrow, I'm having three teeth pulled due to infections. Then, bridges put on in a few weeks. :(

She is so cute in that!
No !!:rotfl: photo pass photographer Darling MIL did not go with us to Ariel's Grotto Thank Goodness.

I start my journey to getting my teeth fixed this week i get to go to the dentist today for root scaling and cleaning (to get my gums all healthy for my implants):cool1:
Then tommorow I go for Extractions of my broken teeth and then we go from there (let's just say when i am all finished i will be able to smile again without a hole in my mouth.:cutie: :woohoo: But i will have paid the same amount as a used car:eek: )it's all worth it for me (my self -esteem has gone down alot):rolleyes1 who knew a smile was so important..... so i probably won't be on alot .:sad1:

I finally got Easter dresses done. Of the girls had to match, but they decided Mommy needed to match too. I finally settled for making myself a skirt that is similar to their dresses. I love this dress pattern, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who's just starting out. Some of the contruction is a little odd.

And my skirt. I have a short sleeved blue sweater that matches.
th_2008_03090052.jpg

Now if only it will warm up enough that we don't have to wear heavy Eskimo-type coats with them
cute and i hear you on the coats A heavy jacket always messes up the perfect outfit;)

You ladies have certainly been busy! Here is the latest that I've finished. I wasn't sure if Drew would be interested in wearing the shirred top, but she said she loved it!

That's good to know about the pattern. For the perfect princess dress. I can spend the time on gathering.

Hope all goes well at the dentist.

HEATHER!!! That is gorgeous!!!! I have tried to comment and messed up somehow...sorry it took me so long! I absolutely LOVE that dress...turned out so well and Tessa is absolutely stunning!!!
Oh, thank you!!!!!

That is adorable!!! I love the fabrics!!

I looooove this!!!! I haven't shirred yet but I may just have to try it!!! I may have to see if I can find someone with a serger too b/c I love the way you did the ruffly trim on the pants and top!
Have you ever tried zig-zagging a strip of fabric on both edges? It'll give you sort of a sergered look. I made ruffles for Tessa's Christmas outfit that way.

 I know what you mean about a smile being important! My dentist did a really bad job of fixing a tiny chip in my front tooth (he took about half my tooth out and the part he put back is the wrong color) and I'm really self-conscious about it.

I am currently sitting in the waiting room of Teresa's oral surgeon. She's having several teeth taken out. One of them was infected really bad and the infection was spreading throughout her body. So she had been feeling really lousy for a while. I'm not sure exactly what they're doing to her today. It'll be a few weeks before they give her a bridge with her new teeth. So, she's really self-conscious about missing a few teeth for a while. Poor Teresa. She looks beautiful no matter what.

Okay here is the Hannah montanna'ish Jumper i made for jayedyn's friend Of course i only have a picture of the Not finished one because i forgot to take a picture of it finished ..(even after Utahmama reminded me )
DSCF1471_edited-1-1-1.jpg

and here is jayedyn's she wanted to help so i let her, She sat on my lap and did the applique and also sewed the star buttons on the pop (she did such a great job )you can't really see but the iron on after the pop say's princess she thought of that also so i guess in a way all i did was sew the strips and supervise ...

she was running late for school so i will have to get some better ones when she comes home ..
wow photo bucket is improving !!!:thumbsup2

OK, DISers, I need help. My dd has beautiful custom Disney clothes and DS only has one thanks to another DISer. I need DS some cute custom stuff. Any ideas?

Looks like everyone was super busy sewing and posting this weekend. I spent most of the weekend buying paint and painting my bathroom. Yes, sadly, it did take me that long. :headache: Now I need a new hamper and small storage cabinet to put in there. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm having a hard time finding anything that's not white or very dark wood. I'm stuck with the 1990's oak vanity with forest green colored countertop so I need something that coordinates.

Now, I'm off to catch up... I mean do some work...

Poor thing!! I hope she'll be feeling no pain for the next little while! Tooth pain and infection is some of the worst kind of pain in this world! You are a good sister to wait! I went with my little sister when she had a terribly infected wisdom tooth. The oral surgeon came out and said she was asking for me. When I went in she said: "Sissy will you sing to me?":lmao: High as a kite...you know what she wanted to hear?! A song from Mary Poppins...the Stay awake song! So I sang to her. The Oral surgeon was cracking up laughing...said we were a first!

There is something about sisters.

Wishing your sis no pain and a speedy recovery!!:goodvibes

Heather...Tell Teresa I'm jealous of her new diet! (Trying to look for the good of having teeth pulled!)

Love, Pollyanna

Lori, had you read the book before seeing the movie? Ive read all her books and have heard so many bad reviews of the movie that I've been reluctant to see the movie. Your's if the first good opinion of the movie that I've heard. I may just have to go and see it.

Things are funny in this house, I'm a huge English history buff, especially the period from Henry VII through Elizabeth I. DH who is English often knows more about US History than I do. Sounds bad but I've found older history to be more interesting. I had a philosophy prof. who said it best, that our country is so young, there isn't so much history. He was an Italian so I can see where he's coming from. :)

Have you read Margaret George's "Autobiography of King Henry VIII"? It's a good read, written from Henry's point of view (of course he was terribly misunderstood). She's done a couple of others - Mary, Queen of Scots; Cleopatra (one of my all time favorite books); Mary Magdelene... They're all big books - but well worth the time (except maybe Mary Magdelene, that one got a little weird).

love all the latest creations. I will post tonight the outfit I just finished for DD, I need the model to come home from school.

Here is what I helped my ladies make at work yesterday- One of the ladies is going on a trip in a couple weeks to the Twins spring training in FL

We decorated them last weekend then I sewed them for the ladies yesterday- yep that's right I got paid to sew :cool1:

And I finally got the Dora Jumper dress Mostly finished- Still have to hem and add the buttons. I chickened out on appliqueing the face, well I just did the nose. I was scared to mess up her mouth and eyes!:scared:

I gotta get on the easter outfits too!!:rolleyes1

Here are my kids in their first finished outfits for our September trip. They are finding nemo fabric from Walmart.

Sorry for the terrible pics, they're both sick and I was waiting for a good day to take a pic and then just gave up and settled for some quickies. Didn't feel like getting my flash out so they are not very good quality images but hopefully you can still see the outfits :)

"let me see that Pamper baby" hopefully she'll be out of diapers by Disney, not holding my breath lately as she is afraid of the potty :confused3

For those who might want to know, the halter dress is from YCMT pattern for triple ruffle halter dress. Cam's pants are Carla C's Easy Fit pants, best ebook I've ever had the pleasure of using BTW, I did use my embroidery machine to do the applique, I don't applique by hand and I sew with an Innovis 1000 by Brother.

All of the outfits posted on this page are fabulous. I need to post some pics of what I have been doing otherwise ya'll might think that I stopped sewing.:lmao:

Catch up in progress....
Ok this is the dress that I have decided on for the PPP. I am going to get dressed go to WM, buy this pattern and then to Hancock's to find the fabric. Any suggestions on what to look for. I'm thinking pink.
simplicity8953.jpg
Oh that will be so pretty- Have fun at the PPP

It was done with an embroidery machine. I used a coloring book page to digitize Cinderella and the customer bought the other designs on :wizard:

Here's a Hannah Montana set I did for a little girl at church. I digitzed the logo to match the fabric.

That's cute, how cool you can digitize stuff and make up your own embroidery designs!! My grammy has a janome- I wonder if hers can do that too.... hmmmm:idea:
Edie broke one of her top front teeth yesterday. I don't know how or when, I just noticed it yesterday afternoon... one of them is missing a big chunk. Has anyone else's baby every broken a tooth? If so, was the dentist able to do anything about it? It doesn't seem to hurt her, and it's just a primary tooth. I know it will eventually fall out, but probably not until she is 6 or 7, and she's only 18 months right now. I would hate for her to look like a hillbilly in all of her pictures for the next 5 years!:scared:
Oh NO so sorry to hear that. Those girls are trouble!! Hope she can get it fixed!:sad2: :flower3:
Okay, here is the white "underdress" I made Lily (and had to add a second ruffle to) :rolleyes1 She does have her white bloomers on underneath so it looks like even more ruffles going on

Your luke is also very handsome in his new hair cut- I was just informed yesterday by one of my grandmas that mine needs a haircut too! So glad she told me- haha
