Excursion times

If my excursion time says 8am to 2 pm- do I need to be at the designated meeting spot on the ship at 8am? Or will it be earlier so we are stepping off the ship at 8am?
Also, is the 2pm time the time we should arrive back to port? Should I assume I will be back on the ship by 2:30?

You'll find that people will get to the meeting spot before the 8 am posted time. It's also possible that your group won't actually depart for sometime after that as they wait for stragglers and transportation. But you should be there no later than 8 am.

On the return you will likely be dropped off back at the ship at the designated time.
