I believe she said she got it from someone on here!

Thanks! WHOMEVER GOT THE FLAMINGO FABRIC, COULD YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE YOU GOT IT FROM! THANK YOU!

Heather I am soooo jealous of that Beauty and the Beast sheet set! I looked EVERYWHERE for something with the Beast on it before our trip last November and could not find anything! You got a great deal!

I love the star wars cake! Great job!

Georgia's new pants are cute, too! Can't wait to see the top!

The girls and I went to the "My Little Pony, Live On Stage, World's Biggest Tea Party" yesterday. I had allready made Lydia a skirt last summer, but Arminda really wanted something too. So, I whipped her up a tween flare skirt. Really, it was very whipupable! I LOVE this pattern, it was one hour from pinning on the pattern to final stitch! :lovestruc

I didn't get any real good pictutres of the outfits, but here are some we took at the show:

Corey didn't want to go with us :confused3 He said that he found the full size My Little Ponies slightly freakish! :rotfl2:

What??? You said you wanted another picture??? OK!
DSCF2466.JPG

I didn't see any other kids there in customs. :confused3 But, lots of people stopped us to tell them how adorable they were. :lovestruc

Forgive the wrinkled skirts, they were neatly pressed when we left home, but an 1 1/2 ride in carseats wrinkled them all back up!

Cute customs! What a good Mom you are to make them ones for the show! I can't imagine why Corey didn't want to go?????????????!!!!!!

Thanks to all for the kind words on the costumes I made my girls last fall. I learned to sew when I was a teenager and am pretty good at following a pattern. But, I am a little lost without a pattern. I am amazed at the skill on this board. You are truly designers. I am really challenged when it comes to mixing fabrics and designing an outfit. So, I will be doing a lot of copying (hope you take it as a sincere form of flattery!) Below are photos of a Mickey dress I just finished.

I have also made a few other things, but don't have photos yet.

I love the gaucho pants and will have to try those as well!

Love the dress! Very cute!

Adoption Momma - sorry I lost your pictures somewhere but they are fantastic and your kids are so cute!

Just thought I would share the Cat-in-the-Hat outfit that I made for my little one. You can't really see all of them in the picture but the twirl skirt has pictures of the Cat, the little boy and girl and the goldfish in the bowl. Kinda funky looking but we love funky here...hahaha.

Oh my gosh! I love this! Where did you get that fabric? It is fantastic!

I just looked at my photopass pictures...finally!!! Has anyone done the photobook? Is it worth the 50 bucks? Opinions please!!

I did the photobook for my parents when we went last year. It turned out great. I scrapbook so my book from that trip is a scrapbook which gives you a little more flexibility with journaling but the book was very easy to do and turned out great. My parents love it!

How many posts do I need to have under my belt before I can post a picture? I just tried to post a pic of my daughter's minnie outfit, but it said my post count is too low.

I think you have to have 10...so just say thank you to me and you have 4! Go to the birthday forum and wish people happy birthday and you can have your ten in no time!

Here is the first of many outfits to come. We are going to Disney in April, and after seeing all of your beautiful clothes, I wanted my daughter to have something special to wear everyday, so I am sewing like a crazy person. This is the only one I have taken pictures of so far, but I'll post others next week sometime. Edie thinks she looks so pretty in it...

What a beautiful outfit and adorable model you have!

You can't really tell from the pictures, but the red has tiny white dots on it, and there is also a white fabric with red cherries. The solid white is a textured fabric that has little white dots on it... kind of like a dotted swiss.

Very cute! Hmmm...I have those fabrics

Instructions on making background
Things to buy...
1 sheet of clear plexiglass.
It is sold in Home Depot, and Lowes. It's in the back of the store. Ask the attendant for help. It should come covered with paper that you peel off. Don't buy it, without making sure it isn't scratched or dug up.
1 king size black sheet- I got mine at Walmart for 15 dollars.
PVC Pipe 1 1/4 inch. (or whatever diameter you want. 2 10 foot long sections will be plenty.
2 PVC Elbows in the diameter of the pipe
2 PVC t's. They are shaped like the letter t with an openin on each end for a total of three openings.
Cut one piece of your PVC 50-60 inches long.
Cut 2 pieces 50 inches long.(be sure they are the same length.) So you should have 3 pieces total. This will construct the frame to mount your fabric to.
Take the longest piece of PVC and put one elbow joint on each end. Insert the two side pieces into the elbow and you should have a big "U" shape. This is actually the sides and top of your frame.
Next take the T joints and put one on each leg of the U. Put the leg into the bottom of the T, so two ends stick out.
Cut the rest of your left over PVC into 4 equal sized pieces. Insert these into the T on the bottom to create some support for the frame.
Then take your black sheet and either hang it over the PVC frame, or use clips or clamps to hold the fabric in place. The fabric should hang down onto the floor and come out towards the photographer. The lay the plexiglass down on the fabric and smooth out any wrinkles under it. And that's it.
If the PVC instructions are confusing, you could always hang the sheet on the wall, and still use the plexiglass, but having the frame makes it portable. If it's sunny outside, you can take the whole thing outdoors and use it in the driveway, garage, kitchen, sunroom, where ever.
I used a hacksaw to cut the PVC, and I didn't glue the joints so I could take it apart to put it away.
It doesn't cost much and I think it has a great result.
I will try to post pictures tomorrow. I hope this helps those who asked.

Thank you, Castle Creations! Youhave been one of my biggest inspirations!

Wow..me...really? That's really sweet of you! I haven't been sewing that long, but I just LOVE it. They girls have closets full of customs and they hardly ever wear them, unless we go to Disney...LOL. I just love to sew and sew and sew...:rotfl: sadly...I have a pile of laundry that never seems to go away, and for the past day, the vaccum lived in the living room...;) gosh I'm even embarassed to admit that. Well at least is a cute vaccum...it's yellow and black...hey that inspires me to make something else...bumble bee outfit maybe...?
Seriously though, your dress and little pants are adorable and I love how you did the top of the dress. Very unique. I also love all of the little Mickey heads...I can't wait to see more..:)

Yeah!!! Thanks for this. :) I just got a new camera (canon rebel xti) and I'm dabbling in photography right now. I bought a bunch of muslin to dye at the last big 50% off sale at joanns. I had a link bookmarked how to make the frame but my hard drive crashed last night! GRRRR.... these instructions will come in handy. Our goal is to convert our garage into a computer room/ photo studio. Can't wait to see your pics. :)

I know what you mean! If my husband did not clean house, our laundry and clutter would pile up too. Yes, you heard that right... my husband cleans the house and lets me sew away. :goodvibes He is supposed to be building me a sewing center soon, because he is tired of having to eat at the kitchen countertop... I do all my sewing on the dining room table.

I sew on my dining table too, but do all of the cutting and ironing on the island in the kitchen. I always have thread trailing around on the tile floor. LOL
