I just wanted to give you all a cheapskate tip! Do those bows on Tessa's dress look familiar to any of you???

We absconded from Build A Bear with a handful of red bows....:ssst:

For those of you that aren't familiar with Build A Bear, the bows are free, we didn't steal them!!
way to go .... i thought they looked familiar we have a ton of those...

Ok so I think I am going to make some jammies for Georgia when this comes! I have never seen it before. Doesn't it look like a future nightgown?
th_princessflannel.jpg
that is gorgeous i think it will be a beautimus night gown..

Last Thursday the 21 Samantha twin B had to go to the emergency to have a wad of paper removed fro her left nostril. She was sent home with a Rx for antibiotics. Ok now on to Emily Twin A Who around 6:00 on sat night fell off Megan bunk bed latter and hurt her arm. So off to the ER for Emily and I Paul and the other two girls stayed home. They x rayed her lower arm because that's where she keep pointing it hurt. So 3 hours latter we leave the hospital with pain Rx and her arm in a sling and told to follow with our family Dr. Wed I take her for her follow up and Sam for her nose. And Sam checks out good. But Emily still doesn't want to move her arm so they send us to get x rays. I get the results over the phone about an hour later her humorous is broken the upper arm bone. So after Paul gets off work I drop him and the girls off at home and head to the hospital to get a splint on her arm. Now we wait till Monday morning to go to the ortho to have it looked at and cast. That's if is doesn't require surgery yep my baby could need surgery to fix her arm. Needless to say I am a wreck. :headache: I forgot to mention on Monday Megan got kicked in the face by someone jumping off the swing at school. She didn't have to go to the ER thank god I was afraid they were going to call CPS on me if I took one more kid to the ER. I guess in my house Trips to the ER happens in threes. Thanks for letting me share.
Omg you poor mommy! i will pray that it won't need surgery.. I have those weeks to and i feel like cps is coming for me too...

Mommyof3princesses, I hope your little one doesn't need surgery. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Poor baby. That's not a fun place to hurt, I fractured the radial head in my arm when I was preggers, that hurt like crazy and it wasn't completely broken, just cracked.

Teresa, I'm going to start on the flex programs while I try to whittle away at my sugar issues, and then I'm thinking about going to core. I have a soda issue, I don't do coffee, I'm down to one soda a day but I'm having a tough time giving that up. I'm going to have to just bite the bullet and learn to like diet soda. I bought a bunch of WW snacks at the meeting yesterday and I have to say the sweet and salty bar is the best, it tastes just like a payday without the chocolate.

I've been busy this morning. I had to get up and get out Pirate & Princess Party tickets, then I got us in at Cindy's for dinner that night, I wasn't even planning on going there but Delaney will flip. I got our plane tickets before they went up again. Then I had to get Delaney to gymnastics and I got in 23 minutes of walking while she was in class. I just ordered a set of Giselle sheets and an extra pillow case. Delaney sleeps under a quilt without a sheet so I'll use the flat sheet and the second pillow case for fabric to make her an outfit.

DH had an emergency at work that started at 6 am Thursday morning and he didn't manage to roll into the house until 5 this morning. He's finally awake and we're all going to head out for a bit of time together. I have to find something for a 50th birthday party for a friend. I have no idea what to get him.
i sent you a PM..

Hss anyone come across any dr suess/cat and the hat fabric at joanns or walmart?
Hey what ya gonna do with it? i want to make an outfit for Theodre's(Dr. Suess) b-day .... Like that is gonna happen...:rolleyes1

my kids are outside enjoying the sun and i swear all i can hear is screaming and fighting i wish i could be that mommy that just lets them run amuck through out the neighborhood ... (mostly it is because the lil one's are out too ) i really need a week at the tired hospital or spa.... any takers???

When we're not at Disney, she can wear it without the corset and just have a cute little peasant dress. Doing the "Leighanna":

mommyof3princess:  I'm sorry about your rough week. I've been there, and it's no fun. I hope the baby doesn't need surgery.

When Brianna was 2 weeks old, my MIL was over helping me with the kids, and she put Spencer (12 months) into the crib without properly hooking the crib-side, adn when he woke up, he fell out. :scared1: I took him to the Dr and everything looked fine, so we didn't think much of it, until a week later when I was nursing Brianna and he tied to climb onto the couch, fell, and smacked his head on the coffee table. he started exhibiting concussion signs, so I took him to a ped ER here.

12 hours later, they managed to get him sedated enough for a CT scan and he had fractured his skull. Then the resident Dr who had just come onto shift, saw how he was freaking out and I was at the end of my rope, and decided I was not handling things properly (gee, I was in teh Er fo TWELVE hours while they tried to edate my 12 month old,a dn my 3 week old who nursed exclusively was at home with daddy and no car), so she called CPS and reported me doubly. I had CPS visits for 6 months before they closed the case. I was a wreck.

Now I look back on it with some frustration, but at the time it was HORRIBLE.

IMO-Sometimes the hospitals overreact and sometimes they don't do enough.

Thank you to all the 24 people who PM'd me to win a custom Tom original! (Yes!, I said TWENTY FOUR!)

I am truly flattered by all the responses! Thanks for all the comments! I enjoyed reading them all!

My mistake hopefully will bring a smile to the recipient, or at least her "Ever loving Boutique clothing obsessed Mom!":goodvibes

I agree with that everyone who Emily and I talk to hospital wise how did this happen mam. Ok for the 101 time people she was climbing off my older daughters bed via the latter and fell off backwards. ect........ My word....

Ok now being the crafty mama I was just looking at Emmy's one size fit's all except her sling and  I could probly make one of those. So has anyone ever made one for their chrild before???

Congrats o2bacelt!

Okay, I'm much slower than Sugarbees, but I have been getting some outfits done for the boutique(s) we are doing.

I am sorry they are huge. I shrunk them first in photobucket, but I have been having problems with photobucket doing this for the last several days.

You've seen this one, but I finished one doll dress.

:grouphug: to you and your little ones. If she needs to wear a sling you could always make her a custom boutique one :lmao:

Hss anyone come across any dr suess/cat and the hat fabric at joanns or walmart?

As far as I know there is not any currently in production. You can usually find some on :wizard: but it's not cheap. I use $20 a yard Dr. Suess fabric as justification for my fabric stash... so what if I don't need Toy Story fabric right now, by the time I'm ready to make something with it JoAnns will no longer carry it and I'll have to pay 2 to 3 times the original cost to buy some on the "secondary" market. So in the long run I'm saving money - right? ;)

Speaking of crib accidents... For owners of Munire cribs there has been a recall for a number of models. You can get more info here: http://www.munirefurniture.com/recalls.asp You can order the replacement part online or by phone.

Congrats o2bacelt!!

I can't stress enough how much more I like the core program than the flex. I've always done the flex before and it's a great program. But, it leaves me feeling hungry a lot. With core, you can eat until you're satisfied, so you're never hungry!! You can eat pretty much any meat (as long as it's a lean cut), whole wheat pasta, brown rice, any veggie (even avacados), any fruit, oatmeal, diet drinks, and tons of other stuff! Plus, you get 35 points/week to spend on stuff that's not on the core menu, like candy!

Core is easy. Try it for a week, if you don't like it, switch back to Flex. I like Core, because with my 21 points, I am still hungry! With core, you can eat until you are satisfied, not when you run out of points. And, it's healthier eating too.

I think I will give core a try..time to pull out my booklet and read all about the core program. You are so right that that I am always so hungry with my 21 points and then I end up munching in the afternoon!

ooh that is nice :D Wow I can't believe how inexpensive stuff is over there. Sewing cabinets like that start at $700 here and go up to well over $1500. Mine is 2nd hand and I paid $277 for it - the newest version of this one currently sells for $1449. :) I'm lucky to get it so cheap as she didn't list it well imo she should have called it a horn sewing cabinet as it was by fluke that I saw it (after losing another table that went for $410 - the same as this but white)

here is mine - pics taken straight from auction so not my mess :) lol

I'm in love - I can't wait for DH to pick it up tomorrow :)

Oh, that looks like a great sewing table!!! I am still sewing on my dining room table....maybe I can talk my dh into getting me one for my birthday this summer...oh wait, maybe Mother's Day since it comes first! LOL

Love them all! how did you get into the boutique?

Lori

One is a boutique that my SIL has sold hats and scarves at and she got us in that one. The other one we might do is one my neighbor does. She moves most of the furniture out of her house and into her (really nice) garage and does a boutique about 4x a year. She gets a lot of business. I know, because people park all the way down the road to my house. :rotfl:

Here's part 2 in the Sewing for Dummies tutorial:

Thread actually needs to be IN the bobbin!

Especially when your trotting along doing ruffles with your now mastered Ruffler Foot Contraption and daydreaming and watching All My Children....

Grrrrr!

Jhammie- Cute dresses and Applique! When is the neighbor boutique? I have people who would want to go too. I seriously can't wait! Plus I've never met SugarBees. Did you tell her to have lots of diet soda on hand? ;)

Congrats to the weiner of the Tom's Original with matching pants! Now I actually have to cut into my (same) fabric and do it myself. OR, I can go to :wizard: and help put his dd through school!

I'm almost done with a peasant top and capris that I was inspired by (my cheapness) on :wizard: . I'm so happy with the way they turned out.
