At least I don't use her hair as a decorative trim for her outfits!:scared1:
As Tim G. from PR says, "You've got my gag reflex going!"
(This for all my Project Runway peeps!)

Oh, man! Wasn't that gross! That totally killed it for him. And Goth is so overdone! I am sick of it.

Thanks so much for the instructions. I am going to make one as asoon as I get a new machine. My dumb Brother CS blah blah blah broke and the part and labor cost more than the thing. Grrrrrrr... I am going to look at a Bernina today. They say they don't break. Unfortunately, that means mucho denero.

Here's Tessa's Mary Poppins dress that I "whipped up" yesterday.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her, ever! Doing the "Megan":

When we're not at Disney, she can wear it without the corset and just have a cute little peasant dress. Doing the "Leighanna":

This is soooo cute! My mom loves Mary Poppins. I may have to CASE it.

That is a beautiful photo indeed! Great job on the dress! You ladies are so brave with your white dresses.

There is a pattern in Teresa's bookmarks that teaches you how to do one for just about anyone. I make peasant tops all the time for me to wear with my renaissance garb.

Thanks for the instructions! I'm thinking of making myself a peasant top for spring....if it ever gets here...

Here's my newest:

Oh my!! I adore that cupcake and that pink dot with the blue is just TDF!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: The hair was a little creepy.

woooohoooo YAYAYAYAYAY I just scored a bargain auction win on a sewing cabinet - no more dining table for me. I can actually have a place to sew - now it's not a sewing room unfortunately but I've graduated from the dining table at least. DH is going to be pleased no more eating amongst my fabric and finding bits of thread in his dinner :)

Sorry just a wee bit excited

Oh, I know just how you feel!! I've always used our dining room table for my scrapbooking and sewing. I showed this sewing table to DH and he bought it for me for my birthday. I spent a large part of last weekend sorting through and organizing my stashes and getting it all set up. I love it!

Today I am going to get the serger out of the box. Wish me luck!

Good Luck!

ps I think I lost your last outfit, but I love the tshirt and matching dolly dresses!!

I love that sewing table!! I ended up buying myself a desk to work on. I love it. It has room for my plastic containers of stuff, a drawer for smaller things and I put a shelf up over the desk for my fabric. I was using a wobbly table that was too small to really do anything on. It is wonderful when you can finally get your own space.

On the inspiration from the weight loss ladies I have joined Weight Watcher's. I hope that I can atleast lose 30 lbs before we go to WDW in May. I have also bought an exercise bike. That once it is out of the box I intend on using everyday.

I just love the cupcake!! This is too cute!! Did you notice Tessa's tribute to Leighanna in her Mary Poppins photo shoot? :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: I'm thinking that was one of the poses she did when you were all posting silly stuff a while back.

Megan: What is Tessa wearing?
Me: That is her new Mary Poppins dress. Isn't she pretty?
Megan: Of course she is pretty.(big sigh and rolled eyes :scared1: ) but that does not look like Mary Poppins. When is she coming to play with me?

I am not sure why that dress does not look like Mary Poppins, I think it is gorgeous. And when did my five year old learn to roll her eyes?
th_IMG_0077.jpg

I understand Megan not thinking it looks like Mary Poppins. She is probably picturing her in the suit with the umbrella and such. Tell her it's Mary Poppins from the carousel. ;) My mom didn't know who Tessa was supposed to be either.

Very cute K dress and matching dolly outfit!!

She is so cute! You need to blow this one up and have it framed. Great pic! I love this dress! My daughter said, "oooo, make that for me!" LOL

Did the eyelet fabric cost alot??????????
Thank you! The eyelet was only $3.somethingorother at WalMart! It took 2.5yards to make this. I bought the stuff with the scalloped edge so I wouldn't have to hem it! It's a LOT more expensive at JoAnn!

No Way! That is freakin cute! She should wear that to 1900 Park Fare :cutie:

And, I love how well everything you make is so neatly pressed. I do that now because of you (thanks). What do you use? I use Heavy Starch, since it's what I have for "church shirts."
Aw thanks! Tessa's wearing her Cinderella dress to 1900 Park Fare since we're eating with Cinderella and Prince Charming! :cloud9:

I am a big fan of the heavy starch, too! I think the outfits look so much nicer when I use a little bit. Tessa's "corset" wouldn't have looked too good without it!

Here's what I did today! You all have gotten so much done! I am envious. Everything looks great! Hopefully I will be better and back to sewing tomorrow, but the kids have the day off from school so it will be interesting. I finally got my easter dress fabric today. Sorry I've not been commenting, but as Luke would say, my head feels like it is going to "consplode". Love everything though. Can't wait to show Luke Mary Poppins ;) Well, I'm off to bed, hopefully. The kids have been playing hide and go seek and are all wired. DH is out of town. Wish me luck!
You poor thing with your "conspoloding" head. I hope you feel better soon!

She is GORGEOUS! I am in love with that dress! WOWWW! Seli (dd12) says, she's beautiful...she looks like a mini Hermione! Now, you have to understand, we ADORE Hermione and think she's the beautifullest, so, that's a great compliment!!! Great job on the dress...Mary Poppins does not get enough recognition!!!
Thank you so much, what a wonderful compliment! I think Hermione is beautiful, too!

At least I don't use her hair as a decorative trim for her outfits!

Oh, and the magic to a wonderfully pressed garment? Magic sizing! Yes, that stuff is magic! A little can of pixie dust dressed up in a blue can! Should be marketed by Disney I tell 'ya!

What? I was just giving my hair a trim and saving the scraps for embellishments! :confused3 Tessa's next outfit will be made entirely of black safety pins! :thumbsup2

Your Magic Sizing comment has me :rotfl2:

Heather...that is BEAUTIFUl!!!!! She looks gorgeous in it of course!!! Way to go...I just have one question though...how in the heck did you just "whip" that up??? Hmmm???
It was a pretty easy dress to make! It's just a peasant top with a skirt attached. The eyelet was already finished at the bottom, so I didn't even have to hem it! I just cut the eyelet 20" up from the bottom edge, the entire length of the fabric, put one seam in it and that was the skirt part! The corset took a little more time because I had to make the pattern. But, the whole thing only took me about 3.5 hours!

LOVELY and GORGEOUS!!!! I love that first picture of Tessa too!!! Tessa looks so beautiful in it!!! I just love the way you took the peasant dress and modified it!

Now, she just needs a hat!
Thank you!! Yes, I will be looking for clearance hats after Easter! Thanks for the idea!

I lost 1/4 pound this week!
Way to go on losing a stick of butter!

How cool that you are officially moving off the dining room table. The whole thread in the food thing is probably why Henry is going to make me a sewing room! :rotfl2:

I would be honored to be CASEd!!

That is a beautiful photo indeed! Great job on the dress! You ladies are so brave with your white dresses.
Thank you!! I always thought Tide was the answer with white outfits and kids. However, now that I have a very messy little boy, I realize that Tide doesn't get everything out! :lmao:

Cool (or Rad! as the case may be)! Welcome to the club! I'd love to lose 30lbs in 9 or 10 weeks, but I can't see that happening! I never lose weight that fast. I'll just be happy if I lose 30lbs in 6 months!

When I actually try hard I can lose weight pretty easily. My main problem is exercise.

I just wanted to give you all a cheapskate tip! Do those bows on Tessa's dress look familiar to any of you???

We absconded from Build A Bear with a handful of red bows....:ssst:

For those of you that aren't familiar with Build A Bear, the bows are free, we didn't steal them!!

:rotfl2: I have plenty of those bows! :rotfl2:

And, I lost 2 pounds. I'm here often enough so I'll horn-in on the weight loss band wagon. I do the WISH thread, but I need more motivation, ya know?

I have to pat the kids down when we leave Build A Bear, because they are always trying to walk out with way too many bows!!! Great use for them heather!!! :thumbsup2

Way to go Wendy!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My origianal Weight Watchers 10% key chain BROKE the other day, so I REALLY need to get busy losing weight before I lose all my keys!!!

Ok so I think I am going to make some jammies for Georgia when this comes! I have never seen it before. Doesn't it look like a future nightgown?
