I've gotten the 2 weeks worth of photos into my project life book. Now off to journal

For the longest time I would avoid using the pictures that I was in, DD asked why there were no pictures of me in her albums. So I now make an effort to use pictures so that everyone is the page that was there. It makes it interesting to crop some photos. I usually try to stand behind the kids so that I am more likely to use a photo in the layout.

I have to organize my table, we just finished supper and the kids moved everything to the couch. I will be back shortly.

I am laying out my last Off Kilter page. It is so fun because it is from their first concert at the Fest, so they were jazzed to be back in town. I am trying to get 12 pictures on a 2 page LO without cropping them teeny tiny.

my other tip - put the zoom all the way out - you can crop what you want but my hubby won't touch the zoom button so if I have it close you get my face nothing else (me & cute thing - cute thing isn't in the pic - so where am I??)
as learned to look at the picture then do retakes then & there or I get home & really mad for a couple of week

I am a little obsessed on trips. We always have two digital cameras, cell phone cameras, water proof cameras, etc. I drive my family a little nuts. I even bring a thow away camera for Kail River Rapids so I can take pictures with no fear.

I'm usually only in a few photos for each vacation since I'm the one taking most of the pictures. But, on our WDW trip in November, we pre-purchased the photopass CD and it was so wonderful to have most of the photos taken by the photopass photographer. And, now that I'm scrapping the trip, it looks like I really was on the trip this time!

I am going to use photopass much more this trip too....plus bonus for me, since we are going on the new Wild Africa Trek, part of the tour is a FREE CD that will include all your photos!!!

Pamela--did you know that when you go to Austria you can visit some of the places where "Sound of Music" was filmed. I loved twirling on the hillside

"Sound of Music" has always been my favorite movie, closely followed by "Gone with the Wind" and "Beauty & the Beast"

Mine too Cheryl, no wonder we are kindred spirits Megan found out Monday that their dance recital song will be from Sound of Music, they will even have peasant type dresses....

When did you first start scrapping? About 10ish years ago
What got you started? CM party my senior year of high school. I took some time off, but I've been back with a vengence for a few years now.Why do you scrap? It's so fun! Plus DH and FIL love to look at the results. And DH supports my habit within reason.
Do you make simple or complex pages? Mostly both. I guess it depends on my mood, but generally I would say it was somewhere in the middle.
Do you like your handwriting? I do when it's not on my pages. For some reason the pressure gets to me and my handwriting suddenly looks terrible. Generally though, I find writing by hand theraputic.
If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Navy. A strong color, but not too bold.What is your favorite scrap snack? I generally stick to water in a bottle with a sport top. Less casualties that way. And fewer calories!
What place would you like to visit and scrap about? There are so many places I would love to go! And I would scrap a trip to the grocery store if I thought to take pictures. Recently though, I have been thinking it would be really fun to do a 3 week road trip from here to WDW and back, taking different routes each way and stopping at all the tourists traps. Someday I'm gonna see a giant ball of yarn, and yes I will scrap it.
Would you rather take pictures or be in them? Generally I am the one in them. DH loves our camera almost as much as he loves me and the dog. But I like pictures with people in them and I have no problem asking complete strangers to take them for us.

what got you started? Honestly, getting my cricut e for xmas is what started it all

Don't worry about it Steph, I found a double sided camera paper that I was able to separate. It turned out pretty good. I'll snap a pic in a few.

I really am sorry. I can't believe I kept forgetting to do that for you. Every time I remembered, I wasn't at home! Grrrrr!!!!! I'm glad you were able to find something you could use.

What got you started? My momma, wdwmickey

Why do you scrap? I love to preserve memories. I love to take pictures so I need to put them somewhere. I find it fun and relaxng.

Do you make simple or complex pages? It depends. Some of my pages are fairly busy and others are really plain.

Do you like your handwriting? Uh.... not particularly. Some of my letters I like, but unless I write really slowly, it is really, really sloppy.

If you were a crayon, what color would you be? PINK!

What is your favorite scrap snack? Pretzels and/or Skittles

What place would you like to visit and scrap about? I would love to go to Europe. Touring Europe would be a blast!

Would you rather take pictures or be in them? Both. I love to "set up" artsy shots and take pictures of scenery. But I love attention, and as such, I love to have my picture taken.
