Pineapple salsa:

I am very anti-measuring on this one because it really is to taste..
One can of pineapple chunks, drained of most juice-cut small
between a 1/2-1 TBS jalepeno peppers ( i use the pre sliced)..minced finely
about a TBS of cilantro leaves (chopped)
a dash of salt and pepper..
thats it! super easy..its very good on chicken and fish, and now that i think of it it would probably be good on some sort of lean red meat fajita as well :)

to my fellow AI peeps - did you guys see david cook tonight? that was AWESOME! DH is gonna get it off itunes tomorrow. we both loved it! even if for some odd reason he doesn't make it as an entertainer (which i totally think he will), that guy is gonna make a great music producer!!!

Edited... I don't think we are going to make the Illuminations Dinner after all. We are basically saving all of our bang for the buck for V&As, and decided against the $120...

Our May trip only has two real plans so far, 5/19 of Biergarten, and 5/21 of Victoria&Alberts for our anniversary dinner. We will be at CSR on May 17, and BCV from 18-23.

Lynda~ The Illuminations dinner is on 5/19. I've been on the phone with GG twice in two days and I've forgotten to ask if there were still seats available. I see a few spots were our schedules overlap. If you can't make it for the dinner, we can try to get together some other time.

5/17- arrive in Orlando, probably after 9pm....no WDW

5/18- AK; lunch @ Flame Tree, Safari Celebration dinner

5/19- DHS; lunch open, International Dinner in Epcot (I'm thinking we'll get to tha park late in the afternoon)

5/20- Epcot; lunch @ Garden Grill, dinner at LC

5/21- DD's 14th B-day! MK; CRT breakfast, lunch open, O'Hana dinner, pirate: & princess: party!

5/22- Free day; breakfast @ MC then water park; dinner @ Boma; DTD to finish the night

5/23- MK or DHS; breakfast @ Kona Cali Grill for dinner. This may be our only chance to see Fantasmic so we may wind up in DHS.

5/24- check out, finish shopping, maybe GF photo pkg.

Hi Ladies - I mentioned my May solo trip awhile ago but not sure if I mentioned the dates. I'm arriving Thursday May 15 and checking out on Sunday the 18th. Short but sweet. Thursday and Friday will probably be me alone and Saturday I will probably be hanging out with an Orlando friend (possibly in the parks/possibly not). I haven't made up a plan yet as to what I want to do since it is just me. I know for sure I want to hit Epcot, MK and maybe AK since I always skip it or cut trip shorts on our other disney vacations.

We'll have to see if we can come up with something. I'm going to try to fill in my PassPorter tonight, and I need to call tomorrow to try to book the manis/pedis and maybe a GF photo session. I'll see if I can come up with anything. And Noni, if you find out about the Illuminations thing, let me know. :)

Here is as close as I can get to before/current. Before was probably about 200-205 (about 10-15 down from my highest), and current is 172. I am 5'8".

i knew it would happen.... :scared1:
as it always has before when i actually obey a healthy HIGH FIBER eating plan for more than 1 day...I got a big ole case of the "FIBERS" today...i do not need to go into details, as i am sure that many of you know EXACTLY what i am talking about..lets just say I thought i was having an appendicitis attack, but i was WAY wrong.
So just a word of caution before you OD on fiber like i think i have been for the last few days..although i have a better chance of seeing a really pretty number on friday...:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I have to eat 2-3 days of high fiber foods before I get any result........ dang sluggish digestive tract....... It does help for nice numbers at the end of the week because it all comes off at once.

So I was doing really, really good and staying on plan. That was until I went to work and we had Boston Market catered for us by a rep today....... I love certain items from there...... especially the sweet potato casserole. I had two helpings...... I was able to do a small portion of everything else and even skipped dessert but ooooh those sweet potatoes......

In non-diet news........ I got Dh to let me book for free dining in Sept!!!! I'm so excited! He's leaving the $$ planning to me so I have to make sure I can pull it off or he'll want to cancel.
 

I went back to the doctor today. I have an ear infection. I am now on antibiotics. I called the advice nurse from the playground while I had the kids out for recess. She said, "Boy, it's loud out there." I wanted to say, "Really, I wouldn't know because I CAN'T HEAR!" They had me on hold and I had to call back 3 times before I got an appt., just so they could look in my ear and confirm what I already knew. Sheesh!

I'm totally loving that Costco Mango Salsa on everything! :lovestruc (instead of high sugar ketchup).

At least sweet potatoes are not empty calories. If you think of food as fuel, they are Premium. So don't feel too bad. That's a pretty good splurge.

So, the worst part of my appt. today was, I had to weigh on the "big" scale, and there was some guy standing there, just staring. I was up 2 lbs. from Monday (different clothes etc) and i told the nurse, "I had a lot of water today!" I was also tempted to mention that I had not had anything close to a "case of the fibers" (God help me, that made me giggle) because I have had so little physical activity this week. So, I guess I better get on the water/fiber bandwagon, or Friday will not be pretty for me.

I'm feeling much better today! Dropped 4lbs as of yesterday am, but I'm sure that'll change by tomorrow as I start getting real food in again. Thanks for the well wishes & pixie dust!

Well, now no body can say you're full of...:rolleyes1 lol! Gotta ease into the fiber! Or, if you want to stop yourself up a bit, take an iron supplement.

That really makes it hit home for me, when I see it in pictures, or try on clothes that are suddenly to big! (much better than feeling the clothes get tighter...that is very depressing)
 
Thanks for the welcome. I went for a 45 min walk yesterday pulling my 2 year old in her wagon around our neighborhood last night. It was so nice here in the 70's. I am so looking forward to spring.
 
In about 1/2 hour I take DD(14) for an MRI. The orthopedist is fairly ertain she has a torn meniscus and will need surgery! We have another appointment with him tomorrow a.m. to go over the MRI and determine whether the surgery is a go. DD just wants to get back to the track team and is very upset that she is very likely out for the whole season. Her knee locked up while running at track practice the day before their first meet (last week). She didn't trip or anything, it just stopped working. Our school district is lucky to have the best track in the entire state. The HS State track meets are always held here, because we have the best conditions. The doctor asked if she tripped on the track surface or anything like that and about what type of surface she was running on. When he heard where she was running, he said well there is no safer surface to run on than that track.

Since Fridays are totally cursed, I'm going to take a huge chance and tell you that it's now at-15.0 pounds lost since the 6th!!!!

Tomorrow, we'll see.

To re-cap, here's what I'm doing that I would call "different" than what I did prior to the 6th.

1. Getting along with DH. After a year of marriage counseling and some recent great help with that, we're totally putting each other first. Very lovey dovey. It's funny how the weight is coming off as a result of being truly HAPPY.:confused3

2. Off the hooch! (Hooch=diet Pepsi for you newbs) Ok, I don't mean "Off" but I DO have ONE single can of diet Pepsi Max in the AM to get my motor going. As opposed to three 64 ounce Big Gulps per day!!!!

3. ONE meal each day is a protein shake mixed with water (as per the instructions) but I double it!!!! So it's 50 grams of protein (vanilla snot!) with 12 oz. COOOOLD water. I bought theTwin Labs one for the low sugar, it's not too bad, I guess.

Hope all is well..still on the WW wagon..OH does anyone every use there alloted 35 flex points during the week. I have not tapped into them at all yet, but i might a little this weekend since we are going out for Greg's brother's birthday sat. night...just wondering, i mean they give them these big beautiful extra points, i imagine we can use some of them right?? ;)
 
I use ALL my 35 points every week and still manange to lose weight since January i have lost 22 pounds!
