Good morning.

UtahMama, the "write what you bite" theory is definitely working for me this week. Wow, not so interested in those devil cookies if I have to write it down. Great tip you guys, thanks. Hopefully everyone else is already doing this, makes it hard to lie to yourself.

If I take a mindless-zombie-bite I record a point! So I don't want to waste my points so it makes me think before I eat.
Devil cookies are NOT worth it!

Have Fun!!!!

Ok, sounds like the consensus is to have our next mini-challenge be set for Cinco de Mayo. So far I've got:

Me - Lose 4.1 lbs to get under 165
HockeyKat - Lose 5 lbs (I promise I won't lose you half way through this time!!!)
Pakey - Lose 7 lbs
UtahMama - Lose 5 lbs

Who else is in?

Have a great night everyone!

I'm in for 5lbs.

In other news I'm still feeling crappy. I worked a full day yesterday and only did a half day today. Hopefully I'll be back in gear tomorrow. I'm not worrying about food or exercise this week. I'm lucky to find anything appetizing enough to eat and I'm just too run down to move more than I have to.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Hi all,

Well Im finally feeling better :cool1: I think I must've just picked up a virus, it knocked me for six thats for sure! Hopefully I'll have lost this week, Ive not eaten much at all, but ive not been able to exercise either so everything has just kind of stayed where it was! :rotfl:

Oh well, Im back on board now, DF bought me a nice new writing book in the sale at the Disney Store at our local shopping centre, so that is going to be my weight-loss journal. The reason for the new jumping on the wagon is I tried my wedding dress on today, it looked.....fine. I want to lose 7lbs to be at my new target weight, then it will look like I imagined it to look!

Sorry for the mini-moan, Im just a bit down after the dress trying. Its disheartening when you have an image in your head and it doesn't quite live up to expectations. Time is on my side though - I dont get married till August!

Ive managed to catch up on all the pages, but have totally lost what I wanted to say!

Dance - Your kids are Gorgeous!

Sparkie - Im secretly pleased for you too. When I was your daughters age I thought I wanted to date a 22yr old too. He was not nice, and thankfully realised that myself in plenty of time.

Aaron - will you please put me down for 5lbs for Cinco de Mayo

I've got you marked down! Here's the roster so far...

f_Peepm_48df4f4.png

And yeah, you've got plenty of time to lose those 7 pounds! I got married in August of 2005, and it was about this time of the year that I realized that I needed to lose some weight before the wedding. And I was able to lose 25 lbs between March/April and August. Granted, I had a bunch to lose so it came off fairly quickly. But I didn't have the support of the peeps either, which I just know will help you fabulous in that dress!

count me in for 6 pounds! :goodvibes

So now I'll try to save up for the toast. I got the best Orrowheat multi grain bread, but it's 2 points. ACK! The lite bread that's 45 calories is just so un- fullfilling. Does anyone agree with that? I'd rather have one great piece than 2 airy, light, stupid pieces of "bread".

Totally Off Topic:
I'm taking Norah to get her hair cut in an A line! Weeee! I bet she'll be so cute with a new do!

I totally agree if you're a toast person to save the points for the "good" piece of bread and only have one good then two yucky ones. Oh post pictures of her new do.

I would seriously never be able to do low carb for more than about 10minutes. I love bread  Like in an unhealthy, unnatural kind of way :rotfl: That is why I love WW so much, nothing is forbibdden...even real bread!

I could never give up bread either.

I'm off to Reno tomorrow, so I won't be able to weigh in until Saturday. I'll keep 5/5 in my head to help me have some control. Our hotel has a gym, so I'm packing some workout duds as well as my swimsuit for the indoor pool. Everybody wish me luck with the one-armed bandits. :shamrock:

Have a safe trip

So I leave for Disney in 7 weeks from today!
I want to lose 7 more pounds before I go. I was a little discourage because I did not lose weight last week but today I measured myself and I noticed a HUGE difference.

Here were my original measurements I took back in January
Bust 37.50
Waist 30
Hips 40.50
Arms 11
IL 23.75
IR 23.50

Here were my measurements the beginning of March
Bust 36.75
Waist 29
Hips 39.75
Inner Left almost 22.75
Inner Right a little under 23.00
Arms 10.5

and here are my measurements as of this morning
Bust 36
Waist 28.75
Hips 39
IL 22.50
IR 22.50
Arms 10.25

My goal for my disney trip is a 38 hips! because it will get me back in some of my skinny jeans and my arms to be thinner.

If anyone ever gets frustrated with their progress as far as the scale goes take your measurements sometimes the scale does not give the full picture of all your progress

:thumbsup2

If anyone is interested or still reading it, I updated my TR with a Mini-Installment this morning. I am trying to get it finished ASAP. This really was harder than I expected it to be, but I am enjoying re-living my trip!

ENJOY!!! :yay:

After I finish quoting this I'm off to read it.

Hope everyone has a good day, don't forget- summers coming and shorts weather will be here before you know it! This weekend we're supposed to get up to 80 degrees here! The pressure is on.
:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

It was 56 degrees in CT today and I thought that was cool but 80 sounds a lot better.

Alright peeps.
I need help.
I'm at 197.
:scared1:
I CAN NOT GET TO 200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been traveling a lot and free breakfast is hard to resist.
But I feel so fat. :( :( :(

You are not fat. I weigh a lot more than you so I know what it feels like to hit that 2, don't worry you'll be fine. Try to eat more fruit for breakfast.

and i'm doing another class tomorrow night called "no mercy." :scared1: i'll let you guys know how it goes.

see my ticker down there? 1 MONTH TO GO!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

Yeah to one more month and no mercy sounds like it going to hurt

I have exciting news too....there is a possibility that i will be going to DISNEYLAND for the first time ever in October! :) Greg and i are goign to start a fund and if we can swing it..we are heading out! I have a friend that lives in LA and we will stay with her for a few days then off to DL after that...I will keep you posted!!! :)

That's so cool. I would love to go to DL one day.

I was bad last night... went to the hockey game and was running behind so didn't eat first... BAD idea. A few beers before the game and I wound up eating hardees, and pizza when I got home... TOM and all the stress with work and home has been getting to me lately.

So, I feel like crap today. I am drinking my water and am going to go to the gym at lunch. Somehow, strange as it may seem, a good workout seems to help a hangover... maybe you sweat out some of what is making you feel bad?

It's one night, don't worry. Start over tomorrow.;)

Good morning.I'm off for a 2 day business trip to Las Vegas, flight leaves in 2 hours. I do not want to go because I finally am back in the groove on my eating and I'm going to the worst place in the world. And did I ever mention that I'm the CFO at a FOOD manufacturing company? So what are we doing in Las Vegas? Eating of course. Since it's busines related, I can't carry my Tinkerbell food journal around either so let's hope I can muster a little self restraint.

I'll be back in time for weigh-in on Friday.

Have a safe trip.

You could totally lose 7 lb by August girlfriend.

Hi all. Just checking in for today. Me and DD2 went to an aquarium today with a mom's group I belong to. We had a lot of fun. There's another girl that has a DS who just turned 1 in January and guess what ---- She's a disney nut just like me so we get a long perfect.

UM - I hope you don't think it's like 5 lb I lost because it's not but it's been better than what I have been doing plus it was Easter this weekend so I was proud. Talk to everyone tomorrow morning, gotta go read my TR

I am sooo excited!!!! I called Disney today to add a day on to our trip...we are now going Sept 20th-29th. After adding it and she gave me the price, I asked about any discounts for AAA o having the Disney Visa. She said in order to get the AAA discount, she would figure it out with room only and then the 8 day hoppers separate. Well, by doing that, we saved almost $500!!! :woohoo: That is 9 nights at POR and the 8 day hoppers for $1700!!!! I am thrilled and it made DH happy as well!! WOOHOO~!!! :yay: This trip is getting better and better! I hope we can get free dining as well and that will make it perfect!!! :hippie:

I know I have been MIA as of late and I apologize for that. It looks like i will be starting a new job around the April/May timeframe. As long as the government releases the requisitions or the contractors as scheduled ans this company wins the bid as expected then all is well. It is a HUGE jump in salary for me and I will be managing my own program. I see a DVC in my near future. :goodvibes

Good morning all! The kids are off to school and I'm eating breakfast: 1 microwaved can of Campbells savory chicken and long grain rice soup. Pretty good, 180 calories.

My goals for the day are exercising and telemarketing.
I haven't done the telemarketing in a long time, so I'm trying to psyche myself up for it. Cuz' I know just how much everyone LOVES telemarketers. ;)
I only target local businesses though, so feel free to keep answering your phones!
Hope everyone has a good day, don't forget- summers coming and shorts weather will be here before you know it! This weekend we're supposed to get up to 80 degrees here! The pressure is on.
:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

:worship: to you for being able to do telemarketing. People are so mean to telemarketers. I would be horrible in that job because I know I would get all snarky right back at them and would never sell a thing.

80 degrees...I have forgotten what that feels like. It was 65 here yesterday but is back in the 50's today. The weekend is going to be cold again. So these warm days are just a cruel tease.

well, i worked out last night for the first time in like a month. I'M SO SORE!!! and i'm doing another class tomorrow night called "no mercy." :scared1: i'll let you guys know how it goes.

see my ticker down there? 1 MONTH TO GO!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

No Mercy...:scared: You will have to give us the details on that one.

1 month to go. How exciting!! I can't wait to start making ADR's for our trip and really getting down to the detailed planning.

Doing well so far this week...Went to curves mon, going again after work tonight and yesterday i did a little walking jogging in place while watching Entourage ..lol hey, its better than sitting right ;)

:yay: I hope your DL plans work out. I have never been and for some reason DH is not interested in going at all. Maybe if we get the DVC I can convince him to try it.

How do you like Curves? One just opened nearby and i was wondering how well it works.

I was bad last night... went to the hockey game and was running behind so didn't eat first... BAD idea. A few beers before the game and I wound up eating hardees, and pizza when I got home... TOM and all the stress with work and home has been getting to me lately.

Hey, you deserve a night of fun and bad food!! I am sure the scale will be kind to you. You are always so good about your calories and you exercise like a madwoman. Maybe the hike in calories will give you a good boost. With all of your IT knowledge, have you ever considered working for a government contractor? They would love you and the hours are much better.

I hope the workout helped your hangover :lmao: For some reason, that just strikes me as funny. IF I am hungover, I am lucky to leave the house much less go to the gym. I DO NOT hold my alcohol well at all. My DH has lots of stories to back that statement up too...:scared:

UGGGHHH! Good luck on the trip. I have not been to Las Vegas but have heard about the insane buffets. Be strong!!!

The Jillian Michael Biggest Winner DVDs are AWESOME! Probably the most effective at home DVDs I have ever done or own. Its a 5 disc set and you do it in a circuit. I do the workout set every other week and I have noticed HUGE results..i posted my measurements a couple of posts ago you can tell there is a big difference not only with the scale but with my measurements. Plus each workout is only 25 to 30 minutes tops so its perfect for those of us that dont have an hour to workout. You can do them Mon - Fri and have off workout days on the weekend Personally I feel I get alot more accompolished in these 25 minutes than I do with some of the other 45 min to hour dvds I have. I must warn everyone this is not for beginners. I was out of shape when I first started and could not finish even the 25 min in the beginning..now I can finish the workouts but I am still huffing and pufffing. I can not recommend them enough

http://www.amazon.com/Biggest-Winne...ef=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1206545334&sr=1-1

I did mine for the first time over Easter weekend and I thought I was going to drop dead!! They really are great. I love using them the days I can't make it to the gym.

In other news I'm still feeling crappy. I worked a full day yesterday and only did a half day today. Hopefully I'll be back in gear tomorrow. I'm not worrying about food or exercise this week. You poor woman! You are having a really tough go. Take it easy on yourself until you are feeling good again. You don't want to push too hard only to make yourself sick again. I hope you feel better soon.

Have a good day Peeps!!:grouphug:

more exciting stuff!!!!! :yay:

all right, peeps, you know how i always say that my theory is you weigh more when you're sore from working out because there's acid buildup in your muscles? well, now i KNOW i'm right! i haven't worked out in a month and i've been staying around 131-132 pounds consistently. well, i worked out on tuesday and i'm really sore and i go to weigh myself this morning and i weigh 134 pounds. not that i'm complaining.....just thought i'd share that there is something to my theory!

i posted a pic of my disney countdown calendar on my pre-TR if you wanna check it out! (link's in my siggie - it's on the last page.)

OK everyone..... my plan, so far, has failed. :sad2: Ya know.... I have come to the conclusion that trying to eat right around Holiday time is next to impossible. HOWEVER.... all the junk is gone- what wasn't eaten (Many, many sugar cookies) was sent to work with DH or thrown out.

I begin (again) today.

It's gonna be tough, carb withdrawl is a KILLER!!! Will ya be there for me??
PLEASE???? I'm skeered I'll not get through the day unless I can come here and post EVERY time I wanna eat something good.... I MEAN BAD for me! :scared:

Screamin' deal indeed! Looks like we'll just miss each other in WDW. My DH and I are going to be there the 6-13th. Do you have a weight loss goal for your trip?

If I take a mindless-zombie-bite I record a point! So I don't want to waste my points so it makes me think before I eat.
Devil cookies are NOT worth it!

Have Fun!!!!

See mama?? That ol' devil even inserts his way into our food!! Bad influence that dude is! If you're gonna take a mindless-zombie-bite... make it angel food ... much better for ya!

Karebear- Are you doing Southbeach? I can tell you the carb withdrawl is FOUR days. After that you wont crave them. You come here anytime you want and vent! We are here for ya!!!! Eating veggies helped me with the withdrawls. Not the same kind of carb, but it totally helps. Plus I felt FULL all day from the chicken or egg-beaters etc.

We all have had many do-overs, dont you worry!
DONT GIVE UP!!! You deserve this!!!

Gayle- IMpressive money saving! POR is so beautiful. I just loved it. Other than our room being too small for all of us.

Everyone- Gah! Yesterday was hard. I made it fine, but 24 points is hard to dole out for the day. Mind you, I didn't have ANY diet friendly food yesterday in the house (went shopping last night). Now I have the ingredients for pooh-muffins and tons of stir fry veggies and yogurts etc.

I felt deprived and "on a diet" yesterday without the proper food on hand. I'm not digging into my flex points if I can help it.

Hopefully, today, day 6 will be easier.

On a different note:
It's snowing pretty hard right now :sad2: and there's a gaggle of ELK nearby!!!!

:
Thanks! i hope they work out too!!! :)
I love Curves..it def. helps in reshaping my body..when i go 3 or more times a week i def. can tell..i should do that more often! :) hahaha. and my club is so nice, the owner is wonderful and everyone there is super supportive and fun!

all right, peeps, you know how i always say that my theory is you weigh more when you're sore from working out because there's acid buildup in your muscles? well, now i KNOW i'm right! i haven't worked out in a month and i've been staying around 131-132 pounds consistently. well, i worked out on tuesday and i'm really sore and i go to weigh myself this morning and i weigh 134 pounds. not that i'm complaining.....just thought i'd share that there is something to my theory!

SERIOUSLY..i totally believe your theory! i was up like 2 lbs today after working out kind of hard this week..i almost swore at the scale..but then i realized why it might be like that and calmed down..i hope it is not like that tommorow!

On a different note:[/B] It's snowing pretty hard right now :sad2: and there's a gaggle of ELK nearby!!!!
SNOW!???????????????? NO!! not the s word! ;)

Hi all!

I know I've been away (again) for quite a while, but I've had so much on my plate these days, that I haven't had much time to post. I'm still struggling to get my health back on track (for those of you who are just tuning in to my health drama... I was hospitalized back in Dec for a DVT/PE and shortly after that, discovered that I have Lupus) .

Things are going better for me, though. I'm finally able to exercise again :thumbsup2 (I hadn't been able to exercise since Dec because of the clot in my leg). So, this week, I started doing Turbo Jam. *I actually BOUGHT the turbo jam dvd's TWO YEARS AGO... but never got it together enough to do it until this week... :sad2: *

So far so good. I'm doing better with my eating, and slowly working in more physical activities. Some days are hard for me because of joint pain and fatigue, but I try my best to do all that my body will let me do. :cheer2:

Anyway, I plan to be around the boards more, and participating and such. In fact, Aaron, I would like to participate in the "Cinco de Mayo" challenge it seems you guys are doing. My goal is 7lbs. :thumbsup2

So gang, I hope everyone is having a great day. :flower3:

A special hello to all the "newbies" (who are probably not so new anymore) who joined during my hiatus.

P.S. - check out my new ticker... Disney in June! Woo hoo!! :dance3:

Here's a heavenly recipe for you WW girls. It's an alternative to the pooh-muffins. Awesome!

Blueberry/Peach One Point Muffins

2 cups 100% Bran or All Bran
l/2 cup oat bran
l/2 cup whole what flour
l/4 cup sugar - I substitute splenda for baking- it's good
l cup fat free buttermilk (OR) l cup ff yogurt
2 egg whites
l/2 cup applesauce
3/4 cup blueberries
2/3 cup peaches, diced (you can use canned packed in its own juice - but drain well)
2 tsp. baking powder
l/2 tsp. baking soda
pinch salt
l tsp vanilla

Mix bran, oat bran, buttermilk, applesauce, egg whites, vanilla and sugar. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes.

Mix flour, salt, powder, and baking soda. Stir into wet mixture.

Add fruit and mix well. Line muffin tins with paper cups or spray tins with non-fat spray.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400.

Muffins are done when they spring back when touched. DO NO OVER BAKE as they will dry out.

Makes 12 muffins - 110 calories - 5.4 fiber - .6 fat - l point

Hey, you deserve a night of fun and bad food!! I am sure the scale will be kind to you. You are always so good about your calories and you exercise like a madwoman. Maybe the hike in calories will give you a good boost. With all of your IT knowledge, have you ever considered working for a government contractor? They would love you and the hours are much better.

Have a good day Peeps!!:grouphug:

Eh, even if I gain this week, next week is a new week. :)

I haven't been exercising nearly enough lately... I am down on my exercise challenge for the month, only have 900 minutes and I signed up for 1500.

I will admit, the first 15-20 min w/ a hangover suck complete you-know-what. But after 30 or so, you do really feel better.

So far I have done commerical print, biotech, medical claims processing, logistics and shipping, and now banking. I haven't tried govt contracts yet... there is still time!

I am actually trying to get out of coding and into a more management or architect role. I see the trend for my job all going overseas in the next 3-5 years and I don't want to be caught out in the cold.

It is going to be close to 80 here today!

Sorry on the points... the first day is SO hard. I find it evens out about the 3rd or 4th.

I have scratched the pooh-muffin idea and just eat the cereal for breakfast every morning now. It doesn't taste so great, but oh well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

That's great. It's always nice when you can save money when you go on vacation.

:goodvibes Have a good day Peeps!!:grouphug:

So glad to "see" you back on the boards. Cool beans on the DVC. When I go back to work full time (I'm SAHM right now until the kids get older) I am so doing that, just have to convince DH it's the right thing to do.;)

:scared:

Good for you for throwing it out. I always say that's the hard part. I threw up a 1/2 cheesecake left over from Easter, boy was that hard. But I did it and felt good after I did. Post as much as you want, I'm a SAHM so I'm usually on a couple of times a day.

The first couple of days on a new program is always hard. Hang in there kiddo, you can do it. Now that you have the right food in the house it makes it a lot easier too. Snow, yuck - Elk cool.

Woo hoo!! :dance3:

Glad to see you're feeling better and back on board with us. :thumbsup2 Yeah on the new ticker. I'm so jealous, I'm not going until Nov 2009:sad1:

Ok my peeps. It's Thursday at 11:57 am and I'm starving. I don't really have anything in the house so I think I'm going to have some cereal. That's always filling to me. DD2 is putting like 50 thousand crayons in every pocket that is on her overalls, too cute.:cutie:
