Weight Watchers....again!

I've got my slider and my official notebook. If I get bored, which I will, I'll do the CORE. That's The Plan, anyway.

Thus far: WATER :cheer2: and 18 minutes on the (dusty) tread mill! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I got the latest edition of WW Magazine...it's really GOOD! And the website is great too.

I do WW too. Core scares me.

As you can see, I have been busy tormenting my children so I was not able to post here ;) I am about 50 pages behind since last I was here....so if somebody can give me the short version of what I have missed I would appreciate it! Happy Birthday to all those I am sure I missed, and :wizard: and :hug: to all who may be in need of them!

I am officially checking back in though. I am about 1/2 a pound from my pre-pregnancy weight and I figure that is as good of a place to start as any. I will do my official re-starting weigh in Friday and then from there on out I will be back to being a 'loser' again. Brandon will be 5 weeks this weds, so I think that is long enough for me wait to start trying to lose. I think the hardest part for me is forgetting I am no longer pregnant and cant just eat whatever I want to! I got so used to eating whatever sounded good, especially towards the end, that it is hard to stop that mindset. I havent decided if I am going to officially rejoin WW or do the calorie thing I was doing before. We'll see.

I did manage to resist buying up the sale easter candy at Walmart this morning, so that was a good step in the right direction I suppose. I saw the peeps sitting there and was reminded of MY peeps here, and WWPD...they certainly would not buy up all the leftover easter candy! So I left empty handed:goodvibes My next stop for the day is Costco so if anyone has any tips on peep friendly Costco finds share them with me!

So cute. He's 5 weeks old already. Your DD is so cute too. I love that skirt she's wearing.

I'm making my ADRs tomorrow, even though I still haven't decided for sure wether or not I'm going to cancel my trip. I think it is better to be safe then sorry, and since I am going to be trying to get ADRs for places like CRT and Le Cellier, I might as well make them ASAP, and just cancel them if I don't go, like you all suggested.

I say still go just cut back

Ok, sounds like the consensus is to have our next mini-challenge be set for Cinco de Mayo. So far I've got:

Me - Lose 4.1 lbs to get under 165
HockeyKat - Lose 5 lbs (I promise I won't lose you half way through this time!!!)
Pakey - Lose 7 lbs

Then I found my annual pass! Which happens to expire on May 18. And I thought...maybe I should take a long weekend and go to disney. By myself! Just to relax, hit a couple rides, soak up the disney-atmosphere, and meet up with a couple friends that live in orlando while getting one more use out of my annual pass. What do you all think?

P.S. My mom is home from work and giving me the silent treatment. Like I already don't feel bad enough for calling in "sick". I swear, the effect she has on me, you'd never know I'm 27 years old.

I would totally go by myself if I were you. I should have done that before I had kids. I couldn't leave them now.

Well, DD1 had her first heartbreak this weekend. It seems that 22yo boyfriend prospect got a phone call telling him to stay away from her- (not me- I promise) She said the caller threatened to report him if he didnt leave her alone. He told her he didnt want to even talk to her because he was afraid of going to jail.

It was hard to love her through her first heartache/breakup- (she has had 2 other boyfriends but both times she was the dumper and not the dump-ee)
It was especially hard since secretly inside I am happy. Is that mean?

I say :banana: . You weren't really happy about the whole thing in the first place. I know my mom probably bit her tongue when I started dating some of my BF and then when they dumped me she was probably dancing inside. So no I don't think you're mean.

I've been on WW for one whole day so far. I was pretty "hungry" last night! For dinner (at around 6pm) I had a great bbq'd chicken breast and some veggies. By bedtime, I was famished. Now, I realize I was experiencing "head hunger". My body was not starving. But my stomach was growling and I caved an had a piece of toast with spray butter (I call it "S'Not Butter") and felt much better.

THAT is my one behavior I have no idea how to break. I've substituted. I've distracted.

I can save up points for my toast and just live with this behavior if it's not so wrong. :confused3

I haven't been shopping for food that would make better use of my points.

I want to ask any of you doing ww online, do you think it's worth it? There's a special of $5.00 per week. The recipes you don't have to be a member for. Do I NEED to record my food online when I can write it down for free? I feel like you guys are such great support that I'm not needing to pay. I'm 50-50 on it.

IF more of you were involved in their online chat forums I'd do it.

Um - I go to WW meetings every Tues but I also use the online services (I paid for a month so I get the online stuff for free) anyway I like the points tracker there and to look up reciepe's and stuff but I do not go on their forums and chat, I have my peeps what do I need them for. I also go to WW instead of doing it from home because I don't own a scale so yes I go to WW for them to weigh me. But the girls in my meeting are very nice. And about the toast thing, if you need that every night than make sure you save those points for it, my mom used to have two slices with peanut butter and a hot cocoa every night she just saved her points for that every night.

That's right....the Body Boarders....have risen from the ashes and are circling like the great Phoenix!!!:cool1: :worship: :rotfl: The Body Boarders have posted their first week victory with people who this week carried some of us who have not done the hottest....and that is what this is all about...

Both teams have been helping each other...being strong when others become weak...never giving up and never quitting on ourselves...we can postpone our success but we shall never quit that race...

We have less than a week for the final weigh in and there is Magnets on the line....so lets all drink lots of water...garbage disposal any leftover girl scouts...(er I mean cookies) and get off the sad sap train of self depression and sympathy and get moving on the sweet ride of better bodies!!!

So now I'll try to save up for the toast. I got the best Orrowheat multi grain bread, but it's 2 points. ACK! The lite bread that's 45 calories is just so un- fullfilling. Does anyone agree with that? I'd rather have one great piece than 2 airy, light, stupid pieces of "bread".

I would seriously never be able to do low carb for more than about 10minutes. I love bread :love: Like in an unhealthy, unnatural kind of way :rotfl: That is why I love WW so much, nothing is forbibdden...even real bread!

You have to post pics of Norah's new do too! I bet she will be so adorable!!

The Sara Lee Delightful bread is a few more calories than the Oroweat light, but MUCH better tasting. They're both okay with me for toast, but for sandwiches, I much prefer the Delightful.
As for eating at night, I do it too, and the only advantage I can think of to not doing it is, it limits how much time I can stuff my face. I think it's probably all the same, but I did read that sumo trainers feed their clients huge dinners right before bedtime. :p (this smilie always looks like a fat guy in a thong to me, so pretty close to a sumo).

I'm off to Reno tomorrow, so I won't be able to weigh in until Saturday. I'll keep 5/5 in my head to help me have some control. Our hotel has a gym, so I'm packing some workout duds as well as my swimsuit for the indoor pool. Everybody wish me luck with the one-armed bandits. :shamrock:

I want to lose 7 more pounds before I go. I was a little discourage because I did not lose weight last week but today I measured myself and I noticed a HUGE difference.

Here were my original measurements I took back in January
Bust 37.50
Waist 30
Hips 40.50
Arms 11
IL 23.75
IR 23.50

Here were my measurements the beginning of March
Bust 36.75
Waist 29
Hips 39.75
Inner Left almost 22.75
Inner Right a little under 23.00
Arms 10.5

and here are my measurements as of this morning
Bust 36
Waist 28.75
Hips 39
IL 22.50
IR 22.50
Arms 10.25

My goal for my disney trip is a 38 hips! because it will get me back in some of my skinny jeans and my arms to be thinner.

If anyone ever gets frustrated with their progress as far as the scale goes take your measurements sometimes the scale does not give the full picture of all your progress
 
WOW! Noone has posted yet this morning??? Is Melinda still around?? I haven't seen any posts from her lately. :confused3

I am working 11-6 today, so I am packing lunch and snacks. I am making a tuna wrap for lunch with some leftover veggies on the side and an apple. Snacks are a string cheese and 100 cal popcorn pack. I really need to limit my WW points today as I was terrible yesterday with chinese food for dinner! Today I am being very careful and drinking lots of water. That is the plan! :thumbsup2

Good morning all! The kids are off to school and I'm eating breakfast: 1 microwaved can of Campbells savory chicken and long grain rice soup. Pretty good, 180 calories.

My goals for the day are exercising and telemarketing.
I haven't done the telemarketing in a long time, so I'm trying to psyche myself up for it. Cuz' I know just how much everyone LOVES telemarketers. ;)
I only target local businesses though, so feel free to keep answering your phones!
Hope everyone has a good day, don't forget- summers coming and shorts weather will be here before you know it! This weekend we're supposed to get up to 80 degrees here!The pressure is on.

i read this as you wanted to get to 200! :laughing: then i reread it and realized what you were saying. you'll be fine - just keep the numbers in mind and you won't let yourself go there.

I just got back from the gym. I am so sore from the Jillian Michael Dvd yesterday that I couldn't even lift my legs to kick:scared1: after only 20 minutes in the kickboxing class I told myself I better leave before I really hurt myself.

Dawn! Wow 1 month! so exciting :banana:

Celery: eating breakfast on the road is supper hard...on the biggest loser last night they had these quaker oatmeal packets..you just ate water and heat it for 45 seconds and its ready..add some fruit from the breakfast buffet and its a healthy breakfast

I'm sore this morning because I slept funny. My whole back and neck is stiff.
I need a masseuse named Haanz to massage my poor achy back and shoulders and neck etc. ;)

I have a friend that lives in LA and we will stay with her for a few days then off to DL after that...I will keep you posted!!! :)

Doing well so far this week...Went to curves mon, going again after work tonight and yesterday i did a little walking jogging in place while watching Entourage ..lol hey, its better than sitting right ;)

OH for anyone that watched American Idol last night..2 words...DAVID COOK.

I was bad last night... went to the hockey game and was running behind so didn't eat first... BAD idea. A few beers before the game and I wound up eating hardees, and pizza when I got home... TOM and all the stress with work and home has been getting to me lately.

So, I feel like crap today. I am drinking my water and am going to go to the gym at lunch. Somehow, strange as it may seem, a good workout seems to help a hangover... maybe you sweat out some of what is making you feel bad?

LMO, I would like to hear about the Jillian Michaels DVD. I'm getting tired of the ones we have here at our work gym so am interested in getting new ones. I've been doing a 45 minute hip hop workout which is hysterical. Thinking accountants have rhythm is about the same as thinking I'll be sleeping in Cinderella's castle in May.

I'm off for a 2 day business trip to Las Vegas, flight leaves in 2 hours. I do not want to go because I finally am back in the groove on my eating and I'm going to the worst place in the world. And did I ever mention that I'm the CFO at a FOOD manufacturing company? So what are we doing in Las Vegas? Eating of course. Since it's busines related, I can't carry my Tinkerbell food journal around either so let's hope I can muster a little self restraint.

I'll be back in time for weigh-in on Friday. :mad:

LMO, I would like to hear about the Jillian Michaels DVD. I'm getting tired of the ones we have here at our work gym so am interested in getting new ones. I've been doing a 45 minute hip hop workout which is hysterical. Thinking accountants have rhythm is about the same as thinking I'll be sleeping in Cinderella's castle in May.

The Jillian Michael Biggest Winner DVDs are AWESOME! Probably the most effective at home DVDs I have ever done or own. Its a 5 disc set and you do it in a circuit. I do the workout set every other week and I have noticed HUGE results..i posted my measurements a couple of posts ago you can tell there is a big difference not only with the scale but with my measurements. Plus each workout is only 25 to 30 minutes tops so its perfect for those of us that dont have an hour to workout. You can do them Mon - Fri and have off workout days on the weekend Personally I feel I get alot more accompolished in these 25 minutes than I do with some of the other 45 min to hour dvds I have. I must warn everyone this is not for beginners. I was out of shape when I first started and could not finish even the 25 min in the beginning..now I can finish the workouts but I am still huffing and pufffing. I can not recommend them enough

WOW!!! Great job! That is really something that I should start doing, because I just know the closer I get to my goal weight, the slower the weight will be coming off. (Heck I'm already seeing that now.)

I got the Biggest Loser DVD a few weeks ago, and if her 5-disk set is anything like her segment on the BL DVD, then I can totally understand! It is only a 10 minute workout (which I normally do twice in a row), and I felt like I was going to die afterwards! But you can definitly tell that you are getting a great cardio workout from it.

Hurray to those with trips approaching, or those in the works! (While I sit here secretly green with envy that I have no trips planned...)

I'll post the updated Cinco de Mayo challenge roster sometime this afternoon. We're up to 14 people so far!
