Can you give me a hint of what this costs?

It depends on the place you go to..they like to sell packages that are about 10 sessions for $1000. maintenance after that is about $50 dollars a session.

i have been doing it for years...it is not a cure all.. i find i ge he best results when I exerercise with weight and drinkwater water water..those treatments do make a difference but not unless you do all of the above and have a good diet. it just adds to your results..you cant eat bad food and not exercise and go into the treatments and get results

good day all! :)

so i went out and bought those crazy kettle bells..or rather one of them anyway..WOW! It comes with a dvd and i bought another work out dvd for it as well..i can tell its going to be a a very heavy work out..i feel like its something i def. need to build up strength and stamina to do..so that is good. if you are curious here is a link to what i bought, i got it at target:

http://www.amazon.com/Kettlebells-C...=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1205162154&sr=8-1

i got the 10 lb bell...totally enough for me for now!!

have a great day everyone :)

Good morning all!

I've been lurking and not checking in lately -- sorry! I was a samer weight wise on Friday (and the Friday before if I didn't check-in), but I'm seeing a big difference in the way my clothes are fitting. Thus, I figure I'm doing some good! I tend to go in cycles -- lose big lbs for two weeks, then nothing while my body catches up.

I'm starting a new position at work at the end of the month and will need more suits and jackets and such, so I went clothes shopping on Friday. BECAUSE none of my old suits fit!!! :woohoo: I started this journey 11 months ago at a size 26 (:scared1: ... think that's the first time I've put that out there) and I am now officially out of the womans sizes on top and almost out on the bottom. I'm wearing a 14/16 in jackets and an xl in sweaters. I'm in that grey middle ground on the bottom -- womens sizes are too big, but the misses don't have enough hip room. The 16 bottoms are still a bit tight, but I'm buying them when I see them on a really good sale because I think I'm about 3 -4 weeks from getting in them!!! Now these aren't great sizes to some, but I'm pretty psyched. My ultimate goal is around a size 8-10, so I have a ways to go, but this is momentous for me.

Some things that have been working for me:

1. Reverse sit-ups: to tone up my non-existent abs, I've been doing what I call "reverse sit-ups." I sit on the edge of my ottoman, lay back, then bring my legs up as far as I can (keep them straight), hold, then let them all the way down to the floor. I try to do 4-5 sets of 15 every other night. They are killer, but I've noticed a huge difference in my middle since I started them. Once you've got the hang of them, do a crunch and hold with your upper body at the same time. I find they are easier on my back than traditional situps and crunches and much more effective!

2. To help combat the cottage cheese thigh problem and loose skin, I've been using Nivea Reshaping Treatment and Nivea Skin Firming lotion. I didn't think they'd work, but had to give something a try. I can't believe how well they work for me...

Have a great day peeps!

Great job MJ!!!

I am going to try that reverse crunch thing.

I use the cocoa butter firming lotion, the one that they recommend for pregnant women.

Man, what a weekend... backed into my n'bors car yesterday as they parked it in my blind spot. Luckily not too much damage, just surface scraping.

Then hubby came home and we ran ethernet cable through the attic, from 8PM-2AM. I am tired and sore today.

On a good note, I got so busy yesterday that I didn't eat dinner. I did have 3 miller lites while working, but my total calories was about 850.

And this morning I weighed in at 177. I have been hovering at 180-182 lately so this is a very good thing... probably fleeting but it was nice to see that number if only for a day.

Hope everyone has a great day!

That looks hard! I can't even do those moves with a soup can for very long :scared:

Oh yeah...and Kat is with US this week! Hmmm...that is like already a 4-pound loss for the week!

The Boarders are gonna getcha...the boarders are gonna getcha...

Kat- sorry for your lovely weekend!

Way to go on your 177! (NO "8's"!!!)

I'm just attempting to adjust to the time change and not doing a very good job. It was hard to get the kids up and ready for school even though we went to bed early to help. I've drunk (drank?) 5 cans of diet soda so far! I can feel the nutra sweet killing brain cells as we speak.

I'm window shopping on e-bay on the boutique custom girls clothes and thinking, "I CAN MAKE THAT" when the bids are up over $100

If there are any of those outfits that Norah refuses to wear, just send them my way, she sounds taller than Malorie.

Am I spelling her name right?

on the bright side, i made $110 last night. my last table's check was $193. the guy put $20 down on the table for my tip and goes, "is that a good enough tip for you?" i just said, "i can't tell you that - it's not up to me." he goes, "that's 20 percent, right?" um......no. :sad2: i said, "no, sir. " he says, "what's 20 percent of 193?" i immediately said "38." he goes, "how did you come up with that so fast????" um.....19 times 2 is 38. :teacher: people AMAZE me. so he put another $20 on the table.

NIce...$110!! I am continuously amazed by people. It kills me when a cashier can not for the life of them figure out the correct change. It is sad! I agree, you should have told him $60..(JK)

Great job EVERYONE!

Last night we finally celebrated my birthday. I made ribs, cause I love em!

Had a few and I only had one piece of pie.

I don't like cake, I like birthday pie!

We are off to go and do and work off last nights celebration.

Have a great day!

I am glad you finally got your much anticipated birthday dinner. I hope you had a great belated birthday celebration.

Getting ready to go to the funeral home and giving Joshua a breathing treatment. He usually hates them, but he went and got the mask. He has sat still the entire time. He must have really been having a hard time. See everyone later.

I am thinking of you and Christie's family.

Just got back from shopping. I needed some clothes for WDW. I have shorts, but am afraid my cottage cheese legs may frighten the other tourists. Wait... maybe I'll wear them...I'll clear the lines and have no wait for any attraction :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: . Anyway I bought 4 pair of nice and comfy capris and they are a size smaller than I wore last year!:woohoo: :woohoo: I got a bunch of short sleeved shirts too. also down a size in those!:thumbsup2 Surely put me in a good mood. I'm looking forward to getting out of the women's department the clothes in regular sizes are so dang cute right now.

Good for you!!! It sounds like you got some nice outfits and at a smaller size to boot. You can't beat that! I loathe shopping and really would rather chew of one of my own appedages than try on clothes.

You are such an inspiration. You are down 10 sizes in just 11 months!! YOu deserve to be proud of your accomplishments. Thank you for the info on the cream. :thumbsup2 I'll give anything a try.

... I love walking outside and it's much easier to get myself motivated to walk when I'm doing it for the dog too! (and tiring her out so she'll sleep through the night is a good thing!!)

:)

I like doing it with my 2 and 3 year olds for the same reason.

Thanks!!!

Yeah the time change has messed with my head too. I had soo much trouble falling asleep last night even though it was after 2AM.

If nutrasweet really does kill brain cells, I should be a blithering idiot by now... oh wait... maybe there is some truth to that!!

Yeah for the no plus sizes. I can't wait til I'm at that point.

Taking the new exercise ball out of the box today and it came with a DVD. I will be physical more than usual today. I will.

I saw an exercise ball with DVD in Borders for $20 that I want. I just might go and get it. Maybe the Easter Bunny will leave it for me :lmao:

Wow. You'll have to let us know how you did the first workout.

Before your next hotel stay check this out. I am still tramatized...:scared:

I will say I never drink out of glasses unless they are plastic and then we throw them away when we leave for the day. That is absolutely gross.

Well peeps this has nothing to do with weight loss or exercise but my DS8 got his first pair of glasses today and I might add he looks quite handsome.

Wish me luck at WW tomorrow. I ate a lot of cheese yesterday but drinking lots and lots of water today and yesterday so hopefully I peeped it out. (Can I say that peeped) :confused3

Oh yeah, I'm trash talkin'...:rotfl2:
:rotfl:

Just checking in. I'm still being really good. I started upping the intensity on the bike and treadmill this week. We also went shopping this weekend, and I got a few new clothes for work and a few things for our trip in May. I am pretty happy with the sizes I am buying, but I'd like to get it down a bit more before we leave. I'm buying L & XL tops and mostly size 16 pants & shorts. I did just order some 14's from Old Navy, and they fit, but are too tight to wear yet. I should be wearing them soon though! I can't wait! :woohoo:

We made more progress with the clutter-busting this weekend at home! :thumbsup2

DH tells me to say hi to everyone. :wave2:

Anyway, I'm gonna rest a bit before bed. I'm still adjusting to the time change. Have a great night Peeps!
