Hey punkin Have you ever thought of doing medical transcription work? Its kinda like court reporting I would think. The docs dictate their notes and the transcriptionist types out what they say. Some people do this entirely from home and have contracts with medical groups and go in once a week or so and pick up the tapes and type away at home. There are also positions like that in the hospital too. I think there is some special classes that you can take to learn the medical lingo. Just a thought.

I am not to gud at this posting what I ate stuff. After all eating is a HOBBY for me. I work offshore so it is hard for me to not eat something that is sitting right there in front of me and go around all of it to eat a salad or a small porting of what is on the line (I like to sample a little bit of all of it).

Breakfast is easy for me to control: egg and fruit. pretty much the same everyday.
Lunch is not as easy, while at work, anyway: yesterday-medium bowl of gumbo.
Dinner is the worst: Baked fish and a few fried shrimp.

Can you tell it was seafood day out here?

Dizney Dawn, I have pm'd you with my information. I had sent it earlier but I made a typo error and sent it to diSneydawn instead. Whoever that is, he/she is probably scratching their head trying to figure out what that number means.

I'm totally humiliated by that error. It's almost as bad as walking around with toilet paper stuck to the shoe.

Oh the toilet paper on your shoe :lmao:

On my Disney 5 disc compilation is a song (disc 5 song 10) from the Disney Musical "Newsies" called Seize the Day. OH my heck, it's so great!

Although the song doesn't have anything to do with dieting, it talks about slaying the (your) giant and , well, Seizing The Day! It's very catchy and there's tons of versions on You Tube. The dance is awesome....I used to be able to do "Thriller" so maybe I can do this one? :sad2: . The first you Tube link is just the song, the second one is from the musical....it's cute! I want to buy it!

the all male voice harmony gives me the chills!!!!!

Oh I must go rent this movie. That song is great. We can totally have that dance as our peep dance right?

I need a drumroll worthy of our weeks losses!!!!

This week SO FAR: -36.45!!!!

Since January first....-310.58!!!!!!

:cool1:

Talk about an OMG this is why I must be a peep moment! I am an attorney and I represent a few municipalities ...ok how does this connect to Peephood? you ask...hang on you'll see.

Last night I was at a meeting of a town board. I always sit up at the table with the town board or whoever I am representing. The meetings are always opened with the pledge to the flag. Well most of the time I need to face forward to salute the flag, but in the town I was in last night the meeting room is rather small and the flag is actually behind the Board's table so the board and I have to turn our backs to the public to face the flag. Well my chair is right in front of the flag. I sit about a foot in front of the flag. Last night as we are reciting the pledge, it occured to me that for all these years the public has had to look at my :eeyore: to salute the flag!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: but it gets worse, all of these meetings are vidoetaped and put on local television. SO for a number of years my incredibly large :eeyore: has been on T.V. I was absolutely mortified thinking of this. Like what if people are sitting in their living rooms watching local government in action and making fun of my bootay?:scared: Talk about inspiration to stick with my peeps!

:lmao:

A little gift for some of you who may need a little uplifting! ENJOY!!!!!!

Celtic Woman, "You Lift Me Up". It's absolutely beautiful

I love Celtic Woman. I do love that song too.

:scared1: I am a little miffed with my 2 year old. He likes to watch DVD's and we try to keep them out of his reach, but he is one determined little boy. He wanted to watch Nemo and guess what---he not only scratched the widescreen dvd, but also the full screen one as well. Now we are watching Cars and he has scratched it to, but not as bad. Oh yeah---we had to toss Toy Story for the same reason. Evidently on one day he decided to see if they would go across the tile on the floor like his cars do. I love him, but it is costing me to replace these. I know what you are all thinking--put a hand to his butt and move the dvds. That has been done--but not until after we realized what he had done. He goes through phases of what shows he watches and we have ust moved back into the Nemo phase this morning and it doesn't work. RANT OVER Going to ebay to see if I can relace these cheap.

So sorry. I have a 2 year old too we have to hide the DVD because she tries to put them in the DVD player by herself.

Its not even 11 am and I am craving dinner for tonight already!!! I think the pms is kicking in.

Trying to be strong and tell myself its pms cravings and i am not really that hungry. we are going to see jersey boys and then eating at Bobby Flays restaurant Bar Americain..YUM!!! im keep telling myself to stay in control at dinner!!!! hopefully if i keep repeating it over and over i will by pass the bread and try to eat some what healthy tonight.

Oh I have had that feeling before. Dreaming about dinner WHILE eating breakfast. glad you had fun (I'm posting this after you went)

so guess what i got to do this morning? i got to go to longhorn at 8:30 for a meeting. FUN!!! we are having some new stuff come out next month so we had a meeting about it. so i was eating our new silver city strip (strip steak with grilled shrimp on top and a garlic sauce over it), colorado renegade (sirlion with a grilled portobello mushroom, asparagus and sundried tomatoes on top), bananas foster cheesecake, mango heat margarita, raspberry lynchberg lemonade and blue moon beer at 9:00 this morning. :thumbsup2 talk about strange. i only had a few bites/sips of each so hopefully i didn't do too much damage.

my apologies for mentioning all of the above to you guys. i know....bad peep. :upsidedow

on the bright side, i made $110 last night. my last table's check was $193. the guy put $20 down on the table for my tip and goes, "is that a good enough tip for you?" i just said, "i can't tell you that - it's not up to me." he goes, "that's 20 percent, right?" um......no. :sad2: i said, "no, sir. " he says, "what's 20 percent of 193?" i immediately said "38." he goes, "how did you come up with that so fast????" um.....19 times 2 is 38. :teacher: people AMAZE me. so he put another $20 on the table.

OOOO - Now I want to go to Longhorn's. We have one within 10 minutes of our house. I would never ask a waitress or waiter if that was enough for tip. On my cell phone I have a tip calculator and use that and I always round up.

Oh yeah, we did it. Nice going peeps :woohoo: Body Boaders good for you too.

Well. I just survived a house full of loud 8 year old boys for our son Riley's birthday party. I wont tell you about the TWO (small) cupcakes I ate and the TWO pieces of pizza I also ate. I will tell you how totally sick my tummy is right now. :scared:

I want pizza now and cupcakes. But the house full of 8 yer old boys no way jose - Beaches and Cream yummmmmm.

The "Body" part came from "In Search of My Body..Not the one I ate" our thread title.
The "Boarders" part came because we are on the DisBoards.

I hope the cupcake gives you explosive diarrhea...
okay...
no I don't cause then you will win again next week. :rotfl2:

:lmao:

Utah--I will be heading out sometime this week looking for things to sew for Ms. Rebekah. I am looking for fabric--just curious about how much do you use on average on the ones you make. Just trying to get an idea on material--saw some on ebay but had no clue if it would be enough. I know that you would use more than I would---just trying to get an idea. Thanks.

Pigget - I'm starting to sew for my DD2 too. I have been on that board that UM told you about and WOW. Those guys can sew. I just learned how to thread my machine :lmao:

I did medical transcription in a hospital which I loved and from home which I hated. Because if you have a question there is no one to ask. I worked for an orthropedic from home and hated it. Although I had a very needy baby at the time. Learning the medical lingo is hard for the first couple of months then you get the hang of it. I had no classes.

wow those are some amazing stats for this week...Great job both teams! :) I am happy being a cheerleader, i swear if i were to join another challenge type thing i would gain 5 lbs! :)

Great job EVERYONE!

Last night we finally celebrated my birthday. I made ribs, cause I love em!

Had a few and I only had one piece of pie.

I don't like cake, I like birthday pie!

We are off to go and do and work off last nights celebration.

Have a great day!

Wow, well done PEEPS and BOARDERS!!! Excellent numbers for both teams! :cool1:

I have been very peeplike today, I turned down the chance of a Homemade Sunday Roast with all the trimmings AND homemade Yorkshire Puddings (my fave!) and had a ham salad instead! I was not very good yesterday with my choices so I made up for it today!

We have had a 'severe' weather warning here for tomorrow - apparantly the winds are going to be 'as close to hurricane weather as we get in the uk' without actually being a hurricane?! All I know is the wind is going to be bad, so I have had to store any movable items from my garden, so now all my plants are in the shed! :rotfl: I fear for my garden fence, it didn't survive the last winds very well!

Mony - Glad you finally got to celebrate your birthday

Pixie - Sorry, your story made me laugh out loud!

Have a great day everyone!

Congrats on some amazing numbers for week one, Peeps! But look out...here come the Boarders to even the score!

WAY TO GO PEEPS

Congrats to all the participants.

Thanks DiZneydawn for all your hard work and the cool stats. I like stats.

Well I have been evil(e) since Friday night. A full 24 hours of non Peeplike eating. Sigh. That is my current struggle. I have no middle ground- either hardcore dieting or binge city.

Ok Team Peep. I am ready to spring Forward (change your clocks yo) and be back on track for the team!

I am SO the same way. I wanted to have a binge night on Friday night but Mr Kat of all people actually talked me down... really, he didn't tell me not to but he stuck to the plan so I felt too guilty to pig out.

I didn't get around to posting yesterday, but I was down .2. I'm really having trouble getting on the wagon. I'm letting stress derail me from my goal of eating healthy. On the good side, I did make it to the gym 3 times last week despite a hectic schedule, and got in today too. Now if I could just get back to eating like I should ...

 Sorry about the stress.

UM, the cupcakes and pizza definitely sound good. I am listening to the song you posted. I love when Josh Groban does it, too. He has such an incredible voice.

Tonight we are going to wire our upstairs for RJ-45 (the cable that goes from your cable modem to your computer) so that Mr Kat doesn't have to use wireless for playing games, and add an extra cable jack in our bedroom and one of the spare bedrooms, while we are at it. This will require me to go into the attic and drill holes in the ceiling. The space is too small for him to fit into. Wish me luck!

Wow!!! sounds like a crazy bday party!!! 75 boys that alot!!!! I LOVE CUPCAKES!!!!!

Jersey Boys is a broadway show about the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I didnt think I would know any of the songs but I knew everyone from years of my mom blasting 50s 60s and 70s music on the stereo in my house my whole life.

Thanks! Sounds like a great musical. I sort of like the oldies.

I didn't really have 75 boys, but it seamed like it. I lost count though. Little boys everywhere! Luckily, Misty (Spongie) stayed and helped a lot!

Peepness back in full motion:

B: Slimfast shake (ack!)

L: a piece of toast so far, my tummy still hurts from cupcakes yesterday (one was lemon and one was chocolate...should have resisted, but didn't)

D: planned for dinner is chicken that is currently merinateing in "Hawaiian Merinade" with a healthy wild rice and some yet to be determined vegetable.

Snacks of fruit and veggies are available just in case. As is that Healthy Pop kettle Korn and chocolate rice cakes...on board JUST IN CASE I crave sweets.

Yay for Mr. Kat! Thanks for the validation. I need to work on my inner voice that says "you already blew it today so go ahead and have another brownie."

PS I am not a sports fan at ALL but for some reason I really like to watch hockey. :thumbsup2

Hi Peeps! Stay strong in the struggle. Ever since 3DisneyKids posted that the Boarders were out to even the score I have "The Rhythem is going To Get Ya" running through my head with alternate lyrics

The Boarders are out to getcha
The Boarders are out to getcha
EAT RIGHT!
TONIGHT!

HAHA! I like the rhythm there.

I have trouble with that inner voice too.

i actually looked into this but the ones in this area want to put me through a training program. i just don't have the patience to sit through a class! i actually had to take a test on medical and legal terminology to become a certified court reporter, so i don't know what the training program is for. i also have a medical dictionary because when you take a doctor's deposition you have to look LOTS of words up!

by the way, where are all the peeps? we're missing some people! melinda? sandy? minnie moo? shannon? who else???

Getting ready to go to the funeral home and giving Joshua a breathing treatment. He usually hates them, but he went and got the mask. He has sat still the entire time. He must have really been having a hard time. See everyone later.

 hope it goes as well as it can. i'll be thinking of you.

I think I may have to cancel my September trip. :sad1: I had an extra baby-sitting job, but that fell through. That job would of paid for my trip, but now that I don't have it, I am highly considering canceling my trip. I'm going to make a decision about it between now and when I get to my 180 day mark in a few weeks. No point in making ADRs if I'm not going.

This really bums me out, I've been planning this trip for months, and now that the park hours had been released it seemed so real, and now it might be over before it even starts. :guilty:

I'm a big sports fan. I like hockey, but only like to watch it live. It's just too fast for the cameras to really keep up with for TV.

Just got back from shopping. I needed some clothes for WDW. I have shorts, but am afraid my cottage cheese legs may frighten the other tourists. Wait... maybe I'll wear them...I'll clear the lines and have no wait for any attraction :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: . Anyway I bought 4 pair of nice and comfy capris and they are a size smaller than I wore last year!:woohoo: :woohoo: I got a bunch of short sleeved shirts too. also down a size in those!:thumbsup2 Surely put me in a good mood. I'm looking forward to getting out of the women's department the clothes in regular sizes are so dang cute right now.
