In your hair? Make up case? poncho?

I'm sure it's somewhere.

Don't wear yourself down, like some people around here, it can get you sick with pneumonia.

Get your rest!

I came home last night, sat on the couch with a book, and did absolutely nothing. It was wonderful. And the best part is, Mr Kat (who seems to have been replaced by aliens this week? But this is a good thing... ) didn't give me any crap whatsoever about not cleaning. Ahh.

And, I slept almost 11 hours last night and feel great today. The whites of my eyes are clear for the first time since 2 days into my WDW trip.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MJ!!! Hope it is a great one!!

I will update the report w/ pictures tomorrow, hopefully. Today is laundry, gym, light grocery shopping, and a friend is coming by for dinner. I plan on making low-fat shepherd's pie.

Hope everyone has a great day! It is 65 and sunny and beautiful here!

I started a small project of cleaning and organizing the girls room.

I think it's time to put the crib in there and out of my room.

I have some laundry going and I think the boys will be emptying the diswasher soon.

I have to tackle some homework tonight as well.

I've never eaten at PF Changs, we got a local one about fifteen minutes away from my house, that opened a couple months ago, but I still haven't made it there yet.

sooooooo yummy!!!!
So I said a few days ago I wanted to try PF Changs, well last night at work I saw one of my old coworkers, and she said another lady who we used to work with is now working at the one that just opened. I think DF, (who also used to work with the lady,) and I will "have" to go there now, maybe for my birthday dinner.

welp, i just finished my first shift by myself at longhorn. i only had 2 tables (they do that for newbies) and i made $43. that's not too shabby for lunch. normally i'd have 4 tables so double that.

AND i wore a pedometer and walked 10 MILES!!!!!

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY TODAY! TO ONE OF OUR MOST LONG-STANDING AND SUCCESSFUL PEEPS....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MJ!

Have a wonderful day today, Manda Jane!

ditto from me!!!!! hope you're having a wonderful day! :goodvibes

That's so sweet! How is your dad BTW? What's the girlfriend situation? Glad the Granny and Grandpa are OK! Scary!

he's doing okay. he's been dating his girlfriend since sometime in the summer. the only problem is her kids don't like him. i think i posted something on here about it. sometimes it bothers him and sometimes it doesn't. i think he's getting to where he's getting pretty tired of the way they treat him, though. i try to just be an ear for him to vent to and not really get involved if i can help it. although it DOES make me really mad that they treat my dad the way they do. if they were to end up getting married and they treated him that way in front of me or my brother or sister, there would be major drama.

Dawn, way to go at the new job. Both in the money earned and the miles walked. :dance3:

Doing power reading and catch up today...had a week or so of posts to read through!

Morning peeps. I just wanted to tell you that I got my test results yesterday and it's negative for cancer.
I knwo this was from a week ago, but it certainly deserves a WOOHOOTY!!!! That ios fantastic news.:goodvibes

Guess what????
We're taking a mega spontaneous drive 9 hours to the south west of us!!!!
I know you are already there now, but have a great time! I wish I was close enough to just take a spontaneous trip to either of the parks!

A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PEEPS (and my IRL friend too)...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SANDY!!!

18.gif

HOPE IT'S WONDERFUL & FULL OF NICE SURPRISES!
I cant believe I missed your birthday Sandy!! I hope you had a great day!!!!!

The rest of you who gave me calorie counting advice (Dawn, HockeyKat come to mind), thanks! I found a free calorie tracker online (it is part of the "About" network) that I like, and I've already started to get used to that. My struggle is going to be eating enough calories, while making sure that I am also eating healthy foods. This should be interesting!
When I was doing calories I used fitday.com. They have an option to let you track fiber, fat...just about anything you wanted to. I made sure to track my fiber and fat with calories to be sure I was getting enough. Sometimes I did protein too.

LMO - good luck with wedding dress shopping! when i was shopping for mine i had it narrowed down to two. i told my parents i would pay for the dress myself if they'd help with everything else. so i was trying to be sensible about the cost. i was gonna go with the cheaper one. i loved it, but of course not as much as the more expensive one i couldn't afford. well, i was trying on the one i was gonna by for my parents and my best friend and my best friend goes, "dawn, try on the other one." (they were both at the same store) i'm like, "no.....i don't want to. i know i'm not gonna get it and it'll just depress me." she kept insisting and so finally i did. when my dad saw me in the other one, he came up to me and in a very low voice asked me how much it was. i told him and he said, "get this one. i'll help you with the difference." :goodvibes it was such a sweet moment. brings a tiny tear to my eye!!!
That is so sweet  I am all teary thinking back about shopping for my dress now....almost 7 yrs ago! Hope you had fun shopping LMO! I so wish we would renew our vows sometime just so I could get another dress :rotfl:

BUT darn it I want to dress pretty... I dont like wearing a man's XL shirt because its the only choice!! They are ordering "new pretty girlie shirts" and I want one, but the company says that XL = size 12... WHAT??!! no way - but that is the reality in the running world.
That stinks. A 12? Seriously? Do runners not have chests either?? I mean, even if I was at my goal weight I would not fit into a 'fitted' shirt in that size comfortably.

I am so sorry I was ever sent a link to that other board. I knew I should of just kept my mouth shut, but do I listen to my own common sense? Of course not. :headache: They are just starting the same arguments they did on the CB. Remind me not to go back over there.
Stay away from there!!!! On a side note, I am a member of a board where we have all been chatting since we were planning our weddings...so lets say about 7-9 yrs now. They started a spinoff board to complain about posts on the main board too. I went there once, because I am nosey ;) But I have not gone back. There wasnt really anything posted there about me directly, but even if there was it was just so negative. I dont need to see that, and neither do you!

Crazy, all fixed and we now have 2 rooms at Pop. At first he was putting me right next to the pool. WAIT!!! Hold it. I like to sleep at night. Put me away from the pool. I just want some standard rooms. But away from the pool at night.
How fun! I just got my first ever pin code in an email...the one year we arent planning to go at all because of the new baby. Really made me consider it though! Their marketing people are so smart.

I have been dealing with a house full of sickies this week. First my DH got sick. He has never missed a day of work in the 10 yrs we have been together, and he missed 4 this week :scared1: Fever, cough, aches...no sleep to be had in my house with him hacking away all night. I have been sleeping on the pull out couch so as not to contract his illness (since he had already contaminated the bedroom;) ) and that is not the most comfy. Then DD got the flu last night (or food poisioning?) and was up sick about 3 times. Ugh. So far, knock on wood, I am ok. Thankfully....only about 10 more days until I have this baby so I just need to hang in there and stay healthy!

We still have not agreed on a name, the nursery is not even close to done and I have no energy to deal with any of the mountains of laundry awaiting me. Anybody want to come clean my house? :rotfl:

i just had to share this with you all. i just got off the phone with my mom. she said she and my stepdad went over to my grandparents' house today to help them clean up all the trees. well, about 40 people ended up showing up to help. she said people were all over the yard with saws and bags and trailers, etc., cleaning everything up. she talked to one of the girls and most of them were just a group of people that got together this weekend and just drove around to help people clean up their yards from the storm damage. mom said that my grandpa got them together before they left and tried to give them some money, but they wouldn't take it. after that he was thanking them and he got choked up a little bit and one of the little boys that was there came over and hugged him.....some kid he didn't even know! how sweet is that??????? :goodvibes  anyway, that whole story just made me feel good and i had to spread the joy. :flower3:

Dance...I'll come clean your house! :thumbsup2 I actually like cleaning someone elses house better than mine! I use to help a friend who had 4 kids get hers in order! And can it really only be about 10 days until you have the baby???? Where did the time go?!?

Dawn...I am assuming Longhorn is a 2nd job or have you quit the courts? :confused3 I know I am very behind. I'll have to take time to catch up.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to all those birthday girls/guys I missed! Hope your days were special!

Life here has been crazy. I am now officially a sales-person and I'm not sure how I feel about it. My job keeps me very busy and I am exhausted by the time I get home. Getting on here has been impossible.

I'm gonna go try to catch up.....Have a great night!!!! :goodvibes

I am not kidding, I'd be there in a heartbeat to help you out. Sorry I am not nearby. Hope you avoid the flu. It totally stinks!

I have done mounds of wash today. I still have mounds to do. I almost threw in the towel. I hate laundry.

Dawn...I am assuming Longhorn is a 2nd job or have you quit the courts? :confused3 I know I am very behind. I'll have to take time to catch up.

yes, longhorn is just part-time on the weekends. i needed some extra disney money as court reporting has been kinda slow lately. plus i know i could do more productive things with my time. and since i don't have any kids yet, i figured i might as well do this now because once that happens, i won't be able to!

Dawn, how nice of those people to help out your grandparents! That really touched my heart! Thanks for sharing!

just so you're up to speed, the reason they needed help cleaning up their yard is because they lost most of the very old, big trees (LOTS of them) in their front yard from the tornadoes that hit tennessee and surrounding areas last week.

That is so sweet! I cant believe the size of those trees that were uprooted!

Yep, 10 more days, c-section on the 20th very early in the morning. I am a bit bittersweet about it though. I am feeling more and more uncomfortable by the day, yet going to miss being pregnant when it is over this time around. DD was over a week late so I had lots of time to feel ready. This time it is set for 38 weeks, so I have less time to 'enjoy' it all I guess.

And, thanks guys! I wish you were closer too :rotfl: Actually I wish I was a little less OCD about things so I could trust my DH to help more. (I still find myself unloading and re-loading the dishwasher when he bothers to load it because he doesnt do it right :rolleyes1) He just doesnt feel the urgency I do right now though, and it is killing me! I want it done, like yesterday. I had to beg him to assemble the crib last weekend...and thank god I did because we had to express order some bolts for it that got misplaced when he took it apart after DD was done with it.

Yesterday, I got to walk in a t-shirt, it was so nice out.
I'm sure you have great legs, but I hope either it was a long shirt or you put some pants on.:rolleyes1

That is very sweet. I love when people practice random acts of kindness.

I have to confess, we went to Cheesecake Factory tonight and I wasn't peepish at all. I started with a lemon drop, and it hit hard because I was hungry (I had done the elliptical again today). I ate all of my dinner (chicken stuffed tortillas), and then a piece of cheesecake too. I probably should have worked out for 5 hours to make up for that. Lesson learned- No drinking on an empty stomach, because then I have no self-control for the food.

MJ Hope your birthday was happy:flower3:

GOOD MORNING!

Punkin! Thanks for the story about your grandparents. What a nice "pay it forward" thing to do. I got a little choked up too! RE: Longhorn...I don't know how you do it all! I still have waitress nightmares after all these years. Sounds like tips have improved though! That's a very good thing!

Jen.....Here's a  for you...taking care of the sick people. Hold your breath! You have to be WELL 10 days from now. :)

Faith....Now you'll be sorry you asked. It's all I can do not to write Melinda's ADDING FIBER MANIFESTO. Fiber makes you feel fuller and helps things move through your system so it's a good thing. I try to get at least 30 grams of fiber every day.

Breakfast: low sugar instant oatmeal with 2 T. organic ground flax seed...200 calories/7 gr. fiber. (read up on the flax seed...it's great for women "our age")

For lunch, I try to have something with at least 5-6 grams fiber. (the lean cuisine "spa" selections are made with all whole grains. Under 300 calories usually. I like the salmon/basil.) Sometimes I make my own lean cuisines. My favorites are whole wheat pasta with veggie sauce. (I just add a bag of frozen veggies to a can of store-bought sauce....under 300 calories/11 gr fiber) and Zateran's black beans/rice to which I add a bag of frozen peppers/onions and some hot sauce...250ish calories/6 gr fiber) I portion them out in those little cheap plastic zip-lock containers with the blue lids you can buy at the grocery.

When I get home from work, I usually have a 1/2 cup fiber one with 1/2 cup skim milk for a snack....100 calories/14 grams fiber. And then dinner which will usually make up the difference on the fiber.

Extras
...Try to add as many raw vegetables, fruits, and nuts as you can. (I could eat my weight in raw broccoli and Kraft lite 3-cheese ranch.) I also like sweet potatoes and beans which are both high in fiber. A Fiber One bar (9 grams fiber) or a Fiber One yogurt (5 grams fiber) will help if you're in a hurry. If you're having a really bad fiber day, just eat a big bowl of Fiber One and you're covered. ;) If you don't like Fiber One, just top it with your favorite cereal for a half/half combo that is more palatable. Here are some tips on the Fiber One web site for getting more fiber into your diet. Hope that helps.

ps...I know you're trying to lay off the meat/fat but protein will also keep you feeling full. Look for low fat protein sources to help you feel fuller and whenever you feel the hunger coming on....drink some water. Most of the time we're not really hungry....we're thirsty.

EVERYBODY.....Here's the birthday list. AGAIN I SAY....let me know if you're not on it! Ooooo....look who's birthday's tomorrow!

If you're not on here, please post your birthday in BIG BOLD LETTERS. Thanks.
