Yesterday I posted my 6 pound weight loss for the week. Thursday it was at 9 pounds and today it's TEN pounds....which proves weigh-days are jinxed!!!!!

My DH even noticed after I asked him if he noticed anything different about me. After 3 wrong guesses, he hesitantly asked "Did you lose weight?" I squealed "YOU NOTICED!" :sad2: :rotfl2:

oh, i've got to share this story with you guys.......you'll LOVE this one! my step-grandmother called me last weekend. i NEVER hear from her so i was surprised when she called. anyway, she's talking to me about random stuff (she's VERY looney) and she says, "i got your your christmas card" -- yeah, i know we're in APRIL and she's talking about christmas cards :sad2: -- "and i saw ray and i thought to myself, well, that's ray and those are their dogs but who is that girl with him? maybe he and dawn split up and he got remarried. wait a minute....i think that's dawn! she's just gained a good bit of weight." :headache: :headache: :headache: the last time i saw this woman was at christmas in 2006. the christmas card she's referring to was in 2007 and i had lost about 33 pounds at that point. and i told her that, too. i called my mom to tell her what she said and she just laughed.

on a positive note, my dad was showing this woman he's been dating a picture of his kids that was taken last june. she asked him how old we were and he said 21, 24 and 31. she goes, "oh, the girl on the far right is 21, right?" that was me. :cool2:  he said, "my daughter is gonna LOVE you! she's the 31-year-old." :rotfl2:

Bless her heart! How CUTE is she? What if she's totally lucid and she's just messing with you? :lmao:

My DH's g'ma offered me a candy out of a super stale looking box of chocolates, and I said "No Thank You" she pushed the box even further toward me saying, "You're not THAT fat!" (I was at my goal weight at the time).

Utahmama- You are killing me today with your posts!!! Nice way to start my day I gotta tell you. CONGRATS on your HUGE weightloss this week! YIPPPPPEEEEEEEE!!!

On Monday I FINALLY get to see the endochronologist for my diabetes. It's been totally out of control (OOC!- not to be confused with OCD!!! Which I probably am as well!!! LOL!) Anyway- I'm very insulin resistant right now, which means bad blood sugar readings and no weight loss. Hopefully once I get started with him, thigns will change and I'll start dropping weight.

Wish me luck everybody- I'm really gonna need it!

Are you taking insulin or is your body not benefiting from it. Are they adjusting and trying new ones. You can do it.

No- I'm not taking insulin yet- and I really don't want to start into it either. I'm hoping with this new Dr. I can get things back to normal. This is the absolute hardest thing I have ever had to deal with in my life! It is terribly discouraging for me- and seems to be all I think about lately... and I hate it.

If there is anyone out there on this thread that is pre-diabetic- TAKE CARE OF IT NOW!!! You will not regret it- I promise!!

Hello all----I know it has been a while since I have been here. As far as weight goes I have stayed the same. Life on the other hand has been very STRESSFUL!! DH is self-employed and it looks as if we might be closing the business. The younger 2 have been sick for it seems like eternity. Joshua got tubes for the 2nd time two weeks ago and then came down with a viral throat infection--temp was right at 104--then baby Rebekah is on her I don't know how manyieth ear infection. They want to wait one more month and maybe we will be better. Well that puts us at trip time---which it looks like we might cancel due to DH job and if baby has to get tubes. It just seems like Life has a way of doing this. I am good--just very tired. I go to the neuro on Monday for my headaches--this is going to be fun. I am ging to ask him to also check my thyroid---I am losing my hair all over-more than half is gone form my arms and such-at first I thought it was from having a baby, but that was 6 mths ago. We will see.

I still need to get rid of 15 pounds :headache:

It is very humid today. There was a huge storm last night, and it rained tons, but now it's nice and sunny, but so humid, and it makes me want to have a big dish of ice cream so bad, but I was good, and just had a WW dessert, which was good, but I'm sure real ice cream would be more satisfying.

I've decided to cancel my Netflix subscription. I just don't use it that much anymore. I used to rent at least four movies a week from them, but I rented none in March, three in February, one in January, none in December, get my point? At $10 a month, it's not worth it for one or two movies.

Sorry I am MIA... didn't have time to weigh yesterday, or really catch up on the pages I missed. I am -1.2 today.

We're having dinner together!!!!! We had planned on MK for Su but our friends wanted to do the Safari Celebration dinner at AK, so we'll be over there at least until dinner is over, we may run into you at MK if we head that direction to wind up the night. Kat and Lynda~ I can add you to my GG if you'd like and we can all do the Illuminations dinner if there are still openings.........

Have a peepish day everyone!

How much is the event? I am not sure I could talk Mr Kat into it, but who knows? :confused3

I like a McD's ice cream cone when I am really craving... it is only 150 cals. Or Breyer's has the 100 cal cookies and cream cups, yumminess.

My dad is type 1 and has brittle control........ dr speak for no control to speak of....... it's really hard for him. I am so afraid of becoming diabetic which is why I am trying so hard not to be overweight.

Heather~ I'm so soory your life has been so topsy turvy. One thing at a time is hard enough to handle but when it's several at once, you just feel like you can't catch a break. I really hope you can find a way to make DH's business work and he can stay open. I see by your ticker that you're checking in around Memorial Day, we leave the Sat before........

Kat~ It's $60 per person or 2 TS credits if you are getting the DDP. They are supposed to have foods from all the countries so he should be able to find a little somethign to eat. It would be so much fun to have several peeps there at once.

So I've go to go to dinner, we're going to Texas Roadhouse........ It's a cheat day so I'm not counting any calories tonight!

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc THAT's funny Dizzy!
Now I know who God gave the rest of my chest to  When I'm at some sort of goal weight, I am an A...almost a B :guilty: . I'm a C now :)

Well, I took DD to the Dr. this afternoon. Right after she puked chocolate milk on my ivory carpet, and while the tornado sirens were sounding.
Hope your girl feels better soon, and you stay healthy.

Danielle, sorry you are  Feel better buddy!:goodvibes

Danielle, the flu is awful I hope you feel better soon.

Danielle~ PD for you too

t I totally blew it on the way home and stopped for a McD's sundae. I' not sure what's for dinner tonight so I have to eat light until we figure it out.
Thanks for all the love. I slept 13 hours last night (the one good thing about DH being out of state). And MHL, the McD's hot fudge sundae is 330 calories, so not great, but not the end of the world as sundaes go.

Good news though, I'm -1. Not really sure how that happened since we had some fast food this week and I only went to the gym once. The dress pants I wear to work are feeling looser and some of my tops are fitting better!
Sometimes the weight you deserved to lose earlier takes its own sweet time to show up. :thumbsup2 on the pants.

Well as I posted up there I had a little disagreement with my DB and I went an ate some chocolate ice cream with reese's peanut butter cups mushed in it. It's a new shop that opened like 5 minutes away from my house, oh goody. He just got me so angry and his wife is a trouble maker too. Anyway today's another day.
Oh man. I work down the street from Cold Stone creamery, and DH and I made a pact that we can only go twice a year, his birthday and mine, and that will be dinner for that day. On bad days, I hear it calling to me. Sorry your brother and sil are giving you grief.

:rotfl: on the hubby. Hope you can hang onto the weight loss until next Friday. I was down an additional 2 lbs. this morning, but that's because I had a banana for dinner last night.

oh, i've got to share this story with you guys.......you'll LOVE this one! my step-grandmother called me last weekend. i NEVER hear from her so i was surprised when she called. anyway, she's talking to me about random stuff (she's VERY looney) and she says, "i got your your christmas card" -- yeah, i know we're in APRIL and she's talking about christmas cards :sad2: -- "and i saw ray and i thought to myself, well, that's ray and those are their dogs but who is that girl with him? maybe he and dawn split up and he got remarried. wait a minute....i think that's dawn! she's just gained a good bit of weight." :headache: :headache: :headache: the last time i saw this woman was at christmas in 2006. the christmas card she's referring to was in 2007 and i had lost about 33 pounds at that point. and i told her that, too. i called my mom to tell her what she said and she just laughed.

:sad2: to step-granny, and :woohoo: to being mistaken for 21. I'd be happy to be mistaken for 31.

On Monday I FINALLY get to see the endocrinologist for my diabetes. It's been totally out of control (OOC!- not to be confused with OCD!!! Which I probably am as well!!! LOL!) Good luck.pixiedust: I'm another one who is trying to lose weight to avoid diabetes. My mom is diabetic and had her first stroke in her 50's. Do everything you can to help yourself, because avoiding the damage diabetes can do is worth any sacrifice you have to make.

one time she got a pedicure....went home to shower and the paint was still wet....yeah the knuckledragging :chewy: hooo hoo's scraped her paint off...

Maybe her toes just couldn't dry in the shade?:confused3

Hello all----I know it has been a while since I have been here. As far as weight goes I have stayed the same. Life on the other hand has been very STRESSFUL!!
Sorry life is so hard.

it makes me want to have a big dish of ice cream so bad, but I was good, and just had a WW dessert, which was good, but I'm sure real ice cream would be more satisfying.
I went for it. I had the slow-churned mint chip ice cream for lunch. 165 calories for 6 oz. Again, not too bad for satisfying a craving. I was feeling sorry for myself, and nothing sounded good except ice cream.

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc THAT's funny Dizzy!
Now I know who God gave the rest of my chest to  When I'm at some sort of goal weight, I am an A...almost a B :guilty: . I'm a C now :)
When I'm losing weight, I tell DH to say good-bye to the girls. If only he were a fat thigh man (there must be some out there somewhere!!!)

Get THIS!

Still 10 pounds lost...but it was only officially 6 friday morning...so 4 so far (fuzzy disney math?) and holding.

Anyway, I'm making triple chocolate chip with pecan cookies for my kids and dh and I don't even want ANY. No batter licking, no poison checking, no quality control...NOTHING! I think I was hypnotized in my sleep :confused3

NO I won't post the recipe, DON'T ASK.

I saw Misty today (Spongemommie) and she had lost 40 pounds, remember?
OMGosh, she looks great! See, I usually see her daily so I don't pay attention. But suddenly, when I saw her today, she's looking smoking HOT!

I'm still working on catching up on the thread, but in the meantime here are some puppy pics. DH and I took him to the park and wore him out - it wasn't too far but a a 6 to 7 block round trip walk is better than nothing.

Those were all taken last sat and sunday right after we got him. I'll be taking more tomorrow and try to add them sometime this week.

Stephanie - Love the puppy pics!

UM - Tell Misty CONGRATULATIONS from me! And another CONGRATULATIONS for yourself for losing 10 pounds! I love doughs of all kinds; I'm so impressed that you aren't wolfing it down.

Since I've been watching the calories, I've been WAY less inclined to binge eat. I think part of it is just that I'm aware of how highly caloric so many foods that I binge on are. Amazingly, I used to just eat whatever without really holding back, and when I compare how many calories I probably ate then with how many I should have to lose a couple pounds a week - it's overwhelming.

Unfortunately the weather's been BAD NEWS for the last few days so I haven't had a really nice, long walk for a while. I'll force myself on to the treadmill tonight, even though it's boring, and do part of my Callanetics video for good measure.

Good job this week, everybody! Isn't it WAY easier to do this with Peeps?

Oh yeah, is that the place where you throw the peanut shells on the floor? If it is my DS6 LOVED that. He wasn't even eating the peanuts, just throwing the shells on the floor was plenty fun for him.

Those were all taken last sat and sunday right after we got him. I'll be taking more tomorrow and try to add them sometime this week.

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he's so cute!!!! what's his name? i'm a beagle lover and have 2 myself: sherman who is 10 years old and eli who is 3 years old. they are my babies and i love them so. i will post pics of them later because i'm on DH's laptop right now and he doesn't have them on here. the only advice i can give you with having a beagle puppy is have patience!!! they are chewers. but they are such good dogs and so worth the wait and frustration of the puppy months! oh, and if he ever eats a flip flop just give him 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and he'll throw it up. i know from experience! ;)
