This week was a major stresser for me!! But I am happy to report that I am down -.6

It's not a lot but it's better than nothing. So I am very happy with it. Plus that is after a night of celebrating at Olive Garden. :rotfl:

That is why my "cheat" day is the day I weigh myself. ;) I have a whole week then to lose what I gain on that day.
 
We are at Beach Club Villas from May 18th - May 23rd. We may want to meet up by the pool or something one day? I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time by the pool!

I will be in disney around the same time as u. I am staying at the Beach club villas..may 14th - may 21st

Lynda and I will be there as well! We'll have to try to get together for a quick picture. We should post our plans to see if any thing overlaps.

I am very happy to report that I am down 3.2lbs this week. I restarted on Mon and in 5 days of being good, I am off to a great start. I will lose 10 lbs before our trip!

some of you may have noticed i have opted out of the posting numbers thing for the past 2 weeks..basically because there was nothing good to post. i have been a yo yo and a half up 2 down 1 up 1.4 down .6..it has been very frustrating and sad for me lately. SO ..i have decided starting Monday i will be doing WW again. this was the only plan that gave me success in the past so i figure i should give it a REAL shot again. I will be doing it at home like i always have. so..long story short..i should be posting ups and HOPEFULLY all downs starting next friday again. I need this..and i really need the support of the peeps! :grouphug:

Here are my plans I will try to make them as brief as possible...if all goes well this is our schedule considering I will be there with 8 girls it may not go by the book and I'm fine with that ....I swear! ;)

I'm just being lazy, eating junk food, and not exercising. I've gained 8 pounds since last fall. I keep telling myself I'm going to get back on track. I AM still eating my oatmeal and flax seed every morning! :laughing:

Thanks guys. You almost made me cry. You don't know how good you made me feel. Grab some water and some fruit because I wasn't on at all yesterday and I'm really behind so here goes.

okay......two fabulous finds for you guys. i was in the salad section at kroger just now grocery shopping (what else would i be doing at kroger???) and they had these pre-portioned salads that were half off because they expire on 4/10. so i bought one to have for lunch tomorrow. it's spring mix greens, granny smith apples, dried apricots, toasted pecans, and white cheddar cheese with a white balsamic vinegarette. looks yummy and i'm sure the calorie count isn't too horrible.

That salad sounds really good

Okay so most of you know that I am doing my thesis on Disney.

Oh and I made candy glass slippers out of white chocolate, chocolate mickey shapes, I got the committee members Cars Pez, a Ratatouille gummy food cookbook, and Princess mints.

I just finished doing my taxes, and GREAT news... over $1800 in combined refunds!! :yay: I thought we were going to owe this year, but the tuition deduction came through (for the last time, sigh).

And with that $600 rebate or whatever it is that everyone's getting, I can almost finish paying off my student loans.

I just want you to know that I do take offense to your post. I came to this thread for support and encouragement while I battle cancer and try to lose some weight to increase my chances of survival. I did not come over here to discuss hot political topics, slam people I do not know or participate in generalizations regarding groups of people I do not know.

MY TMJ is all out of whack!!!

It was a fun visit. I wished Misty/Spongie could have been there. Her youngest fell back asleep so she couldn't. Later, Misty brought me over the Bells Bracelet she made for me from the Twilight series. It is AH-mazing!!!!

UM - sorry to hear about your TMJ, hope you feel better soon. I am done with the second book and have to buy the third today or tomorrow. I love it. Can you post a picture of the bracelet please.

"jon and kate plus eight" is on TLC right now and they're taking their kids to disney world.....it looks like it'll be a good show!

I thought that maybe I would make a countdown calender for 30 days out and hang it in my computer/scrapbook room, and just wait to see how long it takes the boys to figure it out. I don't know. I also thought of surprising them during my youngest son's birthday party. His birthday is May 30th and next year we will be at Disney for this 6th birthday and of course would have his party a week to 2 weeks early. It would be really cool if he opened a birthday card saying "Surprise! You'll be spending your birthday with the Mouse." If you have any suggestions let me know. I always appreciate other's input.

I think both of those ideas are great.

Speaking of bed bugs.....the schools sent home flyers last week because there has recently been several infestations of bed bugs in the county. It makes me itch just thinking about it.

We had a lice problem in our school in the winter this year, I was totally yucked out by that.

I'm -3.4 lb today. Isn't it a wonder when you're sick and you keep track of your points how well you do. The end of last week I had a sinus infection so I ate soup for three days for dinner and just nibbled for lunch. Couldn't taste anything food is not enjoyable if you can't taste it. I'll be back later girls, I just read 10 pages and I must go take a shower while DD2 is sleeping. Talk to you later. Gotta go PM dizneydawn too.

UM - i'm taking a free pass today. i'm SO SORE and because of that i'm weighing about 3 pounds more than i usually do. but i know that next week that soreness will have paid off. i see lots of pretty numbers and i don't want to ruin it for you guys, so i'm gonna pass this week.

oh, i found out this morning that a guy i dated in high school has been arrested 44 times and is on the tennessee bureau of investigation's most wanted list. nice, huh???:scared1: glad i got rid of him when i did!!!

It was really awesome. :thumbsup2 In fact, I was going to mention in my previous post that I would like to do a countdown like Dawn's, but I forgot to include that before hitting the submit button. :upsidedow I told my husband that when we pass a Home Depot that I would have to stop to get Mickey shaped paint "cards?". I don't need them yet but stocking up now won't hurt. ;)

thanks! yes, you'll definitely need to stock up on mickey heads a little at a time. i had to have 30 and it's kinda hard to stuff 30 mickey heads in your purse without anyone noticing. i'd usually go in and get like 6 or 7 at a time.

I have hit my "lose 30 before Disney" with a little bit to spare!!

Can I ask the Calorie Counters a question? Most of what I cook for the family has too many calories per serving for me to stay at my recommended number. Obviously the greater problem is that I have to learn to cook new things...

Do you all eat mostly pre-prepared stuff, like South Beach and Lean Cuisine meals, or do you have another plan? I want to keep it simple for now, but once I lose the weight I want to be able to eat whatever the rest of the family does. Any suggestions?

here's what i do. if DH isn't cooking (he's the cook in our house) i either eat a frozen lean cuisine/smart ones/healthy choice meal or i fix myself some soup and 1/2 a sandwich or a salad, depending on my mood. if he is fixing dinner, i don't require him to make something special for me. i just take a smaller portion of what he's making than i used to. it all evens out if you just keep in mind what you had earlier in the day and drink your water!

When I cook dinner, I always cook a big serving of vegetables, (frozen or prepackaged works great) then I make a seasoned meat (no sauces, easier to track the calories) and a "starchy" type of side dish. I just eat the meat and vegetables. Or I make a big salad as a side dish, and put my serving of meat on top of my salad.

And I'm starting to get those old "I'm fat and I'm always going to be fat" thoughts creeping into my head. Not cool. But I'm just going to have to pick myself up by the boot straps and keep on, keeping on. The tide will turn eventually.

This is where I seem to be. Since March 10th I have weighed within the same 3 pounds. This is my lowest weight in along time. I think I'm almost scared to cross that threshold. What will I look like? I've never seen myself at 150 pounds....I'd like to....but, something is keeping me hovering at this plateau. ( my mouth maybe? -open mouth insert food syndrome-) Gotta keep going though, this is a life journey, and I'm in it for the long run.

TMJ= Temporal Mandibular Joint

Put your fingers right on the joint of your lower jaw (mandible) and open and close your mouth to feel the TMJ . It's "out" just before my ear opening. It's kind of popping in and out, painfully.

Very handy on a diet I must say! :sad2:

Oh, and why am I at home posting when I should be teaching precious little four year olds, you might ask? Well, DD's school called as soon as the kids finished snack and said that she had a fever. So this will be my second trip to the Dr. within a week. Although I'm gonna be careful driving cause that's when I got the screw in my tire last week by taking DS to the Dr. With the week I've had I REALLY need some traveling Pixie Dust. :rotfl2:

Right now I feel more like Arnold Ziffel than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

That is really alot. It is so easy to put back on, it just creeps back slooowly. So I give you a BIG pat on the back, (or I could punch you in the other jaw, whatever works!:rotfl: ) for KEEPING it off.

Even though my scale is not moving much, I am loving the slooow definition of muscles that are trying to show themselves. If I quit working out, that would be like admitting defeat. At least this way, when the scale does start moving in the right direction, I'll have something to see!

I try to picture weight as meat in the grocery store. (that sounds weird) Let me explain, even 1 pound, when you hold that single package, is alot when you think of strapping it to your body and carrying it around with you for the rest of your life. Picture 5 or 10 pounds. That's alot of rump roast!
To have it gone, for good, is a terrific goal. Even babysteppin'.
Slow and steady wins and COMPLETES the race.

But I'm thinkin' next week will be better. Why... between seeing the endochronologist and dietician for the first time AND my gall bladder acting up, I could lose 20- 30 lbs. EASY! LOL!
