Shannon and Jo Finishing my TR is another goal I have !! I have actually been working on a new installment today and hope to have it up by Friday. Since Brandon will be gone teaching his new cadets how to find their way out of the woods, I figured I would also try to find my way out of this slump. And what better way to do that than to finish a Disney TR ( and help Caylin with our Pre trippie )

Melinda I'm so glad your daughter gets to go on her trip !! Caylin was actually supposed to get to go this Summer, too. Actually up until last Friday she and about 30 other students were going, long story, that will have us and the other parents until it's straightened out. But I am glad your situation worked out and she gets to go..... lucky girl !!

Okay, I'm off to help Brandon finish packing and finish my dinner preparations, and maybe add some more to my TR !!!

Just as we were about to leave for Chicago a courier service called to say they were delivering it in 15 minutes. The tour company rebooked DD on a direct flight tonight and she arrives in Paris 2 hours after the rest of the group.

Got to get her to the airport!

This actually brought a tear to my eyes. I am so happy for DD!!! WIll she being flying alone or is there anyton else going at this time as well? Congrats!!

Does anyone know if they sell those suits in the Disney stores? Also, DVC members get 10% off at disneyshopping.com and I think AP holders get a discount too (I don't have mine today so can't login to the AP website).

duncanssweetie, welcome back! I have joined since you left. There is plenty of room on the wagon!! I, like UM, found a bit of lost weight (on my WDW trip) and am working on losing it again, hopefully this weigh-in will be a good one.

the reason i'm asking is it's on sale for $14.99 and i'm thinking i might get it. i wanted to know how it fit you.....if the top or bottoms ran big. my bottom is bigger than my top and you can't buy them separately. just wondering what you thought of it. thanks!

Yes, I did get it and it is SO cute in person. (I got it on sale too!) And it runs big, very big. Like I am a 16 now and that is what I ordered, and the bottoms literally fall to the floor on me. Nice feeling I guess, but not so nice for swimming Get it, maybe order 2 sizes and return one that is not right.

I wish knee-length swim suits were in fashion. My top half is just fine ("FINE" LOL!) but my thighs need a thigh-master. Or lipo. Or magic. Or exercise.....or magic!!!!

So, I stick to an opaque sarong! You can make one out of a couple yard of sheer co-ordinating fabric. Just do a narrow seam and voila! Hotty at the pool... with cute kids in tow, and a large iced beverage!

2 words for you....Swim skirts. LOVE them. You can get a solid color one that coordinates with your top and put it over your bottoms, good to go. I love a swim skirt. My thighs are pretty meaty

Well, I have that exact bathing suit! I would say that I am pretty well porportioned in my wieght gain. Maybe carrying a little more in my mid section... nothing that really effects this bathing suite overall fit much. The site says to order bathing suits one size larger than your dress size. I did this. Kinda. It seems to fit alright. Although I am on the looser end of 12/ tighter end of 10 because of my hieght I chose to go with a size 12 (1 size up from my "tighter" size) because I am only 5'2" tall. I would suggest if you are between sizes, like me, to do this. Otherwise I would say to follow the directions and go up a size. Also, it is easily tailored. I have sort of hemmed the top to give me less length in the straps and it is perfect now. I think you could probably easily tailor the bottoms as well because the ties on the side would hide any alterations. Hope that helps!

Funny that I said the exact opposite! Maybe the bigger in size, the more off in size they were? Because by the logic of ordering up a size, I would be a 14 and I am not a 14...yet! I was able to take a tuck in the bottoms right by the ties and it looks fine. The top fits ok in the 16...but I am unusually large up there, for now at least.

welcome back!!!! i don't know if you've posted since i've been here or not, but if not, nice to "meet" you! and yes, friday is still weigh-in day. i'm sorry for all the rough times you've had, but hopefully things are getting better now.

speaking of bathing suits, i finally ordered the one i had told you guys about yesterday. i figured dance is busy and just hasn't checked the boards in awhile and since thinktink gave me some input, i went with a 12. i'm wearing size 10 pants right now, but i know how big my backside is and i like to keep it covered in a bathing suit. i'm pretty sure i'll have to get the top taken in since i wear a small or medium shirt. i'm so wierd!

I failed you, I am so sorry! I hope the one you got fits. I hate trying to retrun and exchange stuff...especially stuff that I dont want to be without once I get it.

Phew! Now that I am semi caught up.....I have been MIA because the weather here has finally decided to become summer. We have been at the pool alot the last few days, and went to a baseball game last night. I love summer And it has done wonders for everyones mood being able to burn off some energy outside this week.

I have also been off doing research for my surgery. I think I have picked my surgeon and we set a tentative date for July 17th I go back to him for a pre-op appt on July 3rd and we will narrow it down from there if we need to change it at all. (we have to do some preliminary bloodwork and a mamogram- since I am not old enough to have ever had one they like to do one before surgery and after.) So barring an unusual results form that I will be getting myself all done up on the 17th. I have been scouring the internet for before and after pics, and looking up Dr records. Such a scary process, but one I know I will end up being very happy with having done in the end. I cant wait to buy bras in a regular store, or get a shirt in a size other than XL because it has to accomodate the twins

Hi Everybody !!! I'm not sure if a lot of you remember me or not, it seems like FOREVER since I visited this thread !!!

For those of you that do, here's a quick update and explanation of my absence.
After we returned from our Suprise trip with Lexie in March we had 3 deaths in our family. It was an AWFUL time around here for all of us. Then just when we thought things were going to be good for a while my great grandmother passed away May 24th. In a way I am thankful she is gone and out of pain, and in another way I'm sad because she was one of the neatest people I knew and could always count on her for telling the best stories to me and my girls. Anyway, before I short out my laptop with tears, I thought I had cried them all out)
During this time I ate back all the pounds I had lost and found about 10 more that managed to make a nice lovely home with the rest of my unwanted tenants that reside in my hiney. I came to the realization yesterday that I needed to get off my hiney and start evicting them, so here I am.

You all helped me before, and I could really use it again. Brandon leaves Friday for 33 days and I would really LOVE to pick him up from the airport a little lighter than what I am on Friday. I don't care how much I lose as long as I feel better, get moving, and start making better food choices. I would LOVE to be a skinny minnie by the time Caylin and I take our trip in September and I know I can I just need a little help.

I will weigh myself Friday and start from there since weigh in is Friday, or has that changed? If so let me know and I 'll go from there.

I am a little discouraged today...I have not walked all week b/c of the weather and I had a few too many cookies tonight. Although going into dinner I was 10g of fat and just had a few bites of the S/S chicken DH made. So I guess the cookies were the splurge and I hope to be down on Friday. I will weigh in the morning to see if I have to stave myself tomorrow!!

Hey Peeps! Melinda, so happy the passport thing worked out! I hope your DD has a great trip!

Vicksburg was wonderful. I love the Civil War era. I could watch Gone with the Wind everyday! The B & B we stayed at was beautiful. The museums were interesting. And the food was great! I ate horribly! The last night there we went to this great seafood and steak restaurant. I had a filet with lump crabmeat cream sauce! But I did eat a salad and fresh asparagus for sides. Not like DH, who had ribeye with crabmeat and fried shrimp and baked potato. We have baseball tournaments the next three weekends - out of town. Well, I am off to bed - we did not rest much on our 2 day vacation. Hope everyone is well!

Haven't been on in about a week but wanted to check in.I didn't really read back much but I did see that Mel's Dd gets to go on her trip.That is awesome!!!

Rachel(DD3) is having her surgery in the morning.She is having her tonsils and adnoids out.Her sleep apnea has gotten really bad lately so we decided to go ahead and do it.For some reason I am really nervous about this, which seems strange since DS11 has had one surgery and DS9 has had seven.

A while back I posted that I thought that my Disney trip might need to be canceled because of my DH's transmission.Well my brother was able to do it for us....DRUMROLL PLEASE....for $100!!!! This would have cost us $2500 anywhere else but his boss gave him most of the parts as a bonus and he didn't charge us any labor. We will be giving him some $$ anyway but he still saved us.I am still tentative with my Disney plans because I am having to take time off without pay to take care of Ray but it looks good for us to be able to go.Sorry this ended up so long.

no need for apologies! we all get busy. i actually ordered a 12 just because i like ample backside coverage. we'll see how it fits when it gets here. i can always return it for a 10 if it's too big......i don't mind returns when things are too big!

seriously...it's no biggie! i don't mind exchanging for a *smaller* size......trust me! and i've got TONS of bathing suits to tide me over if i have to exchange it. they don't fit all that well because of the weight i've lost, but i can deal.
