The tooth fairy came last night!
I'm amazed she made it to my son's room after the NyQuil Smoothie she downed before bed . I'm waiting for him to wake up and come running to me waving his dollar all happy as can be!!!! These are my favorite mama moments! PLUS, according to the LGMH paint chip countdown chart....3 more days till Disneyland! Please let none of us be sick....

Dance, I love my Mary Jane Crocs!! I also have the Caymans which I wore to WDW and they were great, but the Mary Jane's are a little smaller and very comfy because they fit my foot better and they seem lighter!! Plus they don't look as clunky as the regular crocs can !!

It would have really been funny if the tooth fairy had crashed landed and woke up poor sleeping DS! I didnt realize you were leaving so soon for DL!!! Feel better!

Just a quickpost. Trying to see if I can be on time for dance today. I have a hard time getting moving on Thursdays and have been late-ish the last few weeks. Lucky for me the kids are already there for school/daycare so they dont care!

Good Morning Everyone,

Just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone. I'm waiting a few more minutes till I can go upstairs (I'm at school) for my supervisor meeting about my new autistic client. I'm more than a little nervous about it, but the clinician who had her last semester has offered to give me some of her lesson plans, etc to help me out.

Today is a relax day for me sort of. After this meeting, I'm heading to SuperTarget to get more cookie icing ingredients (yes I'm making more cookies for this weekend. Actually they are already made, just need decorating). And I'm trying to think of a good Mother's Day gift. Her birthday is in June so if I get her something not so great for Mom Day I can always make up for it then . I really wanted to do a picture movie with sappy music but I just don't have the time to get it done. Oh well. I may get her a Heartwood Creek figurine. She loves it now but will never treat herself to a piece. Actually she did buy an Easter basket off QVC from him and was soooo excited about it. Yes, maybe I will do that. And I need to get her one of those musical cards - she's obsessed with them. Ok, I just rambled my to do list for all of you. oops.

I'm being awful with food. But I'm sucking it up and going to WW tonight for Weigh in. And hopefully the meeting will inspire and motivate me to get back on target.

I'm trying to think of shout outs and I can't! Except for a WOOO HOOOTY BEE!

Dance/Jen - I just ordered Mary Jane Crocs and Caymans. I hope they fit ok. The sizing is so weird with those shoes. I got black mary janes and brown caymans. The other colors are so pretty but I really am matchy matchy. There is no way I was going to wear black crocs if my outfit was all brown .

It came from Super WalMart, and it's made by Welch's. It IS good! The raisins are golden ones too. I will have to get more. I am out of cherry flavored craisins too!

Phew, finally caught up!! And been trying to write this post since 9:30, people are making work at work!

Eventer, sorry about the bee sting. I know what you mean about telling parents about DVC...we bought in February and still haven't told my parents. I honestly doubt we will. My dad is super-conservative and hates timeshares, and neither of them get the WDW thing.

Bee, congrats on the weight and the getting funny back!! You rock!!

I emailed my advisor about my project today and asked for help. Hopefully he will be understanding and I will have another semester and a better project idea, because this one is quite honestly not something I am interested in in the slightest. (prepare for vent...) I hate Duke. I have been trying to work on this since '04 when I finished the coursework. They make their MS students find their own advisor and project, and as I am part-time and have been working fulltime the entire way, that is nigh on impossible. I finally wound up finding a corporate tie-in and the dir. of graduate studies consented to be my advisor, but all that is an occasional request for an update. I will fully admit that I tend toward being a slacker, and I really need more involvement if I want to finish this. Meh to all of them!! (end vent)

Okay on a better note... I am so excited... I weighed today and I am 196, down a lb from last Fri. I thought I had totally blown it over the weekend with a huge binge pigout on Sat w/ wings/pizza/beer and Sun w/ a huge plate of mexican food. Guess the yardwork and super-low-calorie days paid off in no gain!!

Hockey last night was super-fun. I did whack my head pretty hard on the ice, but all that did was give me a wee bit of a headache today. The best part is, I am no longer sore as crap on Thursdays and can make it to the gym today! I have had coffee, a toaster scramble, 32 oz of water, and a mega-t green tea w/hoodia which somehow is making me wired as crap so hopefully I should have a good workout!

I am about to call and try to switch our trip next week *again*, to CSR. I would rather stay in a double and stay there, I love CSR.

On a croc related note- does anyone here have the mary janes? I have been trying to resist the urge to go get some, but I love the chocolate brown ones. They just seem cuter than the other crocs I have already. Just wondering if they are as comfy as the other models.

I love my Mary janes(brown) but I would not wear them all day at a park.I prefer mmy others for that but can't remember what they are called.

i'm getting really frustrated with the forecasting on weather.com. the first time i checked the 10-day forecast for orlando (a couple of days ago) it was great weather for our entire trip. every time i go back and check it they add more rain. sunday and monday both they are now forecasting rain, with just straight (not scattered) thunder showers for monday. i won't let it ruin our vacation, but the forecast has done a complete 180 in the last 2 days....i don't get it!!!!

by the way, does anyone know what they do about the fireworks when it's raining? i'm assuming they cancel the shows? we're going to be at MGM on sunday and i was really looking forward to fantasmic.

I grew up near Pittsburgh, PA, so yes! I lived in IL for 8 yrs after high school, 4 yrs of college downstate + 4 yrs of working in Chicago, before moving down here to NC in '00. I love it here.

Btw, never skated nor played hockey (or any sport for that matter!) when I lived up north... picked up both 4 yrs ago at age 27, here in NC. Played for 2 yrs then took 2 off, got married and fat, and got back into it about 3 weeks ago. I have watched it since I was about 10, though!

OK I am in mood, it seems DH's company just termindated an emplyee who requested certain days off for vacation and they denied it so he took one of the days they denied. Well they also decided that Saturday is manditory for all staff no they do not get another day off instead.

DH is fuming and now I don't know where my vacation stands!!! OK someone pass a brownie oh add to this info is that my pt job for evenings reuires me to be there on Saturdays so thats really great! Ok brownies please!!!!!

I am getting very excited for WI tomorrow, as I have been doing WW all week and the scale was very nice to me this morning. If I stay where I am, I can get my ribbon back! YAY!!!

I had some tragic news yesterday...A friend from church was out riding his bike and had a massive heart attack and died yesterday. He was in his late 50's and it was unexpected. The people in church are devastated and really rallying around his wife. He was one of these people who just retired a few years ago, was very involved in the missions of the church and he & his wife were planning many things for the future. It really has made me look at my husband's and my life and question the hours we both work. Yes we need money to pay bills, but is the amount of time we aren't spending together worth it? Life is too short.

Thanks for reading this and "listening" to me. I just needed to get that off my chest and tell my friends how I was feeling. Now, go give someone you love and extra big hug and tell them how much they mean to you!
