Where in NJ are you from? Thats where I live

I had noticed you were from Hawthorne....I grew up farther north in East Orange. Lived in Plainfield 5 years, then moved here to Buffalo. Love to go to Long Beach Island, but don't get there much. I miss the Jersey Shore in the summer! AHHHHH the memories! ;)

Whooo hooo Bee

Great news about the baby girl Pigget :thumbsup2

Our tooth fairy leaves letters and DD's write them back (they've all been kept!) It's so sweet to read what they write! Jessica's fairy is Tinkerbelle (she was mine too!) and Ellie's is Sugar Plum! Once when I was little I had a letter from the Queen of fairies I was so excited :yay:

DisneyObession... that's great because I hate the Sabres!!

So sorry to hear about your friend... interesting how a sudden loss can make you think about things.

I have done pretty well today and actually, I feel so much better about myself for some reason. I think my weight loss is starting to show and people are complimenting me on it, which helps. It helped to write to my MS advisor and get that off my chest, plus DH was so sweet to me about it last night and held me and let me cry and that made me feel supported and good.

So far today:
B: Toaster Scramble (150)
L: WW Roast Beef Bistro (190), big salad (100), yogurt (60)
S: Strawberries (60)

64 oz of water and 2 mega-T green tea w/ hoodia and a vitamin.

I think dinner may be a shrimp and seafood "boil" if DH is willing, or it might be a chicken breast w/ no skin meal from KFC w/ mashed and mac&cheese, which is 500 w/out the biscuit, add 220 for the biscuit. I think I would skip the biscuit and get the 200 cals from something else...

I exercised for an hour... 31 min on the elliptical (2.1 miles, 300 cals), 60 crunches, 30 torso rotation each side, 30 reps on chest, back pulldown, back row, leg curl, leg extension, leg press, bicep, tricep, shoulder. My gym has this cool "express" section that has all the machines (minus abs/torso) in one place, so it makes it easy to get it all done quickly.

That WW meal was awesome. It is big chunks of tender roast beef and a broc/cauli mixture but it was seasoned really well, and only 190 cals.

BTW, I am so happy that everyone is sharing calories and meals on here. It is like a wee journal, and I think it really helps hold me accountable and is a LOT more fun than filling out that fitday form. :goodvibes

i'm getting really frustrated with the forecasting on weather.com. the first time i checked the 10-day forecast for orlando (a couple of days ago) it was great weather for our entire trip. every time i go back and check it they add more rain. sunday and monday both they are now forecasting rain, with just straight (not scattered) thunder showers for monday. i won't let it ruin our vacation, but the forecast has done a complete 180 in the last 2 days....i don't get it!!!!

by the way, does anyone know what they do about the fireworks when it's raining? i'm assuming they cancel the shows? we're going to be at MGM on sunday and i was really looking forward to fantasmic.
That stinks...why cant they ever forcast the weather?!
And as for fantasmic, I heard they pretty much do it unless it is dangerously storming...like hurricane storming.

OK I am in mood, it seems DH's company just termindated an emplyee who requested certain days off for vacation and they denied it so he took one of the days they denied. Well they also decided that Saturday is manditory for all staff no they do not get another day off instead.

DH is fuming and now I don't know where my vacation stands!!! OK someone pass a brownie oh add to this info is that my pt job for evenings reuires me to be there on Saturdays so thats really great! Ok brownies please!!!!!

That stinks!!! I would think if he has already gotten approval for his vacation they cant take it back now. I cant believe they would approve it and then change heir mind like that. NO BROWNIES though!!!!!

GOOD MORNING!! Every time I see this word, Forest Gump is the one who says it...in my head.

HAVE A GREAT DAY! :flower3:
Hmm..that's exactly why I used it!! Great minds think alike!!
299!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great news Bee!! I will forgive you for the %#&* bite yesterday!!

I am getting very excited for WI tomorrow, as I have been doing WW all week and the scale was very nice to me this morning. If I stay where I am, I can get my ribbon back! YAY!!! :cool1:

I had some tragic news yesterday...A friend from church was out riding his bike and had a massive heart attack and died yesterday. He was in his late 50's and it was unexpected. The people in church are devastated and really rallying around his wife. He was one of these people who just retired a few years ago, was very involved in the missions of the church and he & his wife were planning many things for the future. It really has made me look at my husband's and my life and question the hours we both work. Yes we need money to pay bills, but is the amount of time we aren't spending together worth it? Life is too short.

Thanks for reading this and "listening" to me. I just needed to get that off my chest and tell my friends how I was feeling. Now, go give someone you love and extra big hug  and tell them how much they mean to you!

Im sorry to hear that. FIL works two jobs. Not b/c they need the money...just b/c he wants to save and save for retirement. (They are late 50's) That's why they don't spend a dime. Since my mom died I have re-evaluated everything. I firmly believe life is too short. Yes, we could have passed on DVC and saved but what if something happened tomorrow? Then all that we saved would mean nothing. And if we worked two jobs to save that was less time we had together. Just my two cents. :flower3:

DisneyObsession, I am so sorry for your loss. I had a friend in a motorcycle accident recently, but fortunately he only lost his left leg and is in good health otherwise. It could have been so much worse. The cool thing is that our church has rallied around his family and is helping support them since they now have no income until all the insurace stuff is finalized. Anyways... I will be praying for your friend's family.

Bee! Congrats!!! :cheer2: Hopefully I'm not too far behind you. Last Friday I was 325.4, and it's all in my butt, hips, and thighs! :sad2:

Uma, Are you "too excited to slweep"? :hyper:  I have 8 more days!

Okay, so I am one of those who would never dream of staying on a diet during vacation. I know... how bad is that? :guilty: I just feel like I'll work extra hard when I get back to take off what I gained. Vacation is about enjoying yourself, but in moderation. So Mickey begniets, here I come!!!

BTW, I finally bought a pair of Crocs today. They didn't have the Mary Janes in my size. Anyways, my normal size was swimming on me so I went down a size. Without the back strap they fit fine, but with the back strap they push my feet forward. How do I stretch out the back strap??? :confused3

I love the tooth fairy! I have had a children's story incomplete in my head for years now. See, there's more than one tooth fairy and if your's forgets, it was probably Todd. He has purple tights and always sleeps late. We've had Todd a few times.... Some fairies leave dollars, some silver dollars, quarters, etc.

They sell the prettiest, whitest baby teeth to Hawaii so they can make pooka shell necklaces out of them. The baby teeth with fillings are the one's they pave their fairy streets with.

It's SUPER cool you got a letter from the queen of fairies! :thumbsup2

I don't even know what I'm hoping for at weigh in this week considering I opted out last week because of the wonky scale. I guess I will be testing the scale again. And I could be exchanging it, but we'll see. I hope everyone has a great weigh in!

hey Peeps - just reading the last 15 or o pages -

Dene - have I told you lately that I love you, thanks for the uplifting photo:love: seriously girl - I saw a dude at the gym lat night that resembled your fella and I immediately thought of you...if he'da taken off his shirt I couldve really told you fur shure - but I felt that walking up to a total stranger and asking him to take his clothes off might get me kicked out of the gym...I dont think my DH would like it either:lmao:

Bee - one of my dear friends at work is recently divorced and I hear the pain in her voice similar to hers. but hers was something she asked for, because she realized the marriage was over, its just as hard I believe on both people...please know that the emotions you feel are normal. Hurt Anger Bitterness depression, its all normal. how you work thru it will determine the woman you are on the other side. BEE strong. BEE brave. BEE you!! We love you take hold of our hands of friendship. You can make it thru. You will have a life again. Love BEE ... take care of my friend:flower3:

um - so like I had a lenghty talk with a trainer today. seems I might actually be not working out the right way and I might be hindering my own weight loss. I'll go monday for a meeting to find out what I need to do to get where I want to be...right now I am at 31 % body fat...I'd like it to be around 20% (i think) more when I find out what the deal is

Yay, switched our two nights to CSR after all. Queen of the vacation tweakers here.

So 560 from before, 500 from my chicken breast KFC meal and 40 from a half of a corn on the cob from DH's meal, so I am at 1100. I may have 1-2 pints of lite beer, so worst case for me is 1360.

Amber, I don't diet on vacation either, so I fully expect to come back from WDW a few lbs heavier. Also, I meant to post before on the support-underwear... I wear cheap walmart bike shorts under "jiggly" skirts and pants... cheaper than the support stuff and keeps everything where it belongs!

Harley, if you are working out wrong... please let us know what you are doing wrong in case one of us is too! I hope that they find the right workout for you.

299!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

booyaaa!!! WWOOOOHHOOTTTYYY
Hmmm Stella got her groove back.
Now let me see.. should I go to a paradise and spend my days in a soft and comfortable bed.. being... woooed... I wonder if that is in a vacation package I could purchase... Nice, hot young guy.. taking care of middle aged.. lonely woman.. lol.

Bet that would sell like HOTcakes...

Bee

my friend pays an absurd amount to et her hair washed...becasue mr hair washer supposedly has fantastic hands...whenasked how much she tips she says "if he does a good job I tip $5 if its borderline obscene I'll give him $10"
:lmao:

okay so what he(Mr trainer pro) is saying is that the strength training class I have been taking is actually building stamina instead of fat burning....he says maybe I should focus on major muscle groups once a week, thats just the beginning, and I am still not sure if he's just trying to get me to sign up for a personal trainer...but he seems to think he has ALL the answers. Its free. I'll go listen

Dene - pose this question to your Jay...see if he is in agreement. For fat reduction/weight loss is it better to do like one hard core weight set once week on certain target areas, or is it better to do like a strength/stamina weight program 2-3 times a week.

I love taking my Power class. But it sounds like I need to do this other and then revert back to Power when I get to my goal. I can feel taht I am very much stronger. But I am not slimming as much as I want...

Hi Peeps! I hope everyone had a nice day. :goodvibes I am still trying to kick the strep throat. I think it is better than it was but it is going really slowly. I won't be weighing in this week. Good luck to everyone who is. I will think skinny thoughts for all of you!:thumbsup2

Thank you!

I was begining to think nobody liked me because nobody was replying to any of my posts. :sad1:

Okay, enough of the pity party :rotfl2: ... Tonight we ordered pizza and I had 2 slices (Hawaiian BBQ Bacon pizza). Yummmy, but I could have done better. Both DH and I were pooped and didn't feel like cooking. :faint: But let me tell you, having a high fat dinner sapped my energy even more. I see now how eating healthier makes me feel good and eating bad makes me feel like crap.

Tomorrow, BACK ON TRACK! :yay:

Have a good night's rest everyone! :cloud9:
