Hi Peeps! I hope everyone had a good day. I am still sick. My fever finally broke today but my throat is so swollen! I will be out again tomorrow. I feel like all the weight I have lost is going to come right back on because the only thing I can really eat (and that sounds good) is ice cream and milkshakes. I know I should just be focusing on getting better but it does cross my mind.

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. I didn't quote but these are some things that I remember.

Eventer-A bee sting?!! Ouch!! My mom always put a baking soda and warm water paste on stings when I was little. It made them feel better.

Mary Jane crocs - I think someone here says that the bed of those crocs arent as thick as our ugly crocs - so not as comfy - have you checked out crocs.com - they have some cute styles new!! I am so addicted!!

I have been there. There are so many places to buy them though....I usually use shoebuy.com because they have free shipping and free return shipping, but they are out of the mary janes!

OCD here too...I like things nice and even as well. I would not be able to look at my child's shoes if they were like that. I would have to change them while they were sleeping and say that it's a rule for WDW that they have to be even. Evil future mom..I know!

I got stung by a bee tonight for the first time in my almost 31 years!! I had taken my fleece off to ride my horse and went to put it back on. YOWSERS!! A profanity came out of my mouth and my cell phone went flying. Sure enough, I took my arm out of the sleeve and my pal said it was def. a bee sting. That hurt!! But that's coming from Mrs. No Pain Tolerance so to you mommies I'm sure it's nothing!

OMG, did you throw out the cupcakes! I think that would have killed me And OUCH!!! I havent been stung in forever either (knock on wood) so I can only imagine how bad that hurt. Last tiem I was stung I was about 6 and sat on one. YOWZA!

i have the exact ones you're talking about. there's a pic of them in my TR (link in my siggie). i love them and they're comfy, but not near as comfy as my caymens. i looked on the website (crocs.com) and compared the two and it looks like the mary janes are missing the orthotic footbed. i still wear them alot, just not when i'm going to be on my feet ALL day. they're my AK day shoes!

I think I saw them there, and on princessv's too- she had the cute little flower jibit in hers I think. They seem so much cuter, but I love the comfy factor in the other kinds. I may have to wear them only for short times too, or change into or out of them after half the day.


Weird night around here. Really bad storm (up to 100 mile per hour winds) very scary. I have never been one to be afraid of that sort of thing, but I was tonight. I took DD into the closet actually with a candle for a little pretend camp-in. My entire living room, dining room and kitchen is windows...mostly floor to ceiling and the rain/wind was blowing sideways at them. Not fun. But all seems to be over for tonight, just rain now. The good thing is it kept me out of the kitchen tonight!

lunch-ww forzen lazagna florentine, side of TONS of broccoli (my new weird favorite food this week for some reason) and a roll.
dinner-ham and potato bake from the dinner prep place. I had to guesstimate the calories here because I threw out the bag with the label on it and it was way down in the trash where I wasnt going to go diving for it.
snacks-apple w/ff caramel dip, hostess 100 calorie cupcakes
Total:1569, well under my limit, so another good day here!

Off to watch my tivoed Idol. I can tell that I will most likely be happy with the results by reading here. I am a Blaker Girl and I think he is probably safe from the sounds of things

Hi everyone! I am still not sure how to quote numerous people so I'll just give shout outs...

Bee, I am so sorry for what you are going through. DH and I seperated after 8 months of being married, but a few months later we were able to work things out. We'll be celebrating 10 years next month. But I just wanted to say that I understand your pain.

eeyore, I did finish my paper, thank goodness. I got a B on it. I haven't gotten the grade for my final, though. I'm a little worried because it was pretty hard.

Okay, so last night I was so happy to be done with Spring semester, I sold my books and treated DH and I to Red Lobster. We got the Coconut Bay shrimp app to split, then I had a house salad, one biscuit, and I ordered the crab cake app for dinner and ate one of them. So I did pretty good, I think.

Didn't get a chance to exercise today. I had to do a little shopping for our trip. I got 2 shirts from K-Mart and a pair of body-shaping panties at Catherine's to go with my "jiggly pants". LOL I have jiggly hips that I'm self-conscious about, and these comfy capris don't do anything for my shape. So I bought the panties to help hold me in a little.

Then I went to my fave coffe shop and got a blended coffee drink with a small dallop of whipped cream. It was so good, though. It's called the Macaroon because it had vanilla and coconut flavored syrup in it. So I had a Healthy Choice meal for dinner.

Anyways, I have to get going. It's getting late here and I have to be up early for work tomorrow. I'll try to post a small bio about me this weekend.

I know I've been MIA for a few days. I've gotten some painting done but it's kind of been side tracked......

We found out on Mon eve that DH has to have back surgery. He started steriods today and he's feeling pretty yucky.

We took DD #2 out for an early b-day dinner last night. She wante japanese steakhouse. Mmmmmmm I love teppanyaki dinners. I bought more than half of my meal home to eat later.

I'm tired, need more sleep. Catch up with everyone later.

So I really paid for the martinis plus the creme brullee. I was nauseous for 2 hours.
Lying in the hotel bed not able to do anything but whine to myself.
It sucked.

That's why I sat in the lobby of the hotel until I sobered up Saturday night... Dene' does not "spin" well and she knew lying down would make the world spin.

Minnie, I am not far from UNC, although I am a Duk-ie (I guess, I think I am about to be throw out of my program, but that is another story!). The Outer Banks is beautiful.

Well, I think my DD is still a Wolverine at heart (University of Michigan undergrad), but she does love that Caroline basketball!!! I think it was eeyore/Sandy who said to try to salvage your semester with a deferment if you can. Maybe if you have a little break, you'll be able to finish up. I have a coworker who still kicks himself for not finishing his thesis and getting his Master's degree.

OT---Magical Express--do you tip anyone and if so who? We leave Saturday and I am just trying to finalize our budget. Thanks.

Yay, pigget! Your trip is just around the corner. I would only tip if the driver handled my bags or did something special. You can get on and off the bus and into the check-in line more quickly if you don't give the driver your carryable bags. One ME trip, the poor bus driver had to clean up a "protein spill" in the aisle before we could depart. If I were that kid's parent, I would have been tipping the driver big time

I should know better by now, right? I've had gastric bypass since 2/12, but I still do stupid things. I just hope it keeps making me sick so when I do bad, I have the negative effects immediately - instead of just weight gain later.
