HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWINKIE AND ANNNAN!!!!

:rockband: party: :bday: :jumping1: :cake:

Just read the last page and I don't have a dog so I can't sniff any doggie paws. But....my DH says my feet smell like corn chips! Now I am worried - I thought that was normal!:sad2:

My DH does Laser Hair Removal as a profession so I'd like to chime in here. LAser and electrolisis do the same thing-kill the hair follicles thereby stoppping the growth of new hair. Laser is quicker in that it covers more area in a treatment. Electrolosis will remove red, blonde and grey hair which you need a special laser to do so not all laser techs can do all colors of hair. Electrolosis is much more tedious and time consuming and because of that it is also much more expensive than laser hair removal. Is that all clear as mud?? Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

This is odd to me. Did anyone see the Today show this morning? You can also use lasers stimulate hair growth! So I guess it can do both :confused3

I just realized I am a "DIS Veteran"! :cool1:
When did that happen?!? :confused3

Guess I quietly hit 500 posts without noticing.
Well, WOOHOOTY for me!!!

WOOOHOOOTY

Sandy - your daughter is very cute!!!

My husband opened the refrigerator...then the cabinets last night and started:rotfl:laughing. He laughed, but thought it was a great idea. Doing ok today....could do better though.:rolleyes1

I missed something - what signs!? I might need them.

Here is the first picture that should of come up on my last post but did not. sorry

Wow!!! That is a huge difference!!! You look like 10 years younger!!!! You are beautiful. So how did you lose the weight (sorry if you already said this)!

Melinda - thanks for asking. I did go to bed shortly after church last night!

I OFFICIALLY SUCK AT DIETING!!! Can I say that word here? I need to go start a new thread: The Help I'm Eating and I Can't Stop Thread!!!! Honestly, I do not eat much as in large portions. It is the small bites of things I should not eat that are killing me! I know what to do, I'm just not doing it. And it is even harder to help my DD do it. I am having a hard time policing myself - much less trying to monitor her food intake! All the physical issues have not helped at all! I have been in such a weird funk for the last couple of months. I got down on the floor to try and do my exercises tonight and it made my hip worse, so I quit. Can't do the treadmill. I am beyond frustrated! Okay, my motivational speech is over. I know there are power in your words - so I will work on that tomorrow. Maybe I am just tired. Thanks for listening.

so i'm back from my body jam workout and it was AWESOME!!!!!! i sweated like a mad woman. my face was red. and now i stink (and not like doritos :lmao: ). but that's the point, right???

it was really fun. we did some indian dancing, some hip hop and some latin. i started taking dance classes when i was 4 and i've loved dancing ever since, so this is right up my alley and it's so good for me because i HATE cardio! by the way, i suck at the salsa. my feet don't move that fast. but it's still fun to try!

i'm really curious about my weigh-in tomorrow. i'm hoping that cardio tonight did me good!

by the way, bradford82, you don't even look like the same person!! that's incredible! :thumbsup2

I think I've finally caught up! I really had a good laugh about smelling dog's feet! I have a mini dachshund named Sophie, and her whole body spells like fritos! Even right after her bath, does make you wonder what those things are made of! That subject also reminded me of when my youngest Ethan was a baby, his poo smelled like unpoped mircrowave popcorn! I'm not kidding, when I told my dr that he looked at me like I had lost my mind, but what do you know, Ethan decided he needed to poop while we were there, and then the dr agreed with me. It took me years before I could eat microwave popcorn again!

I joined wieght watchers last May. I belong to a great group. It really helps. I also go to the gym alot. I hate it. I hate sweating, lifting wieghts, doing cardio. Basically I hate it all. Some of the guys are pretty cute:cool1: , okay I hate almost everything about the gym. I even hired a personal trainer, I really hate those workouts. But I like the changes in my body and mind. I like how I feel and I am not going to trade everything I have worked so hard for a freach fry. Maybe a doughnut:rotfl:

UUUGH!!!I just wrote a LOOONG post and somehow lost it.:scared:

Just catching up on todays posts.

dance2874 I appreciate all the advice I can get. We dont have a dance line at our school. My oldest (15)gave up cheerleading this year because she wanted to take more dance classes. She is wanting to try out for the Nutcracker this fall with our local community dancers. They do a production using local dance students and featured dancers from the Alabama Ballet. The competition is a separate class. With separate fees as well-:yay: This summer she wants to do a 3 week intensive for ballet and there are several studios that offer dance camps in our area. My youngest (10) likes dance but 3 hrs a week is stretching her- we will probably cut back next year- she would rather be reading a book than anything else I think- currently she is teaching herself French- dont ask me where I got a smart kid- I feel like Forrest Gump sometimes :lmao:
Sounds like the oldest is pretty serious. I would definitely encourage her to do a summer intensive. Those will pretty much test her will to keep going with it. And most of the good ones will sort of give her an idea of her potentional to be serious about it long term too. And definitely have her try out for the nutcracker at least. Every ballerina has to be in it at least once!

Dance? Someone mentioned kids and dance??? Here's my DD, she's in the middle I know I have a better picture somewhere... she took some time off to learn how to play saxaphone, I'm hoping to get her back in class - but only if she wants to!! She had so much fun dancing the hip hop, I reminded her about the Irish Step Dancing fun!!

I love irish dancing! She is so pretty!!

80 lbs makes a huge difference. I didn't realize until I saw these pictures side by side.

You looks like a totally different person! WOW!

Well, off to bed I think...have skinny dreams tonight everyone!

I'm +1 But Aunt Flo just arrived, so even tho I'm not happy, I can live with it.

HAPPY WEIGH IN DAY, PEEPS! :sunny:

Well, I had a fun night out with the girls last night. It's our once-a-month Thursday night. Came home around 10:30 and DS was asleep with DH in our bed. I lifted him and took him to his bed and as soon as I put him down there was a "wet cough".

GROSS OUT ALERT! :scared: MOTHERS, PROCEED....
He puked what appeared to be a poorly chewed steak dinner, a bowl of fruit loops, and a gallon of rancid been-sittin-in-the-sun-for-3-weeks milk. DH changed the sheets while I attended to DS in the bathroom. When I finally got the child to bed, I asked DH where the sheets were....in the basement next to the washer. What?!? He had just gathered up the sheets and dumped them in the floor?!? I brough them back up and rinsed them in the tub....and the contents clogged the drain. I won't even go into the smell....not like dogs feet.

Needless to say we were up several times last night and now I have to go to work to bake 65 quiches for the adult Sunday School Brunch on Sunday.

I will not be needing any more diet incintive than that memory today.

I BOOKED OUR DECEMBER TRIP. YEAHHHHHH.
YAY, Fran!!!
I OFFICIALLY SUCK AT DIETING!!!
:grouphug: You do not! You've had some bad breaks but you can do it! Glad you're getting some rest. ;)

BRADFORD....You look 20 years younger! Really! Way to go!

SANDY
....Love your cute little Irish dancer. She's a doll!

WHERE ARE FIDGE & DANIELLE???? Send out a search party!!!

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SENT IN THEIR BIRTHDAYS.
I love you guys that were all :scared: "I'm about to turn 30!" Had to laugh!!! 40 is so far in my rear view that I have to put on my bifocals to see it!

HAVE A GREAT PUKE-FREE DAY, EVERYONE! :flower3:

Good morning Melinda.
Hope you have a puke free day also! ewwww

Have a great weekend everyone!
-Michelle

Hi. Yes this is my 1st post for weigh - in...needed to get motivation and now jump in. I was in the Hospital for 5 days w/ food not so great and gaining water weight from all the fluid they were pumping in and...bed bootie. Ugh I hate being stationary!

So...that coupled with the fact that at approx. 10:30 last night I had a burger and some cheesy taters from BK w/ DS1 who just was getting done w/ Soccer...(yes I knew better... I just bought a scale @ Target before this and contemplated weighing in the parking lot before consuming...but that was cheating since it was before Midnight and I figured I could pay the piper today since I knew I would eat it. Aren't ya proud!! That may have been compounded by the fact DS1 said he would proceed to throw himself on the mercy of the court after throwing the beforenamed scale into oncoming traffic if I dared to open and place a new scale in a parking lot just to weigh less. I can't wait for his first stretch mark!!!!! Ha Ha! Actually he is really supportive but come on...I can so understand...a moment in sanity lapse of remembering the guidebook on "101 ways to make your Teen not want to choke you!)

So after much wordage that has little or zero to do with the scale...

I am down -3

Can you hear that...Rocky...Adrian...Yeah Baby!! Come give your Mama a kiss!!

I will say that this means w/ out BK I was probably down more but after this week! GOLDEN BABY>>>PURE GOLD!! Maybe it was all the sponge baths...hmmm..have to work on that this weekend! Yeah right...the only thing getting sponged at this homestead is the floors and toilets...and after all the paw talk...our dogs feet!!;)

Whoops + 1 That's after playing 18 holes and a long walk on Monday and another long walk on Wednesday but I have so needed Cadburys this week not sure why :confused3 Still no sign of my DSis baby, 8 days late now!
