HAPPY BIRTHDAY DISMOM!!!!
Hey! That's neat!! Well that place is pretty! Right now it is neat becuase they have all these things like miniature capitol building and white house and train village that is al lmade out of wood and plants!* Very cool!Oooo, I will!* I love to kick booty!
Hey!* I have Planters too!*
Good to know about the shoes!* Of the two, which were your favorites?
He is LOST, but going strong for the boys. Please continue to pray for them. I was not able to visit her earlier --he is hoping that I can go this weekend depending on how she is doing.
How is it that when little boys get a haircut they look so much older!! Joshua was in major need of one lilke a month overdue actually and now he looks do old and CUTE!!
He went to his Dr. today. I love his Dr. He doesn't believe Matt has pneumonia and thinks it's being over diagnosed. He believes Matt has an Asthmatic Bronchitis condition going on and he has an ear infection. The ER Dr. said there was fluid. No, it's infected. Dr. Gary, I'll call him, gave Matt prednisone, and inhaler, and told us to keep Matt on the New meds, (Z-pak or Zithromax).
I've already seen a difference. He's asked to eat twice!
I got myself all psyched up yesterday to go sign up at the gym, but first I had to do a load of laundry.......I fell down the stairs! So now I'm confined to bed because I can hardly move.![]()
Now I have to get myself convinced to go again on monday. I need someone to hold my hand. I have this secret fear that when I walk through the gym doors everyone will bust up laughing.
here's my tips. not many....it's saturday and my brain doesn't run full speed on weekends!
1. don't think of exercise as a chore. think of it as your "me" time.....the only hour out of the day where you don't have to deal with your spouse, your kids, your boss, bills, etc. just clear your mind and concentrate on your workout.
2. drink water. when you get sick of it, add a crystal lite (or fake crystal lite) pack and drink more!
3. fiber one bars are awesome if you're like me and sometimes need help in the potty department. i eat them when i don't have time to make breakfast.
4. when you need a potato chip fix, get some of those "quakes." they're mini rice cakes and the ranch-flavored ones rock!
5. if you lose at least 1 pound (or whatever weight you want to set) per week, reward yourself with a free day. on your free day don't eat everything in sight......just allow yourself something you don't normally have. for me it's sweet tea or a margarita and a break from writing down my calorie count for the day.
After weeks of not really training I was able to go 2.95 miles in 40:30!!!!![]()
And...............my knee has NO pain at all!! These new shoes are keepers!
I have to run 3.1 miles in less than 45 minutes. It is attainable now!
That is awesome. I wish my DH would change his mind, but it is Gatlinburg for us this summer and maybe 3 days at Orange Beach. He says our next Disney trip will be in '09. So until then we will rent out or DVC points and I will get to pay debt with that. SO I guess that is not a bad thing.
YES, Bonnie! I do! As I told Wendee yesterday, what woman could resist the knowledge, wisdom, and experience of a 100 year old man all wrapped up in a smokin hot 17 year old Greek-god package. BUT. I like my men warm. It's just a personal preference. AND. Knowing I could never get so much as a paper cut around his family would be a drawback too.(Disclaimer: I am only halfway through New Moon so I'm not sure how it all works out in the end.)
Wendee[/B]....I also love Alice! She's adorable! For a vampire.![]()
Gotta go get ready for church. May take longer since I have to "do hair".
HAVE A WONDERFUL & BLESSED SUNDAY, EVERYONE!![]()
Allie, thanks for the quote info, I'll try it next time - cant promise I wont blow my computer up trying though! A stone does sound like a lot, I kind of like it because it makes me want to lose it more!
I am in the east coast and it's 5:06 pm here. Oh I forgot to say about the stone thing, I need to lose a driveway![]()
We went into D.C. and went to some festivities at the Botanical Garden and then had lunch in Chinatown.* I had beef and broccoli (no rice). I am doing Atkins, so it isn't that bad except for the stinkin BROWN SAUCE over it!* It made me feel kinda icky, cause I do not want to stray from the plan.* But somehow, since it was kind of against my will (nice logic, huh?), it is not gonna make me spiral out of control!
More pixie dust needed in my family. I slept in a little this morning, so literally ran to church. I walked home at a slightly slower pace, and when I got to my front door, DH pulls the door open looking panicky. He tells me my sister has been admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. 5 years ago this week my dad got pneumonia, went into a coma and passed away. Last year, my mom went into the hospital with pneumonia this same week. Now my sister. It's just a little extra scary because of the experience w/ my dad.
Please pray for my sister. It was weird, because at church this morning, I was praying for her to find the strength to quit smoking. Assuming everything goes well in the hospital, maybe this is the kick in the pants she needs to quit.
i'm having an interesting TV night......ray keeps switching between iron chef america and american gladiators. so it goes from me drooling at the TV to watching the cheesiest thing i've ever seen!!!! are you guys watching american gladiators???? OMG......HOW HILARIOUS! that helga chick is SCARY!!!!![]()
DH is currently hooking up the Blu-ray player he insisted we should get.(It WAS a good deal at least.) And we have a little something waiting for us to install when we get back from Cali - a 26" flat panel TV for the dining-room-turned-exercise-room, where we will be adding a treadmill to the recumbent bike that is already in there!
We have to put away the Christmas decorations first though. Once we get the room finished, I'll photograph it so I can show you guys.
The party was sweet but sad. Everyone was upbeat and the little one had a blast. I met their nanny for the time being and she seems really nice. When we were leaving her DH walked us out and we talked some away from family. At TG she was well enough to get a day pass from the hospital so they had a make shift ramp for her to get the wheel chair inside. As were leaving the conversation started off with I guess I need to get rid of this board, since she probably won't be coming home. I already knew this from other sources, it was just very hard hearing it from him. We all teared up and he just said it so matter of factly. They are not continueing raditation and the chemo has stopped as well since she is having a lot of trouble swallowing. THey also got the dreaded news on Saturday that the Dr.'s do not reccommend physical therapy. I think that was one of the last hold outs on how she was doing. Just continue to pray there are always miracles, but if that is not the case that her DH will have strength to make it. I asked how the boys were handling things and he said they were doing well since it is so much a part of their routine---the 5 year old knows that mommmy is very, very sick and that she is not doing well.
How is it that kids pick the best time to get sick. I have been home for 2 weeks and this morning Joshua decides he does not want to go to school but to the Dr. instead. He has had a cold, but now his temp is 103.8. He jsut fell back to sleep. Today is my first day back, but no students. Instead I get to give a presentation at 8:00 to about 70 fellow teachers. I am not looking forward to this. Give me kids anyday, but my peers![]()
I actually have a new little boy starting today. We got to meet on Friday. He was so enthralled with the daycare. He doesn't speak much, his mom says he was evaluated and has autistic likes tendencies. He's 2 and is at a 6 month lever. I think he's adorable and I hope my plans will help him to communicate more. I use sign language with the kids. The hard part will be the one on one and group activities.
I just want to make him feel comfortable this week.
Can i just say that i am at the point of biting nails this morning...i found out they've been making decaf coffee at work, just "assumed" everyone was drinking it now. no wonder i've had friggin headaches. why is this a big deal? i have no idea, maybe my nerves are just sitting way to close to the surface today. or maybe its because i NEED to go workout early this morning. and cant go til later on tonight....
ok rant over. sorry! back to your normal day.
Thanks!Have fun at your new job.

LUCK!!! I hear ya..i am, along with almost all of the rest of us peepers are right there with ya!!! You have the right attitude!!Today is my day at least that is what I keep telling myself. It is the first day to the new me. I am ready to start this battle with my weight and have decided that I WILL WIN!!! Yes, it will be hard but I have the support of this wonderful group and of my DH--fyi he thinks he is fat--yeah right!!! We went shopping last night and got healthier choices for both of us and we also want to incorprate this into our children's lifestyle as well. I weighed on Saturday morning so I know where I am starting and I know where I want to end. I am doing a combination of WW and the calorie thing, but since I am still nursing I have to add an additional of at least 300 calories. Wish me luck.
Have a blessed day!!!!
Good luck with the new little guyI actually have a new little boy starting today. We got to meet on Friday. He was so enthralled with the daycare. Hey everyone it's Monday. Another week to get skinnie! Another week to meet your goals. Another week to seriously commit to a healthy YOU!
All aboard! The train is leaving and there's no turning back! WOOT WOOT!
Welcome Kelly, I'm Laura and I am married to Michael for 11 years. We have three kids, Christopher 8, Nicholas 6 and Elizabeth 25 months. I do WW too. I joined the peeps a couple of months and they are wonderful. Eygpt sounds great.
Ive been to Egypt one time before but to the Red Sea area, more relaxation that sightseeing, so Im really looking forward to this trip!
Im more motivated already reading through some (not all!) of the pages - shame its nearly time for me to go to bed!
:i think the U.S. east coast is 5 hours behind you. so right now it's 4:30 here and it should be around 9:30 p.m. there. then just take away an hour for every time zone here: central = 3:30; mountain = 2:30; pacific = 1:30.
Ah, that clears it up - all I knew was it was some time in the afternoon!![]()

RE: The casting for the movie....I hope they let "Cedric" keep his English accent and work that into the story somehow. The accent would make Edward even hotter IMHO. I also really like the girl cast as Bella. (Loved her in Zathura...one of DS's favorite movies.)
Wendee....I also love Alice! She's adorable! For a vampire.![]()
DAWN....Thanks for sharing your wedding pictures! You are absolutely radiant. AND you look exactly the same! How do you do that?
Danielle....WOOT! WOOT! ((raisin' the roof))
Celery....Skinny IS better than tipsy!![]()
I, too, had a date with Miss Clairol yesterday. DS was invited to go to the aquarium with a friend so I quickly whipped out the box of color I had at home and then went out to get my hair cut. Results from yesterday via my new web cam....

My husband & I may be going back to Disney World in June for our 10-year wedding anniversary!I'm so excited. It will be just the two of us.
No kids. Yay! We were planning to go to Gatlinburg, Tn but he said that if I would like to go back to the World for our anniversary than we could do that. It would only be June 18th-June 22nd but I'll gladly take it. Our anniversary is the 20th. Oh, and this time we will be flying. No road trip this go around.
I'll keep you posted.

How did it go with your new charge this morning? I have to give you a lot of credit for what you do. I am not sure I would have the patience. I would probably be hiding in the closet curled up in a fetal position. Don't get me wrong, I love kids but that many at once and by myself...scary!!
Good luck with the new little guy
So far so good today, went to Curves at 7 this morning and got weighed in ( SCARY>>>>can you say gained it all back!...ugh)..and now i am on a lunch break at work...the first day is going really well..i think i will be quite happy here!
Oh and YES my lunch is healthy and low cal..gotta be the BIGGEST LOSER and all!![]()
I'm an infomercial junkie! But only the household products. You know, cooking gadgets; new and improved products to strip layers upon layers of old paint and stains from furniture; tools to cut the time to paint a room in half; kits for making fake-yet-real-looking stained glass windows. I've been watching those since I was a kid. One of my guilty pleasures, I guess.Does anyone else LOVE infomercials and QVC/Home shopping shows???? I am so entertained by their sales techniques. I get a kick out of QVC's sales people becoming all chummy with their customers at home. VERY funny. NO, I don't buy stuff, except the one time with Bare Minerals (LOVE).
We found our wedding pictures this weekend that we thought had gotten lost during our move this summer, so I'll have to find one that I think looks ok and post it. But it was just 2.5 years ago, so no fun fashions from me.love the pic! you're sooooooo pretty! awhile back a bunch of peeps posted their wedding pics and it was pretty funny to see some of the hairdos and styles from the '70's and '80's!
How does Ray feel when you drool over those gladiators? And what were they making w/cheese on Iron Chef America?
So tommorow i FINALLY go back to a full time job!!

AMY!
OK Peeps...
I haven't been reading lately, but it's time I jump back on the wagon.
Exciting News!!!!!!!!
My husband & I may be going back to Disney World in June for our 10-year wedding anniversary!![]()
I've recommited too
Hi Peeps. I've been lurking and reading here but not posting as my weight challenge is less than stellar so I've got nothing to brag about out here.
