Did anybody else see the soup diet in this month's "Good Housekeeping" magazine? I'm thinking of trying it to give me a jump start.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. :goodvibes I know I haven't been around much in the last few weeks but hope to remedy that soon.

I gave myself a week off from dieting.......... bad mistake, I have to re-lose everything I worked so hard to lose in the first place.

I haven't been sleeping well so I'm rather out of sorts.

Anyway, thanks again; DH is pushing me to get ready for my birthday lunch.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF OUR OLDEST...NOT OLDEST....JUST BEEN AROUND THE LONGEST....OH, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN....MOUSEHOUSELOVER!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NONI!!!

OK, I am in on the Thanksgiving challenge too. I just don't know exactly how much I want to lose. I will after weigh in on Friday. It appears that I may have gained 10 lbs from WDW! :scared1: BUT AF is also here, so who knows. (It WAS more!) So, on Friday I will decide on the amount. I am thinking somewhere between 5 and 7 lbs. I am a bit frustrated right now, and I think this might be what I need to refocus and see some progress. I feel very much like I have been/am stuck in a rut. And I need to get out! I want results!

Tonight is agility class with Jasper. It's DH's turn to run her through the course, so I'll have to come up with something to do tonight for exercise. I'm not sure I feel like riding the bike, but I really should use the exercise ball. It's been ages since I've used that thing!

And I've been eating well, but I should start posting it again. Not sure when I'll be able to start doing it the way I used to, but I can tell you all now that my breakfast was Fiber One with a tiny bit of honey drizzled over it, a Fiber One bar, and a kiwi. And my lunch is leftovers from last night. DH made crab cakes! He's been wanting to try it since we returned from WDW, and he found a recipe where each one is 112 calories. They're small, but filling...and GOOD! :thumbsup2 And he made peach mango salsa to go with them! YUM! Not sure what dinner will be yet, but it WILL be good for me!

Lynda, I am right there with you on ALL respects... WDW put 9 lbs on (was more but settled out to 9), and I am having a LOT of trouble getting back on the wagon. I did okay last week but the weekend got me big-time.

I was hoping that it would get me refocused, as I still have a good 30 lbs to lose, but it seems to be pulling me off. Home and work aren't going so well either which isn't helping... I am turning to comfort food to make me feel better at night.

I need more accountability...

Oh Lynda,..you do not have to beg for readers! Your TRs are always so fun! And beautiful...I love reading my Fellow Peeps reports!
( SIde note:I will be doing shameless plugs once i finally begin my pre-trip ( and first report  for my upcoming Dec. Trip!) ;)

I hear that one. I am thisclose to seeing that dreaded 8 sneak back in on me...so i better get it together again this week!

Way to go...great self control! :thumbsup2

I was good food wise yesterday..however i DID have a small piece of apple pie..BUT i did take off all of the top crust, including the yummy end crust..sigh..and i paired it with Breyers Light Churned ice cream..WOW! That stuff is good 1/2 cup is only 100 calories..and it even has vanilla beans in it! WINNER!!!:goodvibes

I hope you don't see that 8! Also, I will 2nd the Breyers... they make a 100 cal cookies and cream that is to die for!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Yeah, I looked at that also. It's an idea for a "kick-start" that's for sure! :woohoo: I'll have to pull my Good Housekeeping back out to look at it again.

Hello Peeps!

Happy Tuesday, altough after my long weekend, today feels like Monday for me.

I'm struggling to get back on track after a weekend full of pizza (which I normally don't even like) WI DisneyFan's dreaded nemesis the ice cream birthday cake, one of MY nemeses - mozzarella sticks and a package of Yodels. You know, just to round it all out. :headache:

We always cheat on our birthdays, so I'm not feeling bad about that. It's just that when there's an extra cheat day, it makes it SO HARD to be good again.

I do it to myself. I know I do.

Not to mention that I think the most physical exertion I experienced this weekend, aside from washing the floors on Saturday morning, was jumping up and down with each touchdown the Pats scored over the Cowboys. :thumbsup2

I've also had ZERO motivation at the gym. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

I think I need to start changing, 'Back on Track' in my head.

We saw a Bally's Health and Fitness commercial on TV yesterday and I turned to BF and said (using my big, batting eyelashes technique):

"Honey, can't I just find this nice lady, cut off her head and have mine transplanted on her body? Please?"

Oh, and whoever named fountain Pepsi on their Top 3 list...ditto...only replace the Pepsi with Coke. There's nothing quite like fountain soda. I had that too this weekend, as a treat. I hadn't had it in so long.

And my lunch is leftovers from last night. DH made crab cakes! He's been wanting to try it since we returned from WDW, and he found a recipe where each one is 112 calories. Those crabcakes sounds terrific..i would love the recipe ...:rolleyes1

YAY for the Pats!!! Those red sox are killing me KILLING me..as always.
And i third the vote on fountain soda..i like rootbeer myself! Luckily there are a few good diet rootbeers out there...but nothing like a frosty one straight from the tap.mmmm mmm good.

I just need a nap- then maybe I can get some motivation going!

I had a restless 3 year old kicking me and coughing alllll night last night. :headache:

I cut some cute long bangs on Norah (DD3) and then she shmeared a tube of NeoSporin alllll through her hair. It's like Vaseline! So it's been shampooed with DAWN a total of 11 times and it's a little better. :sad2: Maybe she'll be french braided for a few days? Or a hat? Geeez, Neosporin is HARD to remove from hair. GRRRR!
I laid down a quilt on the kitchen counter and made a towel pillow and we played "salon" which is our favorite game. 11 times of working DAWN gently through her hair. It removes oil from ducks.

I can probably arrange that! ;) I'll have to ask DH where he found it, and then I'll link it or post it here.

OMG! I bet Norah looks CUTE with bangs, but that Neosporin HAS to be difficult to get out of hair! Gosh, I can't think of a thing that should work better than Dawn. Like you said, it removes oil from ducks!

Try using a clarifying shampoo... they are made to completely strip product build up from hair, so I imagine you could have some luck with Neosporin...??? :lmao:

(Sorry to laugh, but I can just imagine what Neosporin looks like in her hair...)

Dish detergent, while it DOES cut grease, it can also have moisturizers in it, because it's intended to be gentle on your hands. So, if you use a tiny bit of clarifying shampoo and follow-up with a gentle, moisturizing shampoo, maybe that will work???

Wait... I just remembered... Didn't I read waaaaaayyyyy back a few thousand pages that you are a cosmetologist??? In that case... I will keep my advice to myself... no need to advise the expert... :thumbsup2

Hee Hee- I retired 3 years ago when she was born. I want to go into esthetics when she goes to Full Time school in 1st grade (in 3 years). I was meant to work in a de-luxe day spa and get tipped big from the rich Utah ladies. :cloud9:

I do have some Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three that is clarifying, I think? After 11 bouts with DAWN, it looks ok pulled up. Her bangs keep making me declare, "Ohhhh baby girl, you are just so cute!" to which she sits or stands a little straighter. I'm creating a monster, I know!

I bet she does look super cute! I think you need to share the cuteness with a picture..just saying..:rolleyes1

I've been trying to get over here to post for days. How do you do it????

I've got the disney bug and been pricing trips all morning. Well, here and there that is.

It's cause of all those awesome TR's out there.

Hope your having a great birthday Noni.

I'm enjoying Lynda's Trip Report and reading about Melinda. Actually she's been popping up in several TR's. Lots of disers are being "talked" about. It's fun when we can read about people we "know".

You would be great in a fancy-shmancy salon catering to the whims of the rich & famous! ;) You'd be Mahvelous, Dahling!!! :flower3:

As for Princess Nora, neosporin is horrendous to get out of hair! :scared1: Good Luck! And I am sure she is absolutely adorable with her bangs pulled back, with that precious little face glowing! :cutie: (Or is that neosporin on her cheeks too?!? :rotfl: )

I  to read about fellow Peeps I "know"! It makes the TR much more interesting! I am happy that so many are sharing their TR's with those of us who couldn't make WDW during the Peep Meet. It almost feels like I was there!!! <sigh>:upsidedow

I just have to  at this because I used to hate hate hate root beer, but the other day I actually had a craving for it. I was being naughty so I got regular, not diet, and now I am obsessed with it and want to drink it all the time! Although I was good and bought a 12-pk of diet mug root beer this weekend. And it's caffeine free!
