Coincidentally my family and I are headed there in a few weeks. We bought our family of 5 all 5 day multi park passes, including EPIC. So yesterday I realized I wanted to add 2 more days and I didn't see any way to build my trip. I figured I was doing something wrong so I called customer service to see if they have any add on features where I could maybe add 2 single park days at the multi day price, as in 5 days multi park but 2 extra days maybe only single park tickets for IOA or Universal alone. I was told no such thing is around yet and to add 2 days would mean I'd need to buy them from scratch and pay the one or two day prices. This makes the extra days competitive with WDW or Sea World so the policy is making other parks look more enticing for the extra days, I said as much on the line with their guest service people and moved on to consider where else to go. We are a 10 day trip family meaning no parks on travel days, usually a buffer day for bad weather and then 7 days in parks. Now that I saw this article I'm thinking maybe they should work out a path to week long tickets before the ad campaign, seems they skipped a step...

Universal has been a weeklong destination for me for many years now - but I also go at HHN\Mardi Gras when there are extra activities. I usually do 10 days and take it easy. With all the price increases on food though - that's getting to be more difficult.

AP has been the way to go - BUT they need to offer better deals to Epic for AP holders and for Credit Card holders. I get a 1 day ticket from the CC but its only good at IOA\US - so basically worthless for AP holders and I've discussed it with them and they just don't care. Universal says to the the CC people and the CC people day talk to Universal.

Yes they are doing lots of good things for AP holders and yes the AP and room discounts is a good deal - but if I was going for a week I think a 7 day ticket that includes Epic might be preferable even if it costs a bit more. 2 days at Epic for an AP holder it about $280-300. A 7 day to all the parks is $650. The CC gets me the 10% food discounts already.

I just got the Universal Rewards card in the mail this week specifically for the 10% off. It costs $99 a year but after I spend $500 I get $250 back which covers the annual fee plus I wanted to see what the lounge is like because I'm nosey like that. Time will tell if I keep it or not.

I'm not so sure that extra ticket is going to have much value for me the way the tickets are set up. Since you have the free ticket may I ask how does it work? Does it have an expiration date?

When we booked our vacation package for this March it had a 14 day option which was only slightly more then the 5 day. Looks like there is a 6 and 7 day option on packages now. We have never gone to Orlando and not done Disney but I am looking forward to this being a fully Universal week long trip and being able to take our time.

Same, also looking to take it slow. Last time we did a new park it was Animal Kingdom and it took us 3 years to get through it, the first 2 years on multiple days we walked in and the place was so congested in the Oasis area we just abandoned the place, learned my lesson. The plan is keep expectations on a short leash, try to explore and do 1 or 2 rides a day and use multi-park feature to escape to the other parks if it gets swarmed or should I say when it gets swarmed. Hope springs eternal

The lounge is pretty basic - but its nice to take a break. they have two types of breakfast bars (strawberry and apple cinnamon) as well as baked lays potato chips and sun chips.

They also have small bottles of refrigerated filtered water and clean bathrooms.

As for the ticket - its all handled on line and you have to pic a date to use it.
I did that and then tried to swap it for a credit to epic in park- but they could not do it.
I did not use the ticket and it was credited back to my account since I did not use it on the day I had picked.

Looks like it is good for 1 year plus the rest of the 12th month.
So if it was issue4 on 2/14/2026 for example it would be good till 2/28/2027.
In that example you could get a ticket for any day until 3/1/2027.

As I said if you have an AP its not much use unless you issue it for a friend. It cant be upgraded as it has no value as far as Universal is concerned.

Can a Universal Rewards Card free ticket be gifted to a spouse or child or friend? As in, would it be possible to save one ticket that extra month and gift it to a companion so when you get the next years ticket you can take someone? It seems like this is one of those things where you don't get the details until it is in your hands,

With the lounge they only permit 4 people total and have no way to accept an extra party fee like $5-$10 to bring in other family members. We are a family of 4 and DD is bringing her BF so as 5 are people really expected to tell other family members to wait outside? I'd be ok paying a small fee for extra family members, I hope they rethink the policy since it is a small comfort, it's not like you can get lunch in there - it just feels stingy to prohibit more for a bigger family.

Just got off phone. Added one more day (Saturday) to my existing 5-day hopper pkg for two (2) adults. Added cost about $42.
We are doing 5 1/2 days and worked out the tickets for 6 days before they came out with 6 and 7 day tickets, !!!
I don't want to go through the long phone calls and haggle to change anything as I think we got a really good deal the way it is. I do have to call Universal about another situation and I know I will be on the phone for an hour or so, Ick.!
