I would love to be able to afford to rent a house. 1BR apartments around here run about $800-1400 so renting a house would be well out of our price range. Right now our goal is to keep it under $1000 a month. thanks for the suggested and the hugs for my grandma! We rented a huge, yet rundown house, for cheaper then a complex. You're right about the in-house apts. being small. Look at renting a whole house. The one we had even had a fenced in yard.
Sorry about your gma's dog. My dog was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago and only lived a few months. She was 6. Very hard. I also didn't do chemo b/c it would have only prolonged her life 6 months and I would have had to drive quite far to do it...and she got very stressed in the car. Hugs for your gma, and you too!![]()

Whoa what a day...I'm just now getting around to checking email and checking on my peeps. I didn't get a chance to go back and read all the new stuff but I did want to update you all on my mom.
She went to the orthopedic MD today who said that she may need surgery to have a pin put in and he recommended her to a hand specialist. She has an appt tomorrow morning so I'm going to go with her. She never remembers anything on a normal basis so when you are anxious about medical stuff, she really won't remember anything the Dr says. Please send pixie dust that she doesn't need surgery and that they don't have to hurt her too much (i.e. setting it or something). Thanks Peeps!
A little magic for your mom...
those are great! Your daughter is beatiful ....all of you look so happy !
There was a Rabbi conducting the ceremony, with a cantor chanting through much of it. They were married under a chuppah (huppah) and it was at 7pm, so it was sort of dusk. Unfortunately we had to go down steep steps and the Mother of the Groom and I almost fell! I slid on the wooden part of the step and I think she tripped. (Luckily, neither one of us actually fell!
) Other than that, everything went very well.
How did I miss that? I hope someone at the wedding took a picture of it.
Lots of water, exercise and eating healthy food will help that!
I'm sure the kids will come and we'll set up tents for them to sleep over!! I've got a chocolate fountain!!
) Anyway, things are good I guess. We've been talking a lot on the phone about school and non-school related things this past week. He's initiated the calling himself about 85% of the time too which is promising. We talk, we flirt. I'm hoping to get a date out of him sometime soon. We sort of had an inside little joke and I left him something in his student mailbox last night after class and he called me to tell me how hilarious he thought it was. So we last spoke last night.
i gotta put an ice pack on it tonight because he said it would be sore and then i'd feel better tomorrow.
(LOL!!!! I'd SO scare him away!)
I haven't asked him yet actually. To be honest, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed myself this week with my new internship and classes...so going away for a weekend isn't sounding like the best idea right now. Ironic huh?
