DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

Hi Peeps! :)

I missed you all this weekend, but we had a lovely time in Door County, WI. I will post pics later. I have to get some stuff moved over to the external hard drive first. The weather was downright chilly - 65-70 degrees most of the time. And of course, lake breezes. The sky was grey most of the time too, but we shopped the local shops, relaxed in the suite, went to some parks, played mini golf at Pirate's Cove, and ate - a lot! And tasted a lot of wine! We brought home a case of wine. (Only drink on cheat days Lynda!) I did get a few things at the confectionary, but I finished most of that. Cherries are their big thing up there, and most of the edibile things I brought home aren't so bad - cherry/chocolate popcorn, dried cherries, chocolate covered dried cherries (dark and milk), cherry salsa, a cherry balsamic sauce. I also got a chipotle bean dip. There is still some cherry wine fudge (:cloud9: , and I'm not even a fudge-lover), and DH got a cherry brownie mix (not TOO awful at 118 calories per brownie) and a raspberry french toast mix (I'll have to restrict to cheat days). There's also a cherry wine cheese spread that's YUMMY, but will also have to be restricted to cheat days. I'll be back on the wagon tomorrow, hoping not to have done too much damage, but I'm a little scared to see what the scale says. :scared: We did do a LOT of walking, so I hope that helped.

I have tons of work to do - unpacking, laundry, and back to wedding picture editing work.

So, can someone fill me in on what I missed around here since I haven't been on since Friday?

 and :wizard: to those who need them!

It's Sunday the 23rd at 5 but we are meeting around 4 for a picture I think. A lot of people have canceled since Aries made the ADR so I am sure there is room for you!!! :thumbsup2

It sounds so fun but Sundays definitely wouldn't work. I'd have to stay overnight and Mondays I have school/internship. Is there anything special happening on that Saturday?

Sounds fun! I love chocolate covered cherries (like the Harry and David kind...YUM!). I have a yummy recipe for chocolate cherry brownies with a cherry marshmallow frosting. They are awesome and easy. If anyone is interested.

mix together and freeze for 3-4 hours

makes likes a sorbet

I guess you can use any flavor:confused3

Fellow Disney-obsessed-friends-with-a-few-pounds-to-lose, is it too late to join the (completely hilarious) party? I'm a mom of two who is trying to lose, let us say, 30 or so pounds gained while growing those babies. I know what I SHOULD do but need some help beyond "eat less, exercise more." My mother's nutritionist friend says you can live indefinitely on a quart of milk, a bran tab, and a multi-vitamin daily. Please don't make me do that! My weaknesses are many but the worst are chocolate-covered pretzels and soda: full-strength Pepsi, from the fountain not the bottle. Any suggestions? What are the 5 best things you've done to lose weight?

My next WDW trip is in Feb. 2008 so I'd better get moving (literally!)

I love this thread and am catching up slowly. Many advance thank-yous and hellos!

Welcome abish! No rules here, just support. We do Friday weighins, you only have to post the difference from last week (in big red letters so it can be tallied), and not your actual weight if you don't want to!

I do calorie counting, some here do South Beach or WW. My formula is to stay around 1200 cals most days, and have a cheat day every week or two. I am also former lazy-girl turned exercise fiend (took 7 mos!).

Sorry I have been MIA the last few days, work has been nuts. to everyone that needs them, and pixie dust, and congrats... I skimmed through what I had missed but most of it has fallen out of the other side of my head. :guilty:

I have done pretty well yesterday and today after falling off the wagon. I found a Hungry Man chicken and cheese fries dinner today that is only 540 calories and super, super yummy. It has lots of fat but still, worth it for dinner if you have a cheese fry craving.

I wanted to share some pics from my daughters wedding this past Sat. Hope you enjoy them!
Beautiful pictures! Glad it went well!

Glad to have you join us! I don't know if I can think of five...

1) Replace coke with water - except I have one almost every day, but I used to have probably 6 on a lot of days. I didn't like water but after drinking it pretty regularly I almost like it now and sometimes would choose instead of coke.

2) I really think weight training is so important. I feel good about building some muscle plus all those things like it is good for your bones, etc.

3) Make little changes that you can live with forever not big sweeping changes all at once that you're going to struggle against and then quit.

4) LOL! I may get to five yet! Start now! Or start over again now! Don't wait for tomorrow or Monday. Or if you mess up one meal or one morning don't give up on the whole day. Compensate by eating a super good supper or drinking only water for the rest of the day - as soon as you realize what you've been doing.

ok - I thought of 5) Treat yourself sometimes! You can't and shouldn't give up everything you enjoy eating forever.
You can accomplish a lot between now and February!

I said a couple of weeks ago my grandmama wasn't doing great. She did die on Sunday and so we had the funeral today. We said it was a long day as they tend to be but it was good. We had a good visit with family we don't get to see often. And knowing she had been doing well until recently and she slipped away peacefully makes it easy to know she's better off.

Wishing everyone a good tomorrow!

Thank YOU! I have such a sweet tooth right now! This looks good!
Does it mean 1 TUB of crystal Lite? Or one little pkt. you would add to bottle water? I'll assume tub.

Oh Ya, I'm planning on being there! It's being held at POP by the Hippy Dippy (???) on the 22nd of Sept. We'll just barely be arriving at around 8pm so we're bringing our glow sticks!!! I think it's going on till LATE.

Please come and play with a HUGE group of DISsers!

Wanna see what I've been up to?

My new hobby is sewing. I just re-taught myself after a 25 year break (since high school!)

My latest is Alice for our breakfast at 1900 Park Fare (those are the new Mary Jane style CROCS called "Alice" with one jibbit hole. She never takes them off. Perfect for church too!

This is for Epcot- World Showcase day: (nice bruises, Graceful McClutzee!)

This is for seeing Ariel? Haven't decided yet!

Here is the outfit for the Halloween party day before she changes into her costume, which is a witch (not this) Behold, The Twirl Skirt!

Oh, and I have other kids too. The boys wouldn't be caught DEAD in a homespun mama-made piece of clothing so I just made sleep pants for them (super easy!) Note the freshly bathed look for your smelling pleasure (scratch and sniff):

:grouphug: for you and yours. Sorry about your loss, but I know what you mean about the visiting with family. Why do we wait for these sad occasions to get together?

Wanna see what I've been up to?
I love the pictures. The clothes are great, and your kids are as adorable as ever.

Mom was supposed to move to the nursing home from the hospital today, but they're keeping her one more night because she was acting loopy last night. It turns out they gave her vicodin for her pain, and it makes her nutty. I spent the day with her, then when my sister came at 5, DH and I went shopping for my classroom, then I took DD to Office Max for her school supplies. I squeezed in 1/2 hr. of exercise again, but the eating was semi-bad. I'm beat right now, so I'm hopping into the hot tub with DH, then off to bed.

Okay - Alice is absolutely perfect! I love it! The rest are cute as well. I've been making my way thru the boutique board per your suggestion. Can't sew worth a hoot! But I love the cute clothes!

Thanks for your support - sorry you're struggling as well! I've never lived near my extended family, but I'm always just the littlest bit surprised at how much I enjoy visiting with them. And leave thinking we'll do better.

Thank You!!!

Ann and Dweatl:  So sorry!

I just caved at 11:15! I wasn't going to eat anything, but I ended up making some diet micro wave popcorn. DANG, eating late at night is so hard fo rme to quit! Usually its 2-3 pieces of TOAST, so the diet popcorn is a little better. But the SALT! :sad2:

I was really hungry! Now I feel lots better physically but bummed. I did really well today other than that! Lots of energy, which was nice!

Good night friends!!! Thank You for having me back!

Stopping in for a fly by---

UTAH----alll of those are AWESOME----wish I could do that.

Have a great day everyone:cool1: :thumbsup2

OMG, I love them all. Amanda has been wanting an Alice costume but they never sell them anywhere. May have to try my hand at that. I love the mickey and ariel ones too! I actually own a sewing machine and my mom has shown me how to use it....3 times....but I am never brave enough to really try anything major.

WELCOME WELCOME and I think you should know the more you post, the more time you spend Dis'ing the less time you should be eating - so one rule...
1. Drink only water while Dising
2. Walk 30 min EVERY dang day! (easier said than done!)
3. Do crunches and strength training, get 5# weights at WalMart and use them every other day!
4. Eat Less
5. NO NEGATIVE Self talk!! (another one easier said than done!)

What about you? Tell us about you too when you feel comfortable!!

ok -

Hi Peeps! :)

2. EXERCISE - 4-6 days a week i try and do at least 30 min. cardio. i do "remidial" ab work every other day
3. PORTIONS- make sure i am hungry before i go for more, always count my portioned snacks ( i.e. red.fat chips, ted d grahams..etc)

30 Days I have been calling daily, sometimes twice daily to change the adrs - NO GO _ - Peeps its going to be so crowded!! All the resorts are posting full - NO VACANCY - its going to be crowded. I just pray no hurricanes!!

Sandy, I went last September during free dining and the value resorts (or at least the bus lines) and restaurants were on the full side, but the parks were empty. Like, walk right onto Soarin' empty. I should take a pic of our video from Main St where I swear there are like 10 people.

Don't forget about all the offsite people you get in the summer that are likely not going to be around... I think that DIS gets all excited about free dining and it makes it seem like the parks will be crowded. Hopefully I am right!

I called yesterday for our Sat night reservation (the 15th) and I had my pick of the mods, although no king rooms, and at the AP rate. I could choose any deluxe (didn't) or DVC studio at the AP rate, which is $160, so I did that. Right now we are at SSR because the CM screwed up, so I am going to call today and try to change it to OKW.

I am being brave today... wearing thin pants, khaki, on a right-in-the-middle-of-AF day!
