Good morning!
I was invited to check out this thread and told it was okay to join.
hug: Thanks, Dene’.) I do hope you all don't mind.
My name is Diane, I'm from Texas, and weight has been a struggle for me all my life. Eleven weeks ago I decided to re-join Weight Watchers for the ump-teenth time.
Yet, in some indescribable way, this time really IS different. My attitude is different, and I truly want to see my goal weight for the first time in 39 years!
(BTW, that's my age.)
I have been taking Alli since it became available on the store shelves.
I have never used drugs in my weight loss efforts before, but at the time I chose to “give it a try” I felt as if I had reached the point of being scary overweight. (320, and I'm only 5'2"!
) I needed a major jump start, and it seems that Alli is doing that for me. Right now I am choosing not to worry about the possibility of health risks that may or may not be linked to Alli in the future. My plan is to stay positive and focused on my goal. So far I’ve lost 37 pounds.
I still have at least 148 more to go, and eventually, I will ditch it all.
Today is weigh-in day, and as usual, I’m nervous.
I do not step on the scale between WW meetings, so there is a surprise in store for me every Tuesday. Right now I’m using “mental rehearsing” to prepare for a gain. If this happens, it is not because of my food choices. I added weight training to my exercise program this week, and I know that muscle weighs more than fat and all that jazz.
Anyway, I look forward to getting to know all of you, and to becoming just another one of your many "disappearing peeps!"
