So, I was productive tonight! I came home from work, did 3 loads of laundry, made pooh: muffins, and cleaned the bathrooms. pooh: muffins - :thumbsup2

I just have to say I laughed when I forst read this because it sounds like the Pooh muffins led to you having to clean the bathrooms:lmao:

I just posted my 3,000th post on the OpenMic thread! It was a super lame one so I had to go back and make it a party!

So this is my 3,001 th post!!!! Ya'll have a WoooHoooty on ME!!!!!

WOOOO HOOOOTY!!!!!!

There! Good Night Skinny Minnies!!!!!

WooooooHooooty:woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

By the way, the word of choice in our house is frak!

Do I detect a bit of Battlestar Gallactica? :upsidedow

Anyways, he asked me if I got a lot of beads. I said, not, but my girls did. He looked at me, cracked up laughing :rotfl2: , and said "well it usually is the "girls" :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc that get the beads."

:lmao:

What are hermits? :confused3

Darn... there goes my crack about creepy old men with beards livin' in the mountains

Happy Birthday Jo!:mickeyjum :stitch: :simba: :tigger: :ccat: :goofy: :donald:

Eeyore, thanks for your encouragement! We wuvs ya!!!

Also good is the spice cake w/raisins or crasins and walnuts (optional) and can of pumpkin. I mix it up and drop spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 375 for 20 mins or until brown. Taste like hermits. Not pretty to look at but very good.
What size is the can of pumpkin that you add? I made a "dump" cake a few weeks ago and used the larger size can of pumpkin and it didn't seem like it turned out right ate a couple pieces, decided it was yucko, and threw the rest out). Also, just want to verify that you add no eggs, oil, etc., just the pumpkin for moisture.

:grouphug: :thumbsup2  pixiedust: :yay: As Grammy would say on the Open Mike thread, take what you need!

WOOOOO HOOOOOTY, Uma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All caught up now! Yippee!!!!!

Can someone post the zero pt soup recipe again? I wish there was a way to catalog these recipes. Could we make a list of recipes and the page they can be found on and edit it into Wendy's first page?

I like the idea of having a place for our recipes. I know there's a thread somewhere..... We can create our own if we want or just go to Sandy's yahoo group, that's why she put it together. She wanted a place to put bios and recipes and such.

Hey Peeps,
Tuesdays are nuts for me - I go from about 9:30 all the way to 9pm with school/clients/paperwork. I hate the real world. Tomorrow will be just as busy and Thursday will be busy as well until the evening. Then Friday I get to spend all day writing treatment plans and soap notes, but at least I can do all that from my home. I hate driving down to the clinic everyday.

THursdays are my hard day since we have a staff meeting that takes up 2 hrs. I really wish I could write tx plans and soap notes from home but everythng is computerized and networked in house. I don't have the software at home so I can't work at home.

Yet, my insecurities always crept in, so I just hope any reader, joiner, loner here steps up and posts, just start talking, blog, confess,

You Matter!!! :grouphug:

I second, or maybe third that statement. Everyone is important here. I too felt like a thread killer and some of my posts on other sites don't get any replies even though I've been a member a long time, so I too feel less valuable. Let's face it ladies, we are reaching out for help and support here and even though we aren't in the same situations, we all know what the struggle is and deal with the same bumpy road that knocks up off the wagon from time to time.

We are just dealing with preschool, but here it is really competitve and no matter which school I choose she still may not end up in the best place for her. Her 'issue' is that she is actually too bright for her age group. She misses the kindergarten cuttoff this year, but not by much, so I am really having a hard time finding a good place to send her we can afford. If I pick the 'cheaper' place, she may be more bored but it is longer hours to prepare her for real school. If I choose the more expensive place, the hours are short and she may not even get in! Registration starts at 9 and I am headed there now to get in line. It is like waiting for concert tickets or something!:rotfl:

That's why I am so thankful for the opportunity and ablity to homeschool. I can taylor each child's education and we have so much flexibility.

Your version sounds like 0 points to me. Not much different from the original recipe.

Thanks, that's what I thought but it always helps to get confirmation. At any rate, counting it as 1 pt/cup isn't too damaging.

Question????
How many of you are coffee drinkers and how much do you drink a day, how do you like it (Cream, Splenda, ff creamer, sugar...)decaf, real???

Thanks for your opinions and answers!!!

I was reading something a few weeks ago about the things dieters need to stay away from and coffee was on the list. So was cheese and soda. I quit drinking coffee and I'm losing wt again. I can't say there was a relationship but anything that improves my diet and overall health is a good change.

OK ladies, I have a story to tell you...

There is a princess princess: who works in an office that is located in a mall that is practically desserted - just a few stores left. Most of the stores involve food, so the princess stays in her office so that she is not tempted by said tasty treats. One of the stores has three sections - a kids' toys section, an art supply/home decor section, and a fancy foods section. The fancy foods section includes some healthy items, but also has LARGE, DELICIOUS, cookies! The princess hasn't set foot in that store for months! The princess's boss, however, often gets lunch from this store and decided one day (a day very much like today ;)) to get cookies for all of her staff. The EVIL boss (not really evil at all, but maybe possessed for a moment) selected sugar cookies with dried cherries in them and placed one with a napkin on each of her employee's desks, including the princess's. Now, the princess didn't know what to do. She was watching what she ate, so she wasn't sure if she should eat the cookie, but it was a gift from her boss...neatly placed on her desk upon a paper napkin. And she had tried the same cookie before, months ago (also thanks to her boss), and it was good. The princess turned to the internet and looked up calorie counts for similar cookies, and decided to eat the cookie and make up for it at dinner time! :scared1: :rotfl:

Cute story. Hope the cookie was worth the dinnertime adjustment.

Hormones.... at TEN!! I will never survive her teenage years!! :scared:

I feel ya! We've had mood swings here for a couple of years. I swore DD#1 wasn't going to make it to 13.

By the way, the word of choice in our house is frak!

One of my favorite fuzzheads :cat: is named Frak. He and his brother Frik were abandoned where I used to work and I brought them home as foster pets but they cuddled up to Dh and he decided to make them part of the family.

So I was talking to my boss today about our trip to Gasparilla this last weekend. If you don't know about it, the pirates pirate: invade Tampa and for some reason they bring lots of beads to throw from floats in a parade...not sure how that works into it, but it's fun!

Anyways, he asked me if I got a lot of beads. I said, not, but my girls did. He looked at me, cracked up laughing :rotfl2: , and said "well it usually is the "girls" :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc that get the beads."

I just shook my head :sad2: and rolled my eyes  and said "I meant my daughter and her friend". What a goober!

I have one of those bosses too.... He actually told us he hates Halloween but asked why I didn't wear my :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc up to my chin everyday like I did for my costume.

:grouphug: to Winkers and Pigget. Y'all are in my thoughts.

UTM~ WOOO HOOOOTY!!!!!!! 3000.......that's fantastic!!!!

My day today wasn't too bad. I got in the daily riddle first thing this morning and got the woo hooty there tonight.

I ate well and stayed with in points today. I got to the end of the day and I wasn't hungry! I even had a WW chocolate cake. I even had 3 liters (100 oz) of water today. I hope I'm back to my pre-WDW weight this week.

I get to go to work late in the morning. :yay: I might get the chance to check in before I go.

Do I detect a bit of Battlestar Gallactica? :upsidedow

I forgot about that.....and we watch every episode at least twice.......LOL

Also forgot:

Sandy~ We love Top Chef too. I thought it was good this season but not as good as the first one.

And last but most certianl not the least:

Happy Birthday Jo! Have a great day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JO!!

WOOOOHOOOOTY, WENDY!!!! You officially have a lot to say!! :thumbsup2

Winkers - You and your family our in my prayers.

No wonder your DH was cranky tonight, Stacey! He was probably expecting some pampering tonight!!!

I know my DH would have grumped at me.

Hang in there!

Thanks, Cheryl! What kind of pampering? He has a prostate infection! :rotfl:

Stacey.....I have to be on Facebook because I work with college students but the creepy proposition was sorta......ewww. I clearly state on my profile that I am married and that my hobbies are raising kids and doing church work! Please?!? I don't think that makes me sounds like a very good prospect.

I am a registered user on MySpace as well. I like to know what the kids are up to and the only way I can access profiles etc is to be a registered user. (BTW our youth minister networks with the kids in the youth via MySpace.) Anyway....these days everybody has to be set to "private".

So glad your hip is better! DH has a prostate infection and divirticulitis? Wow! Hope he feels better soon too! Also I did not get your "message"! Where do these messages go???

EVERONE....I will just randomly keep adding you all to my network since no one can reach me in Private-land. If you get a message from me...please add me. I'm wearing Jean Nate so I smell better now.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

I am working on a Myspace. I have just gotten pretty good at text messaging. All this technology! No one got my trivia question! "Yes, I love technology, but not as much as you and me..." In what movie was this song sung at a wedding? DH is doing better. My hip is giving me no problems now.

FIDGE Check in please!!!

I tried joining a "popular" thread on the Community Board, and always felt invisible, it was more from "my" mind than reality - they were warm and inviting, just ask UtahwendyMama - she was on that thread!!

Yet, my insecurities always crept in, so I just hope any reader, joiner, loner here steps up and posts, just start talking, blog, confess,

You Matter!!!

I have felt this way too. That is why I like it here!

I still need to catch up. But I'm in a smidge of a panic. I got on the scale as I occasionally do, and it said +3 :scared: By now I know not to panic, because that's what I'd tell you guys if it happened to one of you. But still! I really need to be more mindfull of everything I do!!! I'm just being lazy not writing everything down and drinking more soda and not exercising etc ETC. This is a familiar pattern for me. I hope it's just water retention because my chest is tender and I am bloated.

My weight DOES fluxuate several pounds, so I'm not going to worry. I just need to be wayyyy more diligent! It's NOT ever easy, In fact it's aLOT easier to just eat however I want and sit on my bum.

My weight fluctuates too. I weighed one night before bed and then again in the morning. I had lost five pounds! I knew not to get excited. I am about to start, so bloating and cravings! I am going to try the warm water and lemon juice in the morning.

Today has been a stressful day. DD has (croupe and bronchitus) so they gave her a steroide and some other medicine. Little man is also sick--jut finished his antibiotic two days ago and already sick again. Got back to class and it has not been good. I had to write 3 referrals to the office and that is not a good thing. All year I think I have only written 3 until today. Then I had to call a parent --at least she was nice to me-had one one time cuss me out over the phone--not fun. My class has not been fun today--they are all mad at me because I enforce the dress code and other things. Now I just want to go home a curl up on the couch with a good book. Can't do that because I had 2 teachers call in sick tonight for class at church. Oh, man--pray I do not attack the desserts tonight at church. I know that there are bigger problems here, but I needed to vent for a minute.

I'm sorry, Heather. I hope everyone feels better soon. Nothing like unreasonable parents!

1 Box cake mix- any flavor
1 can of diet soda.....NOTHING else (no eggs, oil, etc.!)

Some of the suggested flavors are:

Chocolate cake with diet cherrie Pepsi (I did that one, very yummy!)
lemon cake with diet sprite or diet 7-up
Spice cake with diet Dr. Pepper
Devil's food with diet Pepsi
Strawberry cake with diet Sprite

Bake according to pkg. directions. The calories and fat (etc) are the dry mix on the box. Not the prepared cake. GOOD STUFF!

The cake I made had 12 servings at 150 calories per serving which is 3 points if you're doing WW. I wonder if you added some fiber if it'd lower the points?

I made devil's food cake and diet black cherry vanilla coke. Very good, people at work were surprised. Here is my question though. I made 24 pancakes, so do you go by the 12 servings thing or is it actually more serving with less calories?

I just have to say I laughed when I forst read this because it sounds like the Pooh muffins led to you having to clean the bathrooms:lmao:

I thought the same thing.

HELP! Fiber + lots of green veggies = gas! This could be embarrassing! What do I do? I also bought flax seed oil capsules and I am taking 2 - 3 a day. What will these do?

I must confess, for suppper at church. (I had to cook it all) I did eat a small Manwich. They are my favorite. So I got the smallest bun and only used one spoon of manwich. I did not eat the homemade chocolate cake, oreos or powdered donuts. :) But that manwich was like heaven on a bun!!!

Good night peeps!

Just wanted to say HELLO
and a Whooo Hoooty for Utahmama
and Happy birthday JO !!
Good night all dream skinnie dreams...

Question????
How many of you are coffee drinkers and how much do you drink a day, how do you like it (Cream, Splenda, ff creamer, sugar...)decaf, real???

I am a decaffenated coffee drinker and like it with a tablespoon of FF Hazelnut creamer and 1 Splenda. I drink 2 LARGE cups (12oz each) a day. Could this be inhibiting my weight loss??

Thanks for your opinions and answers!!!

I drink two big cups of decaf with Nestle's fat free sugar free cocoa every morning. It's what I need to keep big potty on schedule.:thumbsup2 I think decaf does not hinder weight loss, but what do I know?

I need extra peeps power today! I'm off to the hospital to spend some time with my grandma who is not expected to live more than a couple of days. She was taken in for emergency surgery last night where they discovered a football size tumor in her intestines. They had no idea she had cancer and they think it has spread alot. She's been ill for a couple of years now and has alot of problems, so I thought I was ready for her to go, but now that it's here, I'm a mess. She raised me for 7 years after my mom died when I was a baby and before my dad remarried when I was 8, so she's more like a mom to me. I need will power to not eat to comfort myself, my siblings are most likely coming up fromm Utah this weekend, so I guess I can spend my time cleaning my house instead of eating.................ok, now I'm rambling. It's easier to sit here at the computer than go up to the hospital and face the truth. Oh, I really want a hot fudge sundae!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You and your family are in my prayers. Those times are so hard, but they can build up your spirit. DD was writing a paper for her death in literature class and she talked about when my father passed away. It increased our family togetherness and our faith, so even out of darkness we can find light.

Happy Birthday DisneyJo! We're glad you were born.:)

Woo Hootie UM! We like to hear what you have to say.

Here's my whiney post. Last night, DD had to take me to the ER because I was in extreme pain with an ear infection. Let's hear it for kids with drivers' licenses. The doctor put me on amoxicillin and tylenol w/codeine. A couple of hours later the pain ratcheted up to a 10, then it sounded like the fireworks at WDW, then my eardrum ruptured. It was very nasty, but the pain level actually went down once the drum perforated. I tried to get up to go to work, but was so dizzy and nauseous, I had to have DH help me call for a sub and put me back to bed.
The upside to this: codeine and no appetite. I've had lemon ginger tea, 1/2 banana, a pb and homemade jam sandwich, and a 100 calorie pudding. Let's hope I get some permanent weight loss with my temporary hearing loss.

Nitey night, all. And yes, you all matter. I lift you up in my prayers everyday.

Danielle - You may be the only other one on here besides me, but I have to tell somebody.

It is snowing at my house!

Ok, I get excited over small things. I live in AL, and it doesn't snow here very often. They (the local weathermen) are always forecasting it, but it actually happened this time! It is just a dusting, but it is so pretty. It freaked the dogs out when I took them to go potty. It was really pretty on my all black dog, Shadow.

Nighty Nite!

That's amazing. We rarely get snow here, either, so it's a big deal. I hope you did a little twirl in the falling snow when you took the dogs out.

HAPPY FEBRUARY, EVERBODY!!! :sunny:

HAPPY AMERICAN BIRTHDAY, JO!!!
It's Feb. 1 here now too!

I'll have to buy a "soda" (as you non-Southerners call it) this weekend. Us Southern folk refer to all "sodas" as a coke or soft drink.
My mother calls them either "coke" or "cold drinks". :)
B: ww yogurt (cherry) 1 pt. mixed with 1/2 C. Cottage Cheese 2 pts.

s: banana 1 pt.

s: 1 piece of bread 2 pt.
1 T. Peanut butter 3 pts.
part of my already claimed banana

l: 1/4 chicken garlic pizza thin crust 6 pts.

s: Cheddar Sun Chips 3 pts.

d: Kashi Sweet and Sour Chicken 6

24 points
64 oz. water (Crystal Lite)
vitamins/calcium
WAY TO GO on the diet and an additional
WOO HOOTY for the big 3K!!!
Some of my fave WW Smart Ones are Penne Pollo and the chicken alfredo. Both pretty good. If you like the WW chicken enchiladas, then you should try the Healthy Choice version. I think it is WAY better. Lean Cuisine's Sesame Chicken is also awesome.
Thanks for the recommendations, Shannon. When I only have 200ish calories for lunch, I hate to waste it on something gross.
I have been subjected to an hour of solid ear torture as my DH fuels his American Idol obsession...
Have you watched the "Grease" tryouts on Sunday nights??? How in the world do they get people who are so much more talented and better looking than the folks on American Idol??? :confused3
Today my totals were
No breakfast had to take DD to Dr. but did manage to drink 20 oz of water
snack--ww choc. cake
Lunch--WW Sante fe rice and beans and 100 cal snack 20 oz water
Snack-100 cal snack and 20 oz water
Another 20 oz water
Dinner--1.5 slice of cheese pizza
Coffee and biscotti

So for as bad as my day went I don't think I did to bad.
Way to go!!! I hope everybody's day is better today at your house!
I am working on a Myspace. I have just gotten pretty good at text messaging. All this technology! No one got my trivia question! "Yes, I love technology, but not as much as you and me..." In what movie was this song sung at a wedding? DH is doing better. My hip is giving me no problems now.

Read this.
But that manwich was like heaven on a bun!!!
Are we related? I love manwich but no one at my house will eat it!!!
Let's hope I get some permanent weight loss with my temporary hearing loss.
Scarey! Hope you are feeling better soon, Danielle!

Not much time today. DIS was DOWN this morning when I woke up!!!
