DIS-functional Wonder Peeps Part III revisited

Phyllis survived. Party was a sucess. Cousin's friends ate everything they could get their hands on and drank 6 pitchers of champagne punch in an hour.

Only 6!?:rotfl: That will teach you to make them so good!!

But the wedding festivities just keep getting more fun. Mom told me 2 cousins and their spouses, (haven't talked to any of 'em in years
), are going to be staying at my house. I hate company (certain Peeps excluded  ) - oh and my kids have to miss a day of school for some family portrait and a birthday party afterwards and yes you must stay for it and no you can't leave early I don't care if Doug has a test that day it's a family thing and you will be there*... so Phyllis is crabby.

House guests! Doncha love 'em!? BIL called about 2 weeks ago to say the he's coming in for the weekend NEXT weekend with his girlfriend...and "can we stay with you"? Of course...now I have no issues with BIL staying here - he usually DOES whenever he gets to come in (he's the one in the army) but now I gotta freak out over this girlfriend coming with him that I've never met! THOSE are the kinds of guests that make me crazy!! Strangers!:headache: SO guess who's going back on the cleaning bandwagon next week!?:rolleyes1 3 guesses! Come on! Think!

OK, Gert! Is Stymie out of TX yet?!:confused3

 YAY Phyllis survived!! Sorry 'bout the unexpected house guests and the crabbiness.

 :drinking1 this one is for you!!

Annie - thanks for thinking of him.:thumbsup2 He just walked in the door about 10 minutes ago. He said they were looking pretty nervous down there in Houston.

And Katie yes you are a geek. :rotfl: Just kidding.

Anyone heard from SE??

rick said the same thing when they showed the Villa.."yep..been there, done that"

So, give me details of that villa thing? Im thinking on our cruise this May, maybe? Do you get the couples massage in there? And what else? We did the couples massage once but it was in a closed up room, nothing special like that.

Glad Stymie is home, safe and sound, Johnna!

 It's Friday!! Can DS get thru today w/o me getting an email from a teacher or a note in his planner?:scared: That would make 3 days in a row!!:rotfl2: It's a stretch...but I've got my fingers crossed. He "misplaced" another jacket yesterday...:sad2: I am seriously going to cut him off & send him w/o a coat from now on until the snow flies!:headache: He's killin' me! But now that we're in MS we have this cool "Edline" thing - I get emails every morning now when there are new grades posted! I LIKE this! So far, so good!:thumbsup2

Gertrude - glad Stymie got outta TX in time! I would imagine those peeps ARE gettin' nervous!

Speaking of nervous....I am doing my first Tastefully Simple party tomorrow!:scared: I have to make my samples and "practice" my script cards today!:rotfl2: O Boy!

Random picture for Friday:

I hope everyone has a good weekend. :goodvibes

ohhhhh ahhhhh

pretty fireworks!!

not too much to report here. it's too early yet here. Getting the grils up and moving.

Hey - IT'S FRIDAY!!! and apparently my wireless mouse has a low battery. :confused3

Bets - can you drive up and check on SE?? Oh wait - Annie would be closest. OK Annie - drive on down and take SE some Goat. Let us know how she is doing.:thumbsup2 :cutie:

I did see an email from SE going around, so she is alive and (hopefully)well...probably just busy.

Great picture RJ!

Good luck, Annie! Let us know how it goes.

We go thru a lot of batteries on DS's wireless mouse...he has our only wireless one....

Yeah! Goat! That's the ticket! Maybe that's what SE needs!

I haven't Dised in a while because I had to study study and study.

I got a goal at my soccer game:thumbsup2 but we lost 5-3.

LOL! Yes, Ronnie Jo. Hopefully we will be saying way to go when he gets back his Spanish test. ;)

I just remembered...have a great time tomorrow, Betsy! :goodvibes I for one am very jealous.

Way to go Cam!:thumbsup2 DS does not play so I can only imagine how exciting the game was to see!

We have swim club starting up again this weekend...Since I am doing my first party tomorrow and there is a Redskins home game on Sun. I am going to try to take DS to the Sun. morning practice for his first one. It starts at 11:30 so I am sort of hoping that's too early for all the church goers so it won't as crowded.... I was planning to take him to the Mon. nite practices too but they said those are the most crowded. So we will see. We'll try it for a couple of weeks - if the lanes are packed maybe we'll do the Wed. nite one. DS does not like it when the lanes are too full. The Wed. nite practice is late tho...so I don't know... I hope he can get back into the swing of it pretty quickly. The Friday eve. practices are the closest but we've never been to that pool...so I don't know if it's nice or what. The other practices are at this pool they call "the Bubble". It is an outdoor pool that they cover in the winter with this HOOOGE white tarp - it's sort of inflated I guess. It's kinda weird.

I have been watching this coverage of Ike...this does not look good at all for that poor area!:scared1: I am glad it's not hitting our FL peeps tho!:grouphug: This thing looks scary! I cannot believe some of those people stayed behind in Galveston. Fools. I hope they all make it.:sad2:

Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. I have been sick since coming home from the beach (over a month now) and unfortunately it is still lingering. Because of that any time on the computer has been work related to try to keep up, and no time for fun :(

RJ--sorry I missed wishing you a Happy Birthday--I hope you had a great day.
I showed Trevor your birthday wishes and he was thrilled. It put a HUGE smile on his face. I'll have to post some pictures from his party (my little pirate!)

Between work, being sick, and school starting (and being PTO president this year) I'm pretty worn out. I'll be glad when I'm 100% better (the darn sinus infection, ear infection, etc. has lingered.)
Anyway--didn't mean to go on about that. I miss chatting with all of you (and thanks for asking about me!)

I'll have to catch up on everything going on here.

Betsy, have fun at WDW! Steve & I are planning on a quick weekend trip in November for our anniversary. I hope it works out.
Say HI to Mickey for me :)

I hope everyone has been well.
Annie, I could really go for goat. Need to take a drive to get it (but with gas skyrocketing all of a sudden today have to cut out the trips since it's at least 30 minutes to the closest one.)

Everyone doing okay?
When are we all cruising together again?

(hugs) everyone--I have to really get some more work done.
 I miss you all!!!
Sue Ellen

:wave2: Hi Sue Ellen! YAY! She lives!! :yay: So sorry you've been sick - we've missed you and hope you start feeling better again soon!!!! Don't you wish the Goat place would deliver sometimes?!:drive: :rotfl: I know I dread having to take the truck out of the garage to go anywhere these days with the thought of having to fill 'er up more often!

No cruising for us until probably 2011 or so...esp. with the rumored Baltic cruises...not much interest in that one for us right now...will make the wait easier I guess for the new ships... (So, when do we need to do something about moving our "dummy" res that we made? Do we do that as soon as the 2010 schedule is out or just leave it be?)

Keep in touch - don't be such a stranger and feel better soon!

Well, need to go hop in the shower soon.....

Hey all. Been lurking.

SE - so glad to hear from you! Sorry you are still not 100%.:wizard: feel better soon!!

Bets- have fun at WDW

Been watching hurricane coverage. Our friends in Seabrook took a direct hit been emailing but not calling. I don't figure they attempted to ride it out.

Soccer game today at 12:30 - WAY TO GO CAM!! Worked on my line up already. I think todays strategy will be play a strong defense the first half, let them run their offense down. Then unleash my forwards the second half and see if they have anything left. Sounds good right? Unless that is what they do.....:rotfl: Soccer Coach mind games.:rotfl:

Gonna go hop in the shower myself and start some laundry then its off to the soccer field! At least it won't be 106 today!!

Hope your day at the field went better than ours, Johnna. Lets just say OUCH! :headache:

SE, you poor thing! I can't belive you are still sick. Get better! Hope that anniversary trip works out for you. That will be nice.

Does anyone know where in TX, May lives? I hope her and her crew are all safe and sound. If you read this May, check in.

I just made Roast Beef and Yachtsman Steakhouse garlic and horseradish mashed potoatoes. My insides are burning...think I need some cold beverages to cool everything off.

May lives in Dallas.

Sorry your soccer day wasn't a success. I remember Dougie's team mates stomping off the field after losing and he would just say, "hey, let's go to the beach."

Talked to Bets. She was getting a henna tatoo and has had a Kir Royal. (told her she had to go back and have a Grey Goose slushy for me :thumbsup2 ) THEN she reminded me she'll be back in a few weeks for Food and Wine! (that just was mean - oh, how I wish we were cruising in October again....)

SIGH! Sounds like fun!

Dallas is inland, right? May should be ok. Speaking of Dallas, we got hockey tickets today....going to see Boston vs Dallas on Nov 1. Then DH and I have to wait til March for our yearly game together.

Thats one thing good about my kids. They don't take the losses hard (thank God since we have a lot). Now if the soccer shack runs out of pizza or popcorn, then its the end of the world, :scared1: but losing 7-2 is no biggie.

I think May was from near Dallas...I think that's what she'd said...hopefully she is OK...

That sounds yummy Katie...what exactly IS Yachtsman Steakhouse garlic & horseradish mashed potatoes??? It SOUNDS good!:goodvibes

Well, I survived my first Tastefully Simple party...celebrating now with the Captain!:rotfl: Ended up with the 2 co-hosts + 10 guests (1 brought 2 kids but they were good). I was nervous...but they kept saying that I did OK. I think I left some things out. (oops!) Her kitchen is really small and she has a dog (a 1 yr old Golden) that was driving me crazy so my nerves could've been better. She put the dog in the basement but she has no DOOR for the stairs - so she used a baby gate....he was upset that he wasn't invited to the party so he barked the entire time!!:scared: I am not used to all that noise. Made it hard to think. And she lives in a tiny little 1960's 2 bedroom rambler...so it was ummmm....cozy. I definitely learned a couple of things for NEXT time. Like ummmm....I will not add the pine nut basil pesto mix to the olive oil & water before I go next time as it absorbs too much. And ummm....I will go ahead and make the hot English Toffee Mocha Drink mix before I go and just put it in a thermos. I didn't like having to heat stuff up there. She didn't have any POTS! I needed a pot to make the Italian Marinara sauce and she had to BORROW one from her neighbor.:sad2: Who doesn't have a pot big enough to hold a 28 oz can of crushed tomatos? She doesn't!! Anyway, we made it. Check out was a bit tedious for me...I need to work on THAT...but we went just over $400 in sales. So not TOO bad I guess. I don't know yet what to expect.:confused3 I need to call my sponsor now and figure out what to do next! Most everyone paid with a check...I ain't puttin' any orders in until they clear!:rotfl2:
