I just received Confirmation from the Vatican for our Tour
It will be Tuesday morning at 11: 00 sharp there will be 18 of us and we will be split into 2 groups ( 12 and 6 )
The tour has some requirements such as a dress code ( same as visiting the church ) and I will send that out soon . The price is 13.00 euro and we can work that out later.

Here are a couple of restaurants in Florence recommended by a friend of mom's who just got home from a bucket list trip..... both are a next door to each other and a 10 minute walk from our hotel across the Arno.....

Still working on the boss' trip. It is now a trip for him, his wife, and daughters, and two of his brothers and their families.

My co-workers who traveled in January came home with a couple of great suggestions for Rome. One was a wine and prosciutto bar between our hotel and the Trevi Fountain. This place is supposed to be amazing and they have a location in Florence too. The other place is in the Jewish Ghetto. Of course, my notes on both places are at the office. So, more on those later.

Our situation is that after moving to FL we are selling our house in MA. We got a great offer the same day we listed the house and as along as it goes through (which looks good right now) we should be able to join you.

The only thing keeping me from booking right now is the uncertainty of the sale. I know the PIF date isn't until mid-June and we will hopefully be closed by then, but I hate paying a deposit right now which becomes non-refundable in 14 days since we won't know for sure until after that.

But!!! If we do go, we will certainly be interested in the pre-ABD stuff that Karen is pulling together!!

Appreciate the support! We won't be able to make a commitment for another month yet while we keep our fingers crossed that the sale of our old house goes through. Its probably just as well that we will be out of the country for most of that time.

I'm going to show my travel ignorance here but this looks exactly the opposite of what I expected. I would have thought that it would be a row of three-prong holes to plug your electronics from the US in and a part with an adapter you plugged into the wall.

I'm going to show my travel ignorance here but this looks exactly the opposite of what I expected. I would have thought that it would be a row of three-prong holes to plug your electronics from the US in and a part with an adapter you plugged into the wall.

Those are universal outlets. They will take US or and of the international plugs. You have to get an adapter for the US plug-end that goes into the wall for the country you are in. The Universal plugs are nice if you have to unplug a lamp to get to a power outlet. This will allow you you to plug-in the lamp into the power strip. This strip is also dual voltage and dual 50/60hz.
