So if you go to the lagoon next to Aulani they will stop you from using your own beach umbrellas? Not allowed. The Ko Olina organization has rules about what is allowed.

I’d like to see them come and try to take a sun shade umbrella that I have attached to a beach chair…. it wouldn’t go well for them….Correct. It's not Disney/Aulani restricting their use, it's Ko Olina. View attachment 999067
And yes, this is rigorously enforced.
Exactly! What about something like this- View attachment 999071
I'm sure the hawaii jails are as nice as AulaniI’d like to see them come and try to take a sun shade umbrella that I have attached to a beach chair…. it wouldn’t go well for them….
Same with Ama Ama?FYI. Makahikis booking window is now 45 days out no longer 30.
Just checked and yep now 45 days alsoSame with Ama Ama?
Thank you for the heads up. This is a huge change.Another reservation related update.
I just called Aulani Concierge to ask some questions about Cabana reservations. Apparently, there was a policy change that went into effect literally 2 days ago...
-You can no longer book cabanas for the full length of stay (90 days from your check-in date). You have to call each day 90 days in advance of the day you want make a reservation. So for example, if you want to book a cabana for 3x consecutive days you have to call 3 separate times, 90 days in advance.
-Bookings are no longer taken at midnight local time. Booking start time is now 8:00AM local time. (11AM PST, 2PM EST)
Do. You know if this also applies to Casabellas? Im assuming it does thanks!Another reservation related update.

What a PITA to have to call in 5 separate days for 5 reservations. I do like the time change though.Another reservation related update.

I think the time change will make it harder to book. Midnight HI time is insanely inconvenient and I think that helps with being able to get what you want when you call. What a PITA to have to call in 5 separate days for 5 reservations. I do like the time change though.
There must be someone at Aulani who sits there and asks “what could we do to make planning a vacation here more of a pain that it already is?” “I know, make them call in every day! Ha ha ha ha ha!”
I’m just remembering those 2:58am alarms to call to reserve the seats… it was awful, but at least I got most of what I wanted….I think the time change will make it harder to book. Midnight HI time is insanely inconvenient and I think that helps with being able to get what you want when you call.
As one of those people unwilling to call every day at 3AM but happy to call mid-day, I agree with your point but am also generally pleased with the change. I would rather call 5x at 11AM than once at 3AM— that calculation would probably change if I lived in Eastern time (or in Asia).I think the time change will make it harder to book.
