Dinner to Harmonious?

We have 7:15 reservations at Via Napoli on a Monday evening. Hoping to pop out after dinner and watch 9pm Harmonious, then continue on our way for Extended Evening Hours.
Thoughts on the best place to try to watch from? Obviously the view won't be super amazing if we aren't out of dinner until 8:30 or later but any advice welcome! Bonus points if it gets us into a good position to head into extended hours (maybe Rat or Frozen, or maybe back to Future World). I'm open to any opinions on a good plan. We've never made it to an Epcot evening show with the kiddos so I'm a newbie at this one.

We usually watch from the bridge between France and UK. Always seems to be room there.

Is this your only evening in Epcot?

If you watch Harmonious and then do deluxe hours, you lose deluxe time watching the show. Plus, once the show is over, you're dealing with day crowds and other deluxe guests trying to either get out of the park or get on a Remy/Frozen.

It's better to start in Future World right at 9 and make your way down to Remy later in the night. That plan requires you skip Harmonious or see it on another night. Is that an option for you?

It's not our only Epcot day, but the other Epcot day we're there is a Friday and it's during Food and Wine so I was trying to avoid World Showcase in the evening, if that makes sense. I know we lose some deluxe time this way but not sure which is the better plan?

I'm hoping to get Frozen and Remy done earlier with Genie +/ILL (whatever they end up after August 7th) and then just head to Future World for the rest of extended evening hours but my oldest (who went to Disney with her HS in the spring) really wants us to see the actual line for Remy since she liked it so much...so now I'm rethinking.

I'm wondering if we'd have time to get over there after our dinner reservation but before 9pm? I guess it will depend on how long dinner takes...

I think you'd be fine even if you're a little late. I know, totally unpopular opinion but for me, I don't love shows so missing a few min doesn't really detract from the story but the UK/France bridge is a good spot and when it's over you can scoot over to Remy.

I have similar options for my upcoming trip and we decided to do Harmonious on a F&W Friday and then start our Monday deluxe hours in Future World. I think the deluxe hours are going to be much more pleasant if we start them in a near empty future world and then make our way to the back of the park only once the day crowds have had time to dissipate. I detest trudging through post-fireworks crowds with my kids and that's when we're only trying to get to the exit with everyone else. If I were feeling like the masses were keeping me from my extra fun park time, I'm sure I'd be twitching. I'm also factoring in tired eight-year-old legs, so we're trying to avoid any more crisscrossing than is absolutely necessary.

I know that means we tolerate a busy Friday night for Harmonious. If our goal for that evening is the night show, we'll be fine camping out early with some snacks.

We have found the best viewing is between Canada and Port of Entry shops. But, you’re more likely to find the bridge between France and Canada more convenient from Via Napoli. However, we have found the bridge to be crowded and CMs were preventing guests from leaning back on the bridge in many spots on the “far” side of the bridge (International Gateway side).

Italy has some of the best views, as does Japan. I would see what's available in Italy when you get out of dinner and then either walk left or right (toward Frozen or Remy) and just pick a spot that is available. We've watched from Germany as well - it's not a great view, but still enjoyable.

We managed to do Frozen and Remy during the deluxe hours, and that was it. The lines were still about an hour for each. We attempted to get a virtual line for guardians, but those were gone in a second.

Distances are vast at Epcot, so I would just keep expectations low on what you can do for those 2 hours.

Not to hijack the thread, but....

Can you clarify whether you watched Harmonius during your deluxe hours and where exactly you started your touring?

After via Napoli dinner I woukd head over to The opposite end of the lagoon, closest to future world and watch harmonies from there. Then you should be able to knock out most of the rides in future world and head to Remi last. (Yes we are all still calling it future world!)

From what I have read and watched (via vloggers), it is much harder to get a lot done in Epcot EE compared to MK EE - because there are fewer rides and because of the distance between rides. I first recommend trying to change the time of your dinner (this gets easier closer to your trip as people cancel reservations). If you can't change dinner, then I would prioritize EE that night and watch Harmonious another time -even if it means on a Friday during Food and Wine.

Thanks, I actually had grabbed a 5:35 reservation as well...just not sure if we'll be able to get back in time for that if we take an afternoon break.
The real kicker is, of course, that this is all on Monday, August 8th...so who knows at this point what rides will be what as far as Genie+ since the current changes are only scheduled through August 7th...

I'd expect it to be the same. I guess GoTG could go into standby line, which would be a major change, but I don't see that happening so fast.

If it did happen, I think it would actually decrease the Epcot crowd overall.

We'll be there that night as well. I totally feel you on having a trip over the change time. It's so hard to plan when you don't know what will be a LL as opposed to regular genie+. Hope you guys have a great time!

I hope it doesn't change too much! We have a 10 day trip that of course that's right in the middle of it!

Hope you have a fabulous time as well!
