Just returned Friday from a wonderful trip at BWV for our 34th anniversary and wanted to post our reviews before vapor lock of the brain sets in and I forget.
First time on the DDP, won't use it again, just not for us. Not big eaters and it was a LOT of food. It also took away from the spontaniety (SIC?) that we like. But here goes.

Day 1 5/4: Got in late in the afternoon and went to Rose & Roce for the CS Fish & Chips, potato chips and iced tea. Very good, and would do it again as a quick bite to eat. Not being real hungry for dinner and decide to do another CS, so went went to American Pavilion and both had Chicken Caesar salads. Okay, nothing really to rave about. However did feel a bit rushed by the staff as they were already beginning to put chairs on the tables as if closing. I was surprised as it was only 7:30. Won't do it again.

Day 2 5/5: Went to DHS and not real impressed with the offerings for TS and instead went back to the Boardwalk and ate at Big River Brewing. DW had the Meat Loaf and I had the Red Rocket BBQ Ribs. Very good service, great food. The Meat Load could have actually fed 2 people, 3 very large slices of the Meat Loaf and the wife enjoyed it immensely. The Ribs were awesome. We were so full that we decided to take our desserts back to the room for later. Cheesecake was great. Would do this again.
Dinner at MK LTT: in a word, HORRIBLE. Had priority seating for 7:30 and did not get seated until 8:15. It wasn't like it was very busy, and when we were finally seated we noticed at least 5 tables for 2 that were empty. Did not see why we waited for the table so long. Our waiter Jean S. was horrible, very slow and forgetful. Three times he brought me the wrong soda. Asked for root beer and three times he returned with Coke. The food was dry, cold and not tasty at all. Never, never do this again.

Day 3 5/6: Went to Epcot and tried to get into the Garden Grille for lunch. Went to the hostess at the counter at 10:30 a.m.. The hostess told the woman in front of us that they were completly book for the week lunch and dinner. Went outlide and called Disney Dining and was able to secure a seating for 12:30 at the San Angel Restaurant in Mexico. DW and I both had the Plato Mexicano. Fabulous service and meal. Food was very tasty and huge platter. Would do this again.
Dinner was snacks, actually forget at the moment but it left 2 CS's for the next day.

Day 4 5/7: Breakfast at Spoodles. Both had the All American All You Can Eat. Very good and an awful lot of food. The French Toast was great, the bacon was crispy the way I prefer. Service was great. Would do this again.
Late lunch at AK at the Anandapur Cafes, DW had the Mandarin Chicken Salad while I had the Sweet & Sour Pork. Nothing to write home about, did like the idea that they present the food in the little Chinese Food take-out cartons. Probably not do it again.
Dinner was at the ABC Commissary at DHS. DW had the Cuban sandwich while I had the Fish & Chips. Wife the parfait and I the chocolate mousse for desserts. The desserts were the best part of the meal. Will pass on this for the forseeable future.

Day 5 5/8: Lubch at Chefs de France. Wife had the Quiche while I had the Salmon. This was by far the best meal and service we had during the trip. In fact wife told the Manager of the Front of House that it may have been the best meal that we've eaten there. We go there on every trip since 1996 (30 plus trips). Our waitress Lucile was exceptional and we told that to the manager, he appreciated it and let her know also. Would do this again, in fact plan to this Oct.
Dinner was CS at the Boardwalk Bakery. Both had the Chicken Caesar Salad and Muffins for dessert. No line and the service was quick and easy. The salads were quite good. Would proably do it again.

Summary: Ate well but for us it was just too much food and probably the DDP is not for us. But I do recommend that everyone should at least try it and then decide for themselves whether it for them or not.

Nice review and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. We really enjoy the DDP, but sometimes I do agree that it takes away from being laid back. We were there the same time as you and changed one of our dinners because we didn't want to leave the Magic kingdom. We were supposed to eat at San Angel in but changed to Tony's. We will not return. The service was terrible and I am pretty sure I heard our server "Joe" use the "F" word while going by our table.

We also do not enjoy LTT. The food on our last trip was dry and bland. It is a shame that the MK has such terrilbe TS restaurants. CP is ok, but I am not a big fan of buffets.

We are going to do DxDDP in October (just DH and I) for our anniversary at the BWV. We plan to eat mostly in Epcot and the Boardwalk.

When yous tay at BWV where do you go to get coffee/soda with your mugs? Just curious bc I have read that they don't really have counter service at BW. Thanks!

Peanut1 you can get your refills for coffee at the Boardwalk Bakery, sodas I believe can be refilled at the Luna Pool. Hope this helps.
