Dining Reservations for Disney Resort Guests

This is a newbie question which I should know the answer to, but I just can't seem to remember....

I vaguely remember resort guests being able to make their reservations 180 days in advance + 10 or something to that effect. Can someone please tell me if this is still the case and what it means?

180 + 10 means if you are staying at a Disney owned resort in DW you can make dining reservations for your arrival date + the first 10 days of your stay starting 180 days before your arrival date.

If you are not staying at a Disney owned resort you can make dining reservations 180 days before the day you want to dine.
