We will be going to Disney for about 11 nights next year. While there my ex sister in law and niece and her baby will come to Disney for a weekend. We will be on the DDP, my SIL who lives in FL and niece will not be on the DDP and the baby will be only 2 yrs old at the time of the visit. Obviously we will not be booked together, but will be having a few meals together while they visit. So, my questions are,

since they are not on the DDP will this cause problems at billing for the meal,

will the tip be lumped together since at that time we will be a party of 6 or more and

will the baby be considered part of the party, number? (I do not know if she will be eating much table food at that time or still eating toddler jar stuff)

I usuall do tip envelopes in advance and I am just trying to figure out how to plan, my SIL has never been and I will have to educate her later this month.

Thanks for any help/advice.

1) No, just when the server asks if you're on DDP, point out who is and who isn't. They'll do separate checks for those paying OOP which leads to...

2) No. Since you'll be getting separate checks, the tip will be split proportionally between your check and her check. You'll both have the 18% tacked on, but she'll get charged 18% of what's on her check, you'll get charged 18% of what's on your check (before DDP is accounted for). (As a note: this would apply regardless of DDP status, if you split the check (which you must in your case), then the 18% gets individually applied to each check.)

3) Yes. All persons young and old are counted for party size. Whether they are actually eating from the restaurant or not.

Thank you, I always leave at least that much as I always do my tip envelopes, but was not sure how it would work and I have never had a group be over 5.

Thanks again.
