Dining Plan?

I have a few questions about the dining plan as DVC members? As I mentioned in a previous thread this is our first trip home! Thanks again for the awesome answers on that thread

We are planning on adding the dining plan for our upcoming trip Oct 24-Oct 29. I know you need to add the dining plan for your length of stay - our stay is 5 nights/6 days. I am confused do we get 5 days worth of credits or 6 days worth of credits.

Also we are planning on buying annual passes with DVC discount when we get to resort- so what card will our dining plan be on our resort "key"?

the dining plan is good for one credit for each night stay in the resort. So in your case 5 credits.

We found this out the hard way the first time. Ended up with one less credit than we thought going in.

The dining plan is based on number of nights. The dining plan credits will be on your room key.

You can not buy APs at the resorts. You will have to go to Guest Services or a Theme Park ticket window.

The dining plan is purchased by the nights of your stay, not the days of your stay.

Your dining credits will be on your KTTW (room ID), not your AP. You cannot buy the AP at the resort; you need to buy in at Guest Services at one of the theme parks or DTD.

If you decide to get a Tables In Wonderland card, you can get that at the same place as the AP in DTD. It only took us a few minutes to get our PAPs and our TIW card.

Is it possible to buy your season pass in advance with the DVC discount, or do you have to wait until you are there?

You can purchase them on-line from the member website or call member services. If you do pre-purchase you still have to go to a guest services location to get your actual AP. Disney does not mail active APs.
