Dining Does Not Show Up In Online Confirmation : This Is Normal

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask this but since everyone was asking about online confirmations I thought I would ask....

I made a reservation on Monday morning with Free Dining using my Disney Visa. I have been trying ever since to pull up my reservation online at Disney's website. I starting getting nervous thinking something happened to my reservation and that maybe it was lost in Monday's craziness.

So I called to reassure myself and thankfully the CM pulled my reservation up with the number I had and everything was fine. Free dining and all. I told him that I wasn't able to retireve my reservation on their website and he said that sometimes when reservations are booked with these kind of promotions you won't be able to pull them up online. That doesn't make any sense to me. I know that everyone else seems to be able to retrieve theirs online but that most already had previous reservations that they changed to include free dining. Has anyone else who made an initial reservation with free dining had any problems retrieving theirs online?
 
I made my ressie on the 9th using my Disney Visa. I was on hold for 2 hours! I cannot pull mine up on line either. I am panicked! The CM told me I would get an e-mail confirmation, but NOPE! This ressie is for my son, coming home from Iraq, and his wife. My DH and I will be staying at our DVC. I printed my credit card statement, that has the $200.00 deposit on it. I spoke with another CM yesterday that said I should receive something in the mail. I am still concerned, nothing yet!

I just received my confirmation in the mail yesterday so I wouldn't panic about not getting it yet. I felt a lot better after speaking with a CM who confirmed my reservation I just can't figure out why I am unable to pull it up online. My mail confirmation has all the information on it but no prices other than the total price that was quoted. I also feel better that I am not the only one who can't pull theirs up. I thought maybe it was something that was wrong with mine. Did you have an existing reservation or did you make a new one on Monday?
 
For what it's worth, I booked Monday, and received paper confirmation yesterday. I can call up my reservation online by entering the confirmation number, but it doesn't show automagically when I log into Disney.com. (I have a long and strange last name, so often the automagic things don't end up working right for me anyway.)

Call back if it sets your mind at ease.. in fact, because of the importance of this reservation, I'd call back to re-confirm everything..

That said, clearly you're not the only one having problems pulling these reservations up.

The online thing sometimes just doesn't work as advertised.

Also - when you ask for an email confirmation.. always confirm and double check the email address they have on file. I went thru four phone calls before i thought to say "What email address are you sending these to?" .. and discovered it was one I no longer use.
