Hi, I am about to order my Seaworld tickets and am thinking of doing the Dine with Shamu or the Polynesian Luau? I have two boys so I am thinking that the DIne with Shamu might interest them more....
Any input? TIA:goodvibes

we did dine w/ shamu in CA! It was a highlight of our trip! I would say it is a must do at least once! My kids were ds 12 dd15 ds 3:thumbsup2

my son- 8yo just did this last thurs and he is still talking about it. its worth every penny:thumbsup2

We also did the dine with Shamu. We all really enjoyed it!! The food wasn't that great, but the experience was amazing!!

We did it in 2006. Here's the thing - that night there was lightning, not at SeaWorld, but some distance away. Apparently it was close enough so that they could not do the show. So we had a mediocre dinner buffet and the trainers went from table to table answering any questions we had. I think they tried hard to make up for the fact that we wouldn't be seeing the show, but it was a expensive for a mediocre meal and no Shamu.

We considered this too, but didn't do it. I have read that you need to reserve early to get a good seat. I read that if you don't get a good seat, it's not that good.

My MIL and BIL were in Florida this week, and they did the Dine with Shamu.

Absolutely loved it!! It was one of the best things about their trip. They ranted and raved about how wonderful it was.

Next time we go, I'm going to be doing that for my boys.

We did the luau years ago and have no interest to do it ever again! The food was horrible and the show was okay. I really enjoyed the Hoop dee Doo much more.

That stinks that they won't give you a rain check if there's no show. We're going in June (rainy season) so I'm debating if we should do this or not? :confused3

We did it in November and my daughter still talks about it. I don't think any of the tables were that bad, some better than others. Food only ok, atmosphere great.

I have to agree -- the luau didn't really keep my kids interested at all. And to be honest, it didn't keep me very interested either. I liked the fire dancer, and I liked some of the dances.

But it took so long to get to the good parts, by the time the good parts came, I was ready to leave.

how do you go about booking this? i live in ohio and miss our sea world. but we never had anything like that.
