Digital Membership Cards?

I did this following to “fix” this same issue for me (another user also did the same and said it worked).

First — remove the card from your wallet.

Next — In the MDE app go to your profile / account settings. Remove your cell phone and save settings. Go back into account settings and add the cell phone back and verify it (it took a minute for the verification code to get to me).

Next — Wait a few seconds and go back into MagicMobile. You SHOULD now see the DVC design (and AP if you are an AP). Add the card. It should add to Wallet with the DVC design and any affiliations you have.

Finally — never touch MagicMobile again as I assume it would break the affiliations.
You are the master! Thank you. This number out and verify trick added the affiliation bar. DVC Y

I downloaded mine from mde but I have no code of dvc y or dvc nd. just the qr code. We have a direct from Disney. This rollout of this is a mess.

and I have done every trick everyone says to do but it’s still a plain dvc card with my name.

The QR code is what I was told would be scanned. Once scanned, it will apply discounts that you are eligible to have.

Hopefully DVC will update today with more info if this has rolled out to help owners make sure they have what they need

Does Magic Mobile continue to update once added to the Wallet, if people's status changes?
Also, how do I confirm if mine is accurate? I have too many affiliations, and thus cannot see all that's listed (it says "Annual, CastawayClub Gold..." in my affiliations), though I do see both DVC and Disney Visa in MDE app under Memberships & Passes in my Profile.

I think that it will be automatically updated now that it is in place. I know when I sold an eligible contract in my Dec UY, the card changed at the same time the contract left my account.

So, they have a way already to do it.

I followed someone else’s suggestion and it worked. I can see the affiliation now

Mine is all set up now, but it would be nice if DVC had bothered to provide a bit more information beyond "it will be available in MDE", like what it would look like, how to set it up, etc. Absolutely zero information provided still on a program that rolled out two days ago..

I'm able to see all of my affiliations on my Apple Watch.

On my iPhone, I see: "DVC Y,ANNUAL,CASTAWAY CLUB..."
On my Apple Watch, I see: "DVC Y,ANNUAL,CASTAWAY CLUB,DVIC".

I'm going to assume "DVIC" stands for Disney Visa Card.

DVIC does appear to be Disney Visa. We're still trying to decipher "Geographic"

Oh, I will go get my apple watch and see if it shows all my affiliations.

MDE will not be showing something specific as a DVC card, He also said that the temporary cards on the website will be going away at some point.
Did they give any indication of what would be available for members who do not have smart phones? Yes, I know that "most" people do, but not everyone does, so they should still have the option to print a card from the member website, even with a very short expiration date.

Wow, thanks! I hadn't looked at the wallet on my watch since forever, but after reading this I pulled it up and sure enough, it lists everything that's under my affiliations in MDE.

As above, it has to do with where you live. Ours shows Geographic as well, and in MDE it lists our home state (Texas) as one of our affiliations.

I see no letter codes. I do have a QR code in my wallet but have no idea the association.

Here's what the FAQ for that question is...basically it sounds like that will be the only option.

Yes, I saw that last month when the digital member cards were announced. I guess I'll need to email DVC with a protest. It doesn't affect me personally, but it will affect some members and is therefore unfair and unreasonable.

When they removed the existing Member Card link and instead put it on a temporary page (the one announcing the change) I figured that it would be gone once the roll-out was complete. It kind of defeats the purpose of the change they are making though if they leave a workaround.

Curious about this too as I have 'Geographic' as well. I live in SoCal which is noted in 'My Profile' if that's any clue. I also have a Disney Visa, but DVIC isn't listed. Then again, the affiliation string may be getting cut off?

Disney IT is what it is, but I wish DVC's execution and communication of a change (that has been known since summer) wasn't so challenged as well. A New Year's Eve/Day email blast (or updated webpage) from DVC explaining and showing the new card experience would have been appreciated (versus ppl guessing or calling MS directly). This topic seems more relevant than some of the DVC sweepstakes and direct incentive DVC messages that find their way to my inbox.

For those that had issues with getting pass styles and affiliations, once you do the steps previously listed of re-verifying your number and adding the pass back onto your phone, don't touch it in MDE again! When I added it and got the affiliations on, I changed the pass styles and the DVC/AP ones were gone along with the affiliations on the ID in my wallet. Had to redo everything to get everything to appear.

So strange that hasn't been my experience. Changed it 3 or 4 times without an issue. Well, it would be strange if it weren't Disney.

I understand what you’re saying, but a short expiration date on the printout and/or coded into an accompanying QR code could work. They’ve already shortened the expiration of the one on the website to a month, so they could shorten it further (and make owners who overstay that length go to the resort front desk or concierge to print a new one) if they’re so afraid of people getting discounts when they’re no longer owners.
