Digital Membership Cards?

ok - Im an idiot.. 🙄 and I'm using an android....

Im trying to find the "affiliations" - when I click on "My profile" on MDE, I and go to Memberships and Passes it shows me that Im an AP and that it expires 10/13/22, DVC (with just my ID#) and a Disney Visa card member - all words are spelled out and there are no abbreviations...

when I click on Magic Mobile it pulls up our APs - and I can change the picture of my AP from Minnie to show DVC (by using the "Change pass style" button but Im not seeing where there is a barcode or any of the abbreviations everyone else is talking about.

I did follow the directions on page #3 and remove my phone in both places and save, then wait, then re-log back in. Then I even uninstalled the app and re-installed it and I'm still lost.

Where are the abbreviations and where is the bar that someone would scan for my DVC card to get a discount?

Thanks!

Dazed and confused...
Since you're a fellow Android user you have to add your MagicMobile pass to your Google Pay wallet first. There should be a button in MDE on the MagicMobile page saying to add it to Google Pay. Then once you've done that go to the Google Pay app and it should be there with other cards or passes you have stored. After you click your Disney pass in Google Pay then it'll bring up your MagicMobile pass and on the bottom of the screen there will be a "Details" button where you can see your affiliations.

I have magic mobile setup on my phone/watch, but I found it annoying to use during our trip in November, so I just switched back to using a magicband. Does anyone know if this new thing will work with magicbands as well? Or do you need to use magic mobile?

This is just a guess but I don't think it will work with MB's. Some of the reports back from people who have spoken with CM's have said they would need to scan the QR code and I think the MB would only pull the fact that someone is a member (as seen in the Memberships and Passes part of MDE) without being able to tell the difference between blue card and white. I hope I'm wrong.

One thing I'm now curious about with how the seem to have pulled the qualifications is whether there could be members with direct contracts who were white card members who now show as qualifying for discounts. If anyone here has a direct contract but is white card, please post how your affiliation shows.

I hope so too. I could never get my magic mobile to work when making purchases, which was a huge pain.
I guess a second question relating to magic mobile, does anyone know if I can make it my primary card in Apple wallet? I have multiple cards on there, so I always had to scroll to use it, which added to the inefficiency of it.

I have my card in my wallet however I do not see any “affiliation” section to view my codes. How do I view them?

I do have a QR code

Find my post on page 3 showing how to get it to work.

This worked for me too. Not sure how you figured this one out but thank you.
Honestly I think if you changed any part of your profile and then changed it back it would work. I think the key is changing something so that the app will go back and refresh your account info (and by doing that re-pull the affiliations).

So I did save the passes to Magic Mobile but there is a problem. It shows DH as just an AP holder (he is also a DVC member and has a card) and it shows me as and AP holder as well as a DVC non-discounted (ND) which is crap because we bought resale in 2014 and have always had a blue card.

What gives?

Someone posted further back they are aware of the problem. All resales got loaded as "ND" they will have to go back in fix the process to only post 2016 reales.

Does your husband have his own DVC login and have it linked to MDE?

The other problem is known and they are working on fixing it (they only looked at resale vs direct when coding).

I have yet to use MagicMobile, but I thought the whole idea with it is convenience; you can just waive your phone (without waking or unlocking it) by the scanner and it just does what it is intended for (so for example, when entering a park, you just waive your phone over the scanner and it detects the ticket you have; you can keep your phone off, you don't have to unlock it or access MDE on the phone). So in the case of the DVC pass, we need to unlock our phones, open up the pass and navigate to the QR code? Sounds like a hassle when you have one hand holding a turkey leg and the other a bucket of popcorn. At least with the physical card, I could hold the turkey leg in my mouth (what does that say about my mouth? 😂) and fish out the physical card from my pocket...

Maybe the plan is that this is something that will be implemented later on?

Curious about this too as I have 'Geographic' as well. I live in SoCal which is noted in 'My Profile' if that's any clue. I also have a Disney Visa, but DVIC isn't listed. Then again, the affiliation string may be getting cut off?
SoCal as well. I have DVIC, but no “Geographic”.

A wonderful member of the DVCfan FB group has taken one for the team and called in to find out about the pre-2016 members being coded as DVC ND. As suspected they should be getting the discounts but when they ran the scripts to pull the info it classified all resale the same. They said it could be a few weeks before it is fixed and they are extending the use of the blue cards until the end of Jan.

That sounds helpful. But I have a related question on what I'm seeing in Apple Wallet: For Affiliation I see "Annual, DVC". A lot of people are talking about "DVC Y" or "DVC ND". We are pre-2016 Non Direct....

Long press on the card then drag it into the order you want it. There is no way to make it primary though.

I have 4 cards in mine, its the last one, but to me its not that hard to just tap it to bring it up from the last place position, you'll have to tap it to get to the QR code either way.
