Digital Membership Cards?

The wallet isn’t part of the MDE app - people are talking about the digital wallets on their cellphones. There’s a process to go through to add your AP or ticket to that wallet, and it appears that link is now showing DVC membership and other affiliations via the card in the wallet. If you haven’t already added anything to your cellphone wallet, search for Disney Magic Mobile to find instructions. If you did install MM already, the affiliations are updating automatically.

I honestly don't know. Hopefully, having all your affiliations shown in your Profile in your MDE account will work -- but as things are, I honestly don't know. I wonder what owners who don't own smart phones (or don't even have a cell phone) are supposed to do.

Does your husband have his own DVC login and have it linked to MDE?

He does not. We are both on the deed/title etc. I manage booking our trips. He HAS a blue card. Strange...but not unexpected that this digital rollout has been botched.

I don't know what would happen on a non-smart phone but I didn't have any wallets set up or downloaded when I linked my MagicMobile. It made a wallet to hold it even without having the app installed (I assume there is something within the phone's software to handle it). I later added the app and can access the 'card' through the app or MDE.

Wished they would’ve fixed the IT resale/borrow glitch before moving on to creating another IT glitch for members. Now that we have 2 major issues, there’s no way that the first is getting prioritized any more.

According to the website, there isn't another option. But, that was when it was first announced. Who knows if there will be an alternative way. The whole purpose though was to automate things...which is why AP holders see annual...other than ID, they don't want a CM deciding or trying to keep up...if the QR code says its good to go, show your ID and you are set. If it doesn't, then no dice for discounts.

But, still waiting for more specific info from DVC which should have been out no later than today IMO. It already sounds like that things didn't get coded correctly and even when it is fixed, I bet we get reports of some owners who have been resale prior to this roll out getting coded as DVC Y and getting the discounts.

Non-DVC related I do hope they make AP use this for discounts as well. It MIGHT even help them enforce the 2 per person purchasing rule. Scan a QR code, tracks your 2 items purchased and then hopefully prevents you from purchasing again.

Does your DH have his own MDE account? If so, does his DVC club ID show there? Or, is it just that its showing no affiliation in the Magic Mobile app on the phone?

Hi, when my husband loaded and reloaded multiple times it comes up the same way every time. Affiliations just says DVC. No Y and no DVIC even though we are disney visa cardholders. Not really sure what else we can do?? Why does it not have a Y as it seems most others do? We are blue card holders and I have to say I personally am not tech savvy so all of this goes over my head. My husband is more tech savvy than me but hes not sure what else to do. As a few others have said i wish you could still have an actual card or at least a printout to show of some sort..ugh

Ours just says DVC..no Y like everyone else's does..our Disney visa also isnt recognized..ugh

Those cards have only had one months of use and been temporary for many months now so that is normal. It has nothing to do with paying dues

Yes...as in eligible for discounts. I was told by CM today that ND means No Discount.

I was able to get the card in my MagicMobile and can view it in Google Pay, even though I don't have Google Pay actually installed on my phone. I tried to screenshot the QR code because who wants to have to go through all those steps all the time but it says it cannot take a screenshot due to security purposes. Is there a way around this because this whole process is a bit convoluted. Now I have to figure out how to get my husband's card on his iPhone. And what happens if your phone dies and can't access your card?

I figured that wasn’t great information…now just trying to figure out someone who can actually help me get the proper cards that my DH are entitled to…

Have him set up his own MDE account...it should then populate him as a DVC owner...if not, get his club ID and add it. He can then set up Magic Mobile on it and hopefully, it will give him the correct affiliations. I am going to have to do this for my DH as he doesn't have one either. But, he won't be going with me for quite a while so in no rush.
