Difficulty in getting to Cal. Grill from BCV?

Would it be totally insane to take the bus to MK, then hop the monorail to the CR to have dinner at California grill? Does anyone have a better way of doing this? Thank you!

I take it you are asking about getting there using Disney transportation. But just in case you do have a car, driving is pretty easy.

Using Disney transportation, your suggested route would work pretty well. You could also just walk from the MK bus stop to the contemporary - it would probably be faster that way since the MK monorail stop is in the opposite direction than the CR from the bus stop. BTW, when returning, do indeed walk to the MK bus station since the resort monorail would first make stops at the TTC, Poly, and GF before returning you to the MK.

Another possibility is, if you are already in one of the other parks, just take the CR bus directly from there.

Taxi's are always available and shouldn't cost more than $10.

You can actually walk to the Contemporary from the MK bus stop. It's about 5 minutes. It's not an insane option at all to use a bus to the park. I've done this several times.

Another idea would be to take a cab from BC. If we are leaving from BC or BWV we drive ourselves -we always have a car.

One other option is to take the boat to MGM, and from there, just hop a bus to the Contemporary!

Yet another option, if you have a ticket that allows for you to enter Epcot that day, is to enter Epcot through the International Gateway, then walk to the front and catch the Monorail there.

But if your goal is to minimize walking, bus to MK then monorail would be the best bet. The boat to MGM and bus to the Contemp would work to, but would probably take longer.

Don't know how long it would take as I haven't done it, but the least amount of walking would be to take the bus to Down Town Disney then a bus to CR.
