Difficult Choice - I Would Love Some Help!

We have the Disney Dining Plan and have made all of our table service decisions except for one. We have it narrowed down to:

1900 Park Fare
Whispering Canyon
Chefs de France
Biergarten (we have been here before and loved it, but are open to letting something else take its spot)

Any/all advice would be helpful! Also, if you'd like to list your favorite(s), that would be great!
I wish all decisions could be this fun.
Thanks in advance!

Out of those four, I've only eaten at 1900 Park Fare, breakfast and dinner. I liked both, especially the strawberry soup.

My favorites for table service are
CRT breakfast
BoG (mainly for atmosphere)
California Grill
Kona (breakfast)
Tusker House breakfast
Sci-Fi

Those are all very different restaurants. I wouldn't be able to recommend anything without knowing more info. Where will you be that day? Are you looking for character meals? How old are your kids? Are they picky or adventurous?

I liked The Wave, Captain's Grille and Rose and Crown on our last trip.

Thank you both!

My kids are in their 20s now. We are mostly adventurous. We are not necessarily looking for character meals and could be at any park on any day!
We are just looking for great food and experience. We will be going to dinners at: Ohana, CRT, BoG, and Skipper Canteen. Ohana is the only repeat for us (we all agreed that a repeat was a must).
We narrowed down our 5th-to-be-choice to 1900 Park Fare, Whispering Canyon, and Chefs de France - (and Biergarten since it was a one of the favorites last time). I know they're all very different, making it hard to choose. That's probably why we're having such a hard time!

I like all you chose lol.
Personally I prefer to eat at/near where we are at that day/time. Don't like having to include travel time into meal time to extend time Away from rides/attractions. That'd be my choice since ur chosen ones are good.
Enjoy ur visit and the DElish meals.

Thanks! At this point, on that day, we are willing to arrange which park we will attend based on the dinner...lol. We just can't decide!!

Has anyone had exceptionally great or disappointing experiences with any of those restaurants listed? Or perhaps a stand-out we are missing?

Thank you!!

Chefs has always been a nice meal. Last time we had a HUGE table and we had great service. I personally like the fact you get a soup/salad, entree and dessert for your TS credit. Wine list is pretty good too.

Biergarten is also one of my favorites for the atmosphere and there were a few items on the buffet that I really liked. I'm willing to give a bit on food quality for the general experience of a restaurant.

I think 1900 Park Fare's main draw is the characters. I've never personally eaten there, but I've had a few friends say that it was very disappointing food-wise.

I've never eaten at Whispering Canyon as the menu and the hijinx does not appeal to me AT ALL.

Thank you, nco91590! That is great input and will factor into our decision. I'm starting to lean towards Chefs or Biergarten. We wanted either a buffet or all-you-can-eat for this pick (none of our other scheduled meals are this type yet - whereas our last visit, we tried 4 buffets/all-you-can-eat) - but I put Chefs in as a choice because I've just always wanted to give it a try. The three course menu is definitely appealing!

If you're looking to get a lot of value for your TS credit, there is also the option of Mama Melrose with F! package... that also includes the extra course in it. Also H&V for a character buffet, it was decent and probably on par with 1900 PF but you get the added bonus of the F! seating in the best section in the stadium.

We loved 1900 park fare!! Food, atmosphere and service were fantastic! The only other one we've been to is WCC & that was good (endless milkshakes were my favorite part) but 1900 PF was definitely my favorite of the two :)

I prefer Chefs over Biergarten because I think the food is much better. I will say the show and beer was good in Germany.

I've done WC many times for all meals and Chef's once. Going to Biergarten in 4months and never did 1900 PF. WC for me is a great off the menu meal OR all-you-can-eat, depends on what you choose and the theming is super fun. I probably had the most fun there when my cousins and I were in our 20's acting like 10 year olds riding on wooden horses around the restaurant :) Chefs (like you)I wanted to do for yeeears as no one in my family would ever try with me and when I finally twisted arms I was very happy! Just totally different experiences, Happy Eating!!!!!

Thank you all for your responses!! We hadn't even considered the F! dinner packages. I love all of this input. I'll sit down with my family this weekend and go over everything!

Out of those four, I think Chefs has the best quality food by far. Food may not be your sole consideration, though. Beer fans might mean Biergarten is a better choice, and hi jinks are always there at WC. I wouldn't recommend park fair unless someone is in love with the characters, though.

Well we have always gone to beer garden in the past because my mother is from Germany. It was not the best food ever but not bad and good atmosphere. But this last January it was really terrible from the service to the food. To the point my mother let our server "have it" in German because the servers were making snarky remarks to each other in German, big mistake when we both speak Geman. They were completely unacomidating to my 86 yo Mom with seating us where she had to do stairs and walk a fairly long distance for her...since she was using a wheelchair.

There are much better choice IMHO.

I've been to all of those and would definitely choose 1900 Park Fare. The food is good with a lot of variety and the character interaction CANNOT be beat! Seriously, the best time ever.

I wasn't a huge fan of either Whispering Canyon Cafe or Biergarten. They were both just okay to me.

Chef de France was good, but I haven't been there for a long time (since the remy days), so it may be different now.

1900 Park Fare is just the best overall experience in my opinion.

No question: park fare!!!!
Any meal. Get your strawberry soup first, in case they run out! :rockband:
Seriously.

I would go with either Biergarten or Chefs. My husband & I did 1900 last year, for the first time, and we were like "meh". Nothing special or memorable at all about that meal. The characters were interactive, but honestly, I don't dine with characters in mind. We won't be rushing back. Haven't had dinner at Whispering Canyon for years, but have had breakfast, which is your usual standard Disney breakfast. The only thing that would make me want to go to Whispering Canyon for dinner is if I wanted to visit Wilderness Lodge, and hang out there for a bit, maybe get a drink & sit by Bay Lake watching the boats, which I love to do, or if I were bringing my little grandsons, who would love the cast interaction at WCC. Otherwise, it wouldn't be high on my list, unless you love & want BBQ, of course, which we do, but still wouldn't be enough reason for me to go. I'd rather go to Territory Lounge and have something there, while I was visiting Wilderness Lodge, or Roaring Forks. On the other hand, I love Epcot, and go every chance I get, and I really like the atmosphere of Chefs de France. It's such a pretty restaurant, and the french onion soup is pretty good, too! Love Biergarten! I love the entertainment, and the fact that it's not your usual Disney buffet foods, and I love that it's in Epcot!

I'm a WC fan...love the barbecue and corn bread, the wait staff are too funny, very entertaining. It is loud...so if this is an issue don't go. The Lodge is beautiful, the whole place has a great atmosphere.
